I’ve just found your channel after looking into Aveda products and it's so useful. Thank you! I am a bit unsure whether to just get the daily damage repair or perhaps invest in one of these products too; I have relatively heat damaged hair from excessive straightening and blowdrying, (I have given up straightening now on my quest to healthy hair), however I have never bleached/dyed it. My natural hair is wavy/curly type 2a/b/c & is now also straight in places too due to the heat damage. It also can get fairly frizzy & has strands of varying lengths due to breakage. My Aveda be curly curl enhancer and confixor gel already has some protein in it too so this adds to me questioning if one of these products would be beneficial as well or if I should only get the daily damage repair. Sorry that this has been a long comment! I would love to hear what you think. Many thanks:)

Charlotte thanks so much for your comment! I think daily hair repair will really help, without seeing your hair in person my best hunch is you won't need these since you're hair isn't chemically treated. I would start with hair repair, continue with be curly and confixer and if you feel like your hair still feels rough start with the shampoo. Btw what shampoo and conditioner are you using now?

I am currently using the sap moss shampoo and the damage remedy leave in conditioner - which my hair lovessssss. This makes my hair have movement, some kind of shine, honestly if I could use more of it my hair I would - but the bottle is small. My hair is thick, I have enough hair that equals two heads. I want to tackle the frizz without weighing it down. Does the treatment help with frizz?
@DeronEdward
@DeronEdward 4 жыл бұрын
It certainly does help with frizz, but it really depends on the source of that frizz. Do you use hair color or any other chemical treatments? If not, you may have more luck with Cherry Almond leave in conditioner or Nutriplenish Multi-use Oil for your frizz :)

I just started at Aveda Minneapolis last month and I decided to take my hair out of my “protective” styling after a couple of years so I could get to know it and better help my clients with their hair, I had no idea how damaged my hair was going to be but it’s unbelievably dry and brittle, I have naturally really curly hair but it’s just a giant wavy puffy mess. Any tips on how to make my thin coily hair healthy again?

Hey, i have the aveda leave in conditioner (cherry almond) and use an aveda oil for my hair ends. My hair is very straw like and I have breached it once. It's also very straight/wavy, thick, prone to frizz and tangling (though its gotten better with the products above), and is not elastic at all (no stretch just breaks). If I used the shampoo twice a week and the intensive restructuring treatment once a week for 5 min, do you think it'll help my hair? Or do i need the conditioner as well? P.S. I do not style my hair or use any heating products. I let my hair air dry. Sorry for being a year late x.x hope you see this.

Hey better late than never 😊 I wouldn’t rely on the treatment as your only conditioner, also in the last few months Botanical Repair came out, you might consider getting the professional strengthening treatment in an Aveda salon if there’s one near you. If not I would get the Botanical Repair Rich Masque

I just now found your products and Already own (haven't used yet) aveda damage remedy daily hair repair AND intensive restructuring treatment. I want to use it the right way. what would you suggest? and do you think I should also get the shampoo and conditioner? I need moisture.
@DeronEdward
@DeronEdward 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear about your hair troubles, is your hair chemically processed? High lights or perms? This line will give you moisture but you might use nutriplenish shampoo instead of damage remedy shampoo, the intensive restructuring treatment is great once a week, and daily hair repair after every shower/bath

Hey Alex, unless your thinning is caused chemical services I would look into the Aveda Invati system, and split ends really need to be trimmed to be healthy again, damage remedy might help short term, but if you’re going to spend the money I’d look at Invati

@@DeronEdward OMG!!!! Did it help!!!! Like you said my hair did not feel like hair, after just one use, my hair felt like silk!!! Seriously, I couldn’t stop touching it. The Stylist took a brush and started at the crown, brushed my dry kinky hair on both sides and on top, so I have broken uneven pieces ALL OVER from the ROOTS with balls on the ends and I keep getting it cut. And then she told me , “ you need a trim”, I had just got 3 inches cut a week prior. I think COVID19 has some Stylists desperate for business. My hair was gorgeous before I sat in her chair, I was in shock and paralyzed 😭 That was a year ago and I’m still cutting my hair often, not sure what what else to do. Thank you for responding!!!!

I wear a headscarf and a undercap underneath made out of cotton. i have wore this for over 5 years and never really used to treat it in the right way. My hair is extremly dry and damaged, and it does not reallt grow that much anymore. I am trying to use a silk underap instead of a cotton undercap but my hair still needs more than that. I do not dye my hair at all and I do not use any sort of heat (i let it dry on its own) could you recommend me some products that will help my, curly, frizzy, dry, damaged and tangling hair?

Hello Assia, I'd be happy to help :) You mentioned your hair is dry and damaged, is it damaged due to chemical services? How long has it been since your last haircut? I have some recommendations, but I want to make sure they are the most appropriate for your hair.

I recently started using the travel size set, and it’s amazing! I love how my hair feels afterwards, but it does seem to get oily faster than it used to. Is that normal?
@DeronEdward
@DeronEdward 4 жыл бұрын
Great question, I'm glad you love it! There are a couple possible answers but I will take a guess. Remember the shampoo is sulfate free so it isn't removing all of your hair's natural oils. If you had been using a sulfate based cleanser before, that could be why your hair seems to get oily faster. It may take a couple weeks of use for your scalp to adapt and produce a little less oil. In the mean time I recommend keeping the conditioner/treatment at the mid shaft and ends. Also make sure you rinse really thoroughly, Let me know if this helps!

I have naturally curly course African American hair. I had my hair highlighted and am now having a lot of breakage and split ends especially where the highlights are. I blow dry and flat iron my hair once a week. Could you please tell me the best products I could use to keep my hair from breaking and go get it healthy again?
@DeronEdward
@DeronEdward 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jessica, sorry to hear about your hair situation. I would definitely recommend this line, the shampoo, conditioner, and intensive treatment once every other week. I'd also use the Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener before your blow dry and flight iron. (I don't have a video for that one yet) Also, in September, Aveda is releasing Botanical Repair, which will be even more effective for strengthening and repairing your highlights. If you need a solution now, go with Damage Remedy, and when you run out switch to Botanical Repair.

I started trying Aveda aug 2020 because I heard so much about it. And followed. Hair dresser on Instagram Nuala Morey. My hair is very thick (Persian hair) wavy, type 2b/2c, low porosity. I don’t color my hair, I have my natural black hair for years on, I cut my hair every 6 months but I usually let my hair air dry or use a straightener every now and then because I like my hair straight then wavy. However last summer I got introduced to aveda and now I want to were my hair more wavy and skip the straightener. My question is which product is the best for my hair? I have tried be curly line, the sap moss line and now damage remedy. But I’m confused on which is the best for my hair. I see improvement for sure but I have no knowledge of what my hair needs. I live in Sweden and we don’t have a Aveda salon or any hair dressers that work with Aveda products. Not even curly/wavy salons. Can you help? 🤗
