The Austin 1800 model entered my collection thanks to my friend from the United States, who gave me several Triang Spot-on models. These models are quite rare on the market and their prices reach significant amounts. The Austin 1800 was a complete but well-worn model. Its windshield was virtually non-existent and its front bumper had no side whiskers. I removed these inconveniences and brought the model to a state in which it can be presented. I also made a box based on graphics I found on the Internet. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can turn on subtitles in your language with commentary on the activity in the video.

My dad used to have one of these when I was a child. Many fond memories of going on holiday with a 13ft boat strapped to the roof and an outboard engine and fuel tank in the boot (that's trunk for your American friend 😊).

Maestro!! The grill work was a joy to watch you perfect. Whiskers, license plate bracket, and all the fine adjustments!! The clear piece was tricky to have just the front windows open. I love your color choice!! It was interesting this model had a plastic suspension rather than the usual coil springs. The Spot On Tri-ang models are rare and great to put in one's collection! Congrats on a beautiful job and wonderful outcome, Maestro!!❤❤😊

Great result with this model - as usual! These Triang Spot-on models are very expensive to buy and yet often have broken bumpers/grills/lights with these parts being plastic. Excellent repairs and paint work Paul. 👍👏

A superb restoration! The model is unique with the amount of detail writing cast into the base plate. A model of the Mark 1 Land Crab. The Mark 2 is easily distinguished by its vertical tail lights.

I remember these were quite common in Australia. The Land Crab name was often mentioned in motoring magazines. A unique coupe utility version was also available.

At first I also thought that there were no figures there, but while looking at various models of this brand, I didn't see any figures in any of them, so I don't know why the company made holes in the seats, it's very possible that they also installed this cockpit in other cars.
