Nice idea, but for now, I will stick to using my lenovo thinkvision M14 screen with ny xps 13, when on the road. It plugs into the usb-c port that supports video and works brilliantly. I love the matt screen on it. My next laptop will be a 14 inch, so the two screens are the same. As I work on a dual monitor system behind the desk all day (xps plugged into a dock with all accessories) and often have many applications open at a time, this makes me work more efficiently when on the road. Once you get used to working with dual monitors, it is hard to go back to working with one, especially when you need to flick between multiple applications. Great review as always, Andrew. Thank you again for the great work and content.

Hurray nice work reviewing this machine! 👌 This laptop is a good conteder for my new desktop replacement if they had a 17 inch mobile workstation with Intel Xeon and GRAPHICS: NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 3000. My other options are Dell Precision 5750 Mobile Workstation 17" or Lenovo Thinkpad P17

Thanks Andrew. You are so cool and straight forward with your reviews. Your pros and cons are most valuable. I looked for your review before I purchased this laptop a month back. Its definitely not a gimmick second screen if your profession demands multi-windows running concurrent data. I use a mouse but I must say being right handed, I prefer the touch pad to the right instead of below (centre). I run dual-boot OS, and this laptop is perfect for linux/Ubuntu and ROS2 (robotics development). I got the 16gb version with Mx450 but I think the 8gb will do fine for most daily tasks. The screen nits are more than average laptop and the thunderbolt ⚡ 4 ports are much needed. It's a pity that Ryzen not available on this as I would have preferred that only if they included USB4. It's silly to buy a laptop today without future proofing with ⚡ 4 or USB4 irrespective of intel vs amd. Thanks Andrew for your review... You are just so talented.

I bought the 32GB / 1TB version but unfortunately I returned it after 3 days. I was hoping that the additional screen would make working with the laptop on my lap more pleasant, unfortunately the location of the keyboard causes only problems. To write comfortably, you need to move the laptop away on your lap, but then the visibility of the additional screen drops significantly. When the laptop is placed like a traditional laptop, then the hands must bend at a very unpleasant angle. Additionally, I often confused the right arrow with the left mouse click on the touchpad. The laptop is good on a desk because it has very good performance, but if you want to use this laptop on a desk, it is better to buy a traditional laptop and an additional screen for this amount.

I love that Asus is finally starting to bring blue back into its Zenbook colorways. I hope they make Royal Blue a thing again, but just as importantly, I hope they make their Zenbooks more upgradeable in the future.

These laptops are tough to find but I was able to get the MX450 version three weeks ago. So far I'm liking it. The keyboard position is somethin to get used to. This laptop has everything I want except a higher hz rate for the monitor.

I can definitely see all your fingerprints on the top. I initially thought that second screen would be gimmicky but after seeing your video, I think it would be very useful. I could see myself taking advantage of it working from home. I miss having dual screens at work and I just don't have the room on my desk at home to put two monitors so this would come in handy a bit.

You can try using portable USB monitor. It’s using very small amount of place.

If it Using AMD Ryzen 5000 U Series. I will consider it Maybe I'm AMD Team. But, I'm More impressed to AMD Ryzen 5000 U Series just because is more Powerful

Have you tried connecting this to the external monitor? I'm wondering how does it work then? So either you drag windows to the right or to the bottom? How about switching with that button on the right?

Works exactly like you'd expect - Windows just treats the screenpad as an external display and then any other displays can be dragged around the arrangement as normal

Just have 2 questions: 1. Is the pen magnetic? I mean does the pen stick to the side of the laptop? 1. I am a student. Would I be able to watch a video lecture on the main screen, and have OneNote to takes notes using the pen on the secondary screen? Thanks for another great review!!

Not magnetic. But sleeve has loop for pen. Yes you can use one note on second screen

Yes, I pulled yesterday's video. It got buried by KZfaq out of the gate. This is performing slightly better. But the overall interest in this laptop is low.

What a great design for a laptop only to be brought down to it's knees by that weak 4 core intel apu in 2021. An 8 core 4800U-5800U would make this an insta-buy for me.

It is beautifull, it is an awesome concept for a laptop, but... Those negative points are some very negative points in 2021, and could shift a user opinion on to buying something else. And that webcam, come on... This is 2021, we have mobile phones with much better front facing cameras, than the one on the asus. Cool design, cool concept for a laptop, but not enough to convince the more technical clients.

Interesting PC. Duel screen is sort of gimmerky. Kind of distracting. Also Asus should have come out with a model that has the mouse on the left side for left handed people. Nice display on main screen. Port selection is good. Web cam and sound quality are typical with most other units. How is the keyboard spacing and key size with the track pad on the right? Is it too small? Still a great "first looks" review.
