Tip 1. Engine Radiator caps play up on these often.. and water will not recover over time from ones Reservoir.. Tip 2. Dont just replace the Cap, Clean the surfaces inside the housing where the 2 O'rings mate, they can pit or corrode with time. Tip 3. Make sure the Reservoir recovery hose is not partially/totally blocked. If you dont do this your new Cap will just be a half arsed fix .. 😄

When ya put the diff cradle back in how did you go aligning it. I heard you need to align the diff using dowels?

My bf GTP makes a bit of a nock when you take off or on and off trowel might be centre bearing .

Yea mate I put the Penrite in it & had to go back to Castrol because until the car warmed up the Penrith made the changes like they were slow motion taking 2 - 3 seconds .. think it was too thick.

Can the head studs be done with the engine still in Brownie or will the head not get past the firewall

Thought I'd re-watch some Browney's Garage Videos again. Since this was first posted I have done a full service on the 4 speed in my BA sedan. As it was done on a hoist in a friends mechanics workshop I had all the tools at hand to not need to crawl under the car. Huge help when it came to refilling the gearbox. Ended up using a total of 20 litres to flush out and re-fill it. The car drives like new. Hope you get well enough to post more videos Browney. All the best.

I was surprised at the sound change on mine just changing the turbo. From r34 turbo to a 3071. Went from an air whoosh to a squeaky air whoosh. Blocked that recirc valve immediately. Just need a catch can now so I can replace the rubber intake.

I brought 1 for 500 bux. Has been great. Had dent guard but replaced * new tyer rods and sway bars and going well and was owned by tatslotto lol as iv got manual to it. Beautiful car to drive. It got my licence back after 10years :-) 🎉🎉

To stop the engine rotating under air pressure could you lock the harmonic balancer Bolt or something similar???

I referenced this video for this job yesterday and one thing I have to say, is that this is a very satisfying repair to complete. A simple task, but doing one which both makes the central locking work AND makes the car secure again is doubly satisfying.

I have thought to make a video or post on this many times, but I’d honestly hoped I wouldn’t have to as it makes it somehow more real. I’ve managed to properly injure my back, to the point where I was hospitalised and couldn’t even walk for a week or so. Despite my best effort it doesn’t look to be drastically improving any time soon and we may be heading for surgery now after narrowly avoiding having to do so back in July. Day to day life is ok, it could be much worse, but I’m restricted in many things I can do and on a healthy dose of pain meds. So working on cars and making any new videos won’t be possible, at least any time soon. Truth be told I was considering finishing up the channel at least for a while in the near future before this, purely because the time and investment involved was starting to take me away from other things I was getting more enjoyment from. It was almost becoming a second job… albeit one where I get to make dad jokes, share my dumb mistakes and occasional success with you all. So maybe this making the decision for me isn’t all bad. Nothing is final but for now I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped support in any way, big or small. I’ve been lucky to do some of the things you daydream about with a group of mates but often never get around to doing and it’s because of the channel and support it got. These videos, the support, feedback, the many helpful hints you’ve all given me and just sharing messages with some like minded people has been a huge part of my life for the last few years and I’m proud of what we achieved. On my ve Commodore I fixed same problem by replacing battery with brand new one and after that newer had those vornings!!!
