Automatic Under Bonnet / Hood LED Light

We're showing how to make and install an automatic under bonnet/hood LED light. And best of all you could try something like this for as little as $20 or under in materials with only basic tools.
If you’re anything like me you spend a heap of time working in the engine bay, and not always in the comfort of your own garage! Or maybe you want to show off all the work you’ve done under there next time you’re waiting for a kebab. Either way this mod will be perfect for you.
We also show how to make a version that isn’t permanently installed that can be folded away to stash in the glove box or use as a cheap work light.

My dad did this about 20 year ago. There was no led’s back then. He used small clear clearance lights from a trailer. When you do lots of 4wding, the lights are a must.

I just thinking about the old man would always hook up aftermarket relays on all his lights, bigger batteries, alternators every vehicle....music in his bike helmet, boys loved Thier tech upgrades long before leds became popular.

Probably not going to happen, I shouldn’t but I really do hate cleaning cars. Let’s be honest, those lights are there to help finding the tools/bolts I forgot in there or dropped from the last job! Thanks mate 👍

Great little install Browny, most of the leds in strips draw about 4amps I better go and tidy my wiring, ha ha!😅

Nice spot mate, I do love a good E series, and there will be one on the channel at some point. That cover is from a mates old car, he smoother it out and polished it pretty much all by hand! Seen better days now but I can’t part with it.

dust your engine cover and fuse box matt black bud, it will look better, same with the PCM.
