Not sure why the current saw from BCA wasn’t featured, since the BCA saw that was actually featured hasn’t been available for at least 5 + years?!

We included that saw as it is still a good saw and a popular one in its day. The point of the video is to show what to look for in different saws and not necessarily those exact saws, they are just examples. But thanks for the input.

Thanks for the question and comments. The strange thing is that I bought this BCA saw a couple of years ago. I saw it for sale last year as well. Its sad to see they retired it. But I assume the new saw is great as BCA generally makes excellent product. One reason I didn't include it is that I don't have the new BCA saw and don't want to comment on something I don't know. I hope BCA sends me their new saw for me to use this winter and give it a full test. That older version took down many trees at helicopter pad landings while heli skiing! Thanks for the feedback and we will continue to improve our videos 🙂.

the real longterm solution for marking from my poit of view is to realy mark it with a steal file or a fine line with an agle grinder , or a more elegant and nicer solution , make a stencile and sand blast it or etch it in with some kind of acid on the saw .

Agreed with all of these options, just too bad that manufacturers doesn't use these instead of inexpensive silkscreening as they do on most saws.
