So I found your channel when I was researching kibbe body types, but I subscribed bc I really just like your vibe. You could literally post about anything and I’d still watch. Thanks for being so open about your queerness-I have a hard time opening up about that bc of how I was raised. Your honesty and authenticity is so refreshing and makes me want to be more myself. Thank you💖

Fellow queer here who just recently stumbled onto Kibbe as I try to reconnect with my style as a form of (ideally empowering) expression. I'm so glad the Kibbe rabbit hole brought me here - I truly appreciate your thoughtful, nuanced, and soul-centered approach to all this. I'd much rather hear about your current journey (even if it has very little to do with "style tips") than sift through yet another comments-thread argument about whether flamboyant gamines *absolutely must* be shorter than 5'5". Thanks for being an honest and evolving voice out in these KibbeTube wilds.

I would looove to hear your thoughts on Kibbe through a queer lens. Such a unique perspective. I will say, as a fellow gay, it sounds contradicting but I actually feel like I’ve been able to dress a LOT more queer bc of Kibbe! Anyway, at the end of the day, it’s just a tool that everyone should pick and choose what they find useful and leave the rest behind.

I agree! Which is why i don't want to ditch the method completely, but rather figure out a new way to speak about bodies that feels more inclusive and supportive to me. But yes, take what resonates, leave the rest!

I love your nuanced take on kibbe. ive been getting into kibbe a lot lately and i feel like it can be genuinely useful but theres a lot of nuance thats often lost when ppl apply it in very strict ways. I also appreciate you mentioning the queer aspect of things, im trans and its made me realize that a lot of the gendered aspects of kibbe just dont work very well for a lot of trans or even cis gnc ppl. Btw happy to hear you're in enviroments where you feel more able to be yourself, and exist as you are (:

"You are the wisest person when it comes to your physical form" 💯 Whew, this queer meat-sack deeply needed to hear this. I really appreciate the Kibbe universe bringing me here, because I was getting overwhelmed with the content feeling so dogmatic - especially for this gender fluid pansexual trying hard to break free of the male gaze after years of masking by performing femininity. Sorry to word vomit all of that haha but just seriously, thank you so much for sharing your journey.

I have learned to use some of the principles of the Kibbe insofar as they are useful to me. I’m less interested in adhering to one dude’s System. But yin/yang, accommodating curve/width, understanding vertical. I feel like you can definitely apply the tools to accomplish your style goals.

Hi Frani 😊, I really appreciate the courage that you have expressing your true self, and sharing your process of thinking. About Kibbe, I'm finally glad to hear someone talk about the limitations of the system, especially for queer people, I'm 100% joining you on the fact that style should be comfortable and empowering. I feel that it's super complicated to create a Kibbe like system that would work for any individual. Like the goal of those kind of systems themself is to generalize ways to define bodies. I really struggled myself navigating through them, with their uncomfortable binary/sexist ways. The only things that I learned and kept are certain guidelines of body proportions, effects with colors and aesthetics/vibe/inspirations that I'm drawn to. But it took me a lot of time and frustration learning the rules, to later throw the majority of them away because I felt caged and sexualised where I wanted to feel free of rules and free of the male gaze. I feel the main goal is to push intuition, to feel empowered. It should be more of a therapeutic/reconnecting with your true self rather than trying to connect to a system that can't really adapt to you. But maybe there could be a neutral way to present color theory/body proportions/personal therapeutic discovery all together, it could be a really safe and fun place to learn about oneself. Maybe starting by changing all of the concept of rules and and this ideal of appearing always perfect, linear, in proportion, according to some outdated beauty standard. I don't know if what I wrote is really understandable, english isn't my mothertongue 😅 I'm really excited to see what you'll be doing, I'll be there ✌️ Lots of love and support from France and Happy Pride month 😊🏳️‍🌈

Ugh this warmed my heart to watch. Sending you love and peace for the hard things you’re going through- and celebration for all the healing joy and growth. About Kibbe- 100% yes to everything you said here. Kibbe is a tool- not a law. Lately I’ve kinda felt like I’ve “outgrown” the popular ideology of Kibbe in broad terms- with any ideology there’s a propensity for a toxically fundamentalist pov (not to mention Kibbe theory is from the 80s, which translates to a woeful deficit of representation and not enough room for nuance). I am still so appreciative of the role the Kibbe system played in helping me understand/ accept the proportions and design of my body (and also because it introduced me to you ☺️). There also comes a point where it’s just a language- and language is fluid and only as helpful as how it’s utilized in conversation.

The process I go through now with fashion has shifted from following formulas to asking myself these questions: 1) Does this item feel authentic to who I am? 2) Am I subconsciously trying to portray an image of myself that isn't me/is what I think society wants me to be for my gender/job description/age/parental and marital status? 3) Do I really need to try and advertise statements about myself via my clothing and accessories like so many people do, or can I be okay with my introversion and embrace muted colors and simplicity? 4) Is the item physically comfortable, or will it never be worn? 5) Do I just want to buy this uncomfortably form-fitting/sexy garment because it's proportional? (Anything that feels too sexy for me never gets worn as an introvert who dislikes attention). I much prefer gender-neutral, casual clothing. The wrong clothes always make me feel like I have imposter syndrome, but questions 2 and 5 above have been very clarifying when I feel uncertain.

Haven’t even watched yet. And I know I’m gonna resonate with this. There is something about being authentically yourself that is far greater than obsessing over harmonious lines. 😍 Seeing my comment sections being about kibbe alone made me realize this. Edit- happy pride :) (I left the evangelical community too. One reason being how my close friends in this community were treated.) Im so excited for anyone who is finding there safe places right now. Congratulations ❤

🎉 Happy Pride!! 🌈 I love hearing about your lifestyle and personal style in whichever way feels most comfortable. I reached out in the past for a consult and then got nervous haha. I like your ideas about finding an individual style and how to help make it comfortable within various body types and for various gender identities. And no matter which direction your input takes I'll always enjoy it! ❤

Hi Frani!! This is from a nonbinary in Sweden that has enjoyed your content for quite awhile. I love seeing/being a part of your journey. The moving vlog and these new spaces you're talking about ✨🤩 Your videos and like your way of talking about kibbe has never felt - i don't really know the word... Let's just say that it has always felt good hearing YOU talk about kibbe style. You have a way of being both soft/humble while the educational side comes through at the same time. So it's possible to take the og theory with a grain of salt. Can't wait to hear more about those new insights though! 👋
