I know I'm sorry :( I made progress though this weekend! I went through my garage and moved most of the games there (the ones that are ready and the ones that aren't quite, like the Tanares group packs). I'll itemize it all again to ensure I have everything set aside then pull who gets what :) Sadly that's easier said above than done and it took hours >.

It might be worth you taking a look at what is happening in Grimcoven. Awaken Realms got too greedy and people are calling them Ubisoft and pushing back. I never thought I would see many comments saying they are cancelling their pledge with 30+ votes EACH... in an Awaken Realms campaign. Looks like Awaken Realms are fast becoming the EA of boardgaming

I feel the same way about miniscule discounts. I actually laughed the first time I walked into a store and saw a "ON SALE! 9.99 instead of 10.00" sticker. like what?! LOL

there is a popular board game store site that a handful of their items which are on sale, if you look closer the slashed price is actually lower than the sale price. I'm not sure if it's a mistake or if they did it on purpose. I contacted them and never got a response.

Good lord, just when I think I've caught up with most of the games, having just come into the hobby a couple of years ago, and backed the 'all previous content' levels of multiple recent campaigns I find out that Harakiri exists!

I think that Asmodee is abandoning the Star Wars games simply because sales of all Star Wars merchandise is way down (most Ollie's are just crammed with the newer Star Wars stuff that does not sell). Disney has managed to really kill off any interest in that franchise for many former fans.

There is a reason almost all games go to the original series. Notice there's no game tie in for current star wars like there used to be. Every movie came with associated games. Now? No Acolyte game is there? :P

X-Wing 2.0 used an app for list building but that app has been removed. So you'll need to use 3rd party alternatives to play your old stuff. This is the downside we all talked about when games started to move to being app-based which is one of the reason I won't buy an app-based game anymore (the other being that playing boardgames is something I use to get away from screens).

Not really, the whole app-based squad building thing didn't really catch on and AMA released the points for everything on free pdfs. you can reference that and/or use external apps. Not ideal if you ask me (it never was to not print stuff on the cards) but I guess games like Fallout WW work the same and they are futureproofed...

Happy to see Terrorscape back. It was one of those I was very tempted by in the first campaign, but being a publisher I knew less about, and not proven, I held off, knowing that if it was good, it would be back for a second chance to purchase, probably with improvements. Crowdfunding rule these days seems to be that if something is good, it will return for a second chance to acquire. I really don't care about the "Save $5" when it's something that costs hundreds.

X-Wing - it is worth to note that this game was LCG with prepainted ships models. You were buying a set with a ship to collect cards that were important for you. Great game, with excelent fan made online builder, with fan based Wikipedia with rules and cards description, good designer feedback with community (at least I enjoyed). It was really great, but they have released a second edition making X-Wing 1.0 cards obsolete, and the reason for buying those sets with cards in the past was rendered as mistake releasing a card box containig all the new version of cards. That made the X-Wing 2.0 dropped from community focus, less attention, Star Wars franchise going woke, less product sells, so the effect was as described in video.

Horn of the Abyss is totally worth it. It's a free fan made expansion with campaigns, new factions, and other things. It has almost single handedly kept HoMM3 alive for the past several years. We are all so stoked that HotA content was added to the BG!

Couldn’t care less about x wing and Armada being axed. I bought all the ships I wanted from episode 4,5 and 6 purely for the models. Probably played the game like 3 times. Anything that wasn’t in those movies I didn’t bother with. Armada I passed on.

Looking at that pricing, exact amounts gives the deal an actual amount. When I sold advertising, the Publisher hated percentages in sales. He didn't want ads that offered 10% off, he wanted $10 on sales over $100. Then the coupon is worth $10 not some amorphous percentage. I agree those amounts do not inspire me to buy more. They needed a bigger bundle to offer $20 or $30 on a bundle. And for your butcher, I get it. You need a threshold to pay attention but $1 on a $5 piece can be nice.

Interesting info thank you for sharing! I think for crowdfunding specifically, since "shipping" (read, freight as well) ends up having us pay well above retail price. So when I see a smaller sale all I think about is how much more I'm paying than retail. "Save $5, spent $28 on shipping" just doesn't sound great to me :D

@TheKingOfAverage you touched upon the Adventures in Neverland KS a while back. A Dutch reporter just released an expose on that campaign today. Here on youtube. He interviews one of the creators. Future of that game is not looking bright. Not sure if you want me to link the video here for you or send it to you in some other way. Video is in Dutch, but I think youtube can generate English subtitles.

I own both the original moba and the skytear horde. SKytear Horde is not really for me, it's really a solo experience (at least the original without expansions, maybe they do change the way the game is played). I am not the fun of card games though. The box and components inside are premium though. Just recently played Skytear (the moba) and damn, the rulebook is kinda mess, there is difference between the components described and inside the box. I have retail lang version so maybe there has been some problem in communication. I only played once. Was really hesitant, but oh boy this game has some depth if you implement everying into your game. The only drawback is the core is 8 characters and you use all of them during the game. So the replayability, although quite good lacks a bit. Really curious how they evolved as developers and what new they have in store for players.

The whole situation is confusing. Asmodee bought FFG. Then they created Atomic Mass Games specifically to create Marvel Crisis Protocol. The guys at AMG wanted to make a Star Wars skirmish game so Asmodee gave them ALL of the Star Wars miniature games. This all happened before Embracer Group bought Asmodee. I think this was some sort of big brain plan to have FFG focus on board games and have separate divisions that handled miniature games (and RPGs, which FFG also lost). So now, unless you are interested in Star Wars or Marvel card games, there isn't much remaining with FFG. Sad because FFG used to be my #1 game company.

@@Hedgehobbit I still like FFG for other IPs. The Arkham stuff is pretty good if you like Lovecraft. My group is going through LOTR:Journeys in Middle Earth which is pretty fun. But yeah, I loved FFG Star Wars stuff. I"m glad I was able to get all the Imperial Assault stuff at least. The only thing I wish I could justify owning is that Super Star Destroyer for Armada. I had a few models for SWA but none of my group wanted to get into it so I didn't bother getting a lot.

@@korofrog I haven't seen an expansion for Arkham Horror 3rd Edition in awhile (the Serpent one is that last I recall) and the Arkham Horror Card Game has gotten so complicated that I checked out a few cycles ago. And the LotR: Journeys game is already five years old. FFG used to have major, news worthy, releases every single year.

@@Hedgehobbit yeah, sadly i think LotR: Journeys is done. AH LCG i didn't start buying until the rerelease, still haven't gotten around to playing that yet. Right now, just working on getting the Marvel Champions stuff....slowly. I really hope FFG can get back to their former glory.

FFG have very little left to offer other than re-hash, re-theme, re-implement and the occasional new game with reused mechanics from their other games. They’re no longer a front runner in gaming. You find better games through crowd funding. Cmon aren’t much better.

Star Wars is kind of a dead franchise anyway as long as it stays in the hands of Disney, the sales are dropping like flies all around on the franchise, so not really surprised to see it dropped.

That doesn't seem to be based in reality, given the sales of the Shatterpoint line. This is not an IP decision. This seems like Asmodee gave a team a scheme and a product they werent equipped to handle, and it got hot-potatoed with no work on it until a business leader could claim that sales weren't there to continue it as a product line. AMG does not have the expertise in producing pre-painted, pre-assembled, large models for sale. They just don't do that, as their models all require assembly and painting. Rather than figure it out and try to keep pushing it for a profit, they dropped the line. Whether or not that was Asmodee's plan all along (to dumpster the less profitable line, to offload assembly and painting onto buyers since the margin on that wasn't large enough) is up for discussion.

It is hit or miss. Acolyte is pretty bad. However, Disney made andor and rogue one which is better than anything Lucas ever did
