Hey, @Jarrod's Tech. Thanks for the lovely detailed review. I am such a proponent for the second screen. Having used portable secondary laptop screens and having had to lug them around when I need them on the go, I think that having an inbuilt secondary monitor is something that I could definitely work with. Even better would be the concept of working with a total of 4 screens; say for instance - the 2 inbuilt here and the Mobile Pixels Trio or Packed Pixels Go for example. I wonder how the version with the mx-450 would be as far as battery life and thermals go, but almost 6 hrs with 2 screens at 70Whr is better than what is presently the case with the portable external monitors I mentioned. Keep up the awesome work.

Hey Jarrod, I am a great fan of yours. I am just stuck between two of my buying choices. I am totally confused about which one to buy, Zenbook Pro duo 4K OLED or the Zephyrus pro duo see FHD 300HZ (4K is not available still in my country: Shall I wait for it). My preference is both gaming and Research (Gaming about 2-3hrs daily and research: 8-10hrs). What shall I buy? Or shall I wait for the 4K UHD model (I have also some eye strain issues). Hey, I've just started watching your vids and I was wondering if/when you might do a review on the Legion 5 pro 16inch with the rtx 3070 I'm considering buying a laptop and since the new Nvidia GPUs don't indicate whether they're max-Q or max-P I would like to make an informed decision. I often have to transfer data from one program to another and this would work well for that. Thinking about it, I could also see working in CAD being easier as the windows for the console could be on the lower screen. I think I have just found my next laptop. Thanks!

This is the best review i've seen for this laptop. You should know however that this laptop also comes with the option to add an NVIDIA GPU so some of those benchmarks especially the exporting part can be better

I got this about a week ago. Can't go back to a regular laptop. I love this thing. I use the second screen all the time. Also very fast for what I use it for as well as good battery life. It's just so cool!

I would like to please ask how you found the display refresh rate overall and in games, i have bought basically the same model with the Intel Iris Xe gpu but im going crazy because i keep feeling theres something wrong with its refresh rate, testing it out through Testufo it still looks like it has some stuttering in it and/or ghosting. Comparing side by side with my phone at 60 fps and phone still looks smoother, can i get your or someone elses opinion on this? Thanks

It can be nice for content creators , but not for intensive workloads. For those cases, I think that a more powerful laptop is essential even at the cost of usability (having two screen).

Im a full time online teacher and curriculum designer so using this duo PC is perfect for copying details and info from a PDF in the small screen to the PPT in the big screen. For online teacher all your extra needs, ebooks, chatting apps are all there while youre having a class (even can sneak in a movie during online meetings lol.) This Asus is totally designed for teachers IMOP

Honestly they should just throw out the physical keyboard and touchpad altogether and replace them with a second full-size screen. People then can use either the stylus or peripheral inputs. Make it look like two tablets glued together. Then at some point in the future replace the hinges with a foldable screen. That shoulda do it.

@@JarrodsTech I noticed it is doing much better in Photoshop and one other content creation workload compared to other Tiger Lake CPUs. Is it a case of better driver optimisation helping out the Zenbook Duo unlike the other laptops benchmarked earlier which might not have those optimisations?

I want to use this for music production. I want to use the screenpad below as a replacement for a midi keyboard. I will only be triggering samples and drum patterns. I wonder if it's possible with this version. I've seen one with a 14 inch screen 7 intel,16 gb memory and 1tb. Should be possible right?

Yes it is. if you have a software for MIDI triggers, you just pull down onto the second screen and done. I use XotoPad with Traktor Pro (and S2 HW controller) and it does work.

People who say two screens is waste of time have never used two screens, its like having two cooking pans, yeah sure you can cook whatever food in one pan, but if you had two you can get double the cooking effectively reducing time needed to prepare food. Its the same with screens, you can put more on it, what if you need to edit a document and you need a reference? Just put it on the second screen, no need to loose out half the tools because you split your 15 inch screen in order to fit the reference, to begin with, in Photoshop and InDesign its not that easy to just split the apps unless you have a 1440p+ screen.

Don't go for the MSI GS66, you'll want an AMD Ryzen CPU, and only ASUS and Lenovo have premium AMD gaming options.

Might get one with 32GB of RAM, if the price drops some 150 euros or more, rather good bang for the buck imho given the form and accessories that come with it. However, Id rather get it in Ryzen 5 or 7 flawour, dont get it why they dont have one yet? Other of their Zenbook laptops come with Ryzen, not all, but still. Oh and dedicated video graphics card needs some boost to better model with bigger RAM given the price.
