I just sold my 20 year old pinless Matco 3/8 drive set and picked up these Astros in both metric and SAE. Look very nice for the price!

I've had them bout 6months now...got the 3/8s and 1/2 in set...use them daily on high end impacts as lead tech at a shop..they replaced my old gearwrench swivel set...I love the pinless design and they fit in tight areas way better...perfect for pulling bellhousing bolts on motor and trans...and axles and driveshafts..franks red hot..I use these shits on everything

Is it better to get 3/8 set? or 1/2 set?
@mv7pitbull87
@mv7pitbull87 6 ай бұрын
Depends what you use more...I did 1/2 inch first to really test them out and I'm a rust belt mechanic...(chicago) so I'm usually beating, heating and treating everything ..lol..the 3/8 are great too, specially if u do normal repairs that aren't coverd in years of rust and corrosion

@@mv7pitbull87 Thanks. I'm a lubetech in Oklahoma but I usually use high torque impact so maybe I should get a 1/2. But I really hate skips 😂😂

So, can you do a review where you actually use the socket with an impact wrench? Otherwise it’s just a whole lotta talking and pointing

Cool. Just grabbed these for sixty smackers. Watching the video for the third time in anticipation of getting them. Also, if the fix your own stuff, it's easier to justify tool expenditures to your wife/husband/partner/etc....

Got mine yesterday and they are good but the 10 is way to fat wall thickness wise compared to the rest. Was thinking maybe mine was defective but yours looks the same in the video as mine disappointed in that.

If you need an impact for a 10mm shot has seriously hit the the proverbial fan… I work on Toyota/Lexus. Only use the 10mm on my ratchet. Never anything more. Too small for any impacting.

@@JonesingForTools that's a question I wrestle with, the most and only worn socket is the 17mm. If they are equally worn after 5years then it's worth it. In my case it's just the 17mm and I don't think I can buy that socket separately so it's not worth it.

They look pretty good most of my sockets are 1/2 and 3/4 inch, set of these may be a good idea ........ trouble is, you didn't show us you actually using any of them, so is this a review (NO NOT REALLY) video or really a advert which isn't very good? I am now confused.
