I know a couple of people that got rid of their trucks and started doing Uber and they said they both said they are making so much money now and they write their own schedules and home every night. They said they would never get back in a truck and that was truly their passion! Y'all know it's getting bad when fast food workers are starting to make more money than the folk's that keeps America going!

Hey Jason. I dropped my MC and Leased on with Tucker out Dubuque IA. 280 drivers regional DryVan. Taking home about 3-4k a week after fuel. Before taxes. running about 1800 to 2500 miles a week. Havn't seen your in a while. Averaging $2.45 a mi. and I don't have to argue with brokers. Priceless.

The railroads have implemented “precision scheduled railroading” and laid off 30% of their staff. They are running longer trains with fewer crews which is why crossings stay blocked for extended periods of time. Good luck to you Justin and I hope the spot market gets better for you. 👍

Great video Justin, you are great with people, I would be honored to ride around with you all day even if i had to pay you! You also would make an excellemt tour guide/ambassador for your community as you have great pride and knowledge of the Greeville area,and you seem a little more relaxed in doing ubet than you are in trucking as you are not dealing with rude shippers,receivers,lumpers and steering wheel holders and everything else involved in trucking, thats just my observation! TIP: If you use the set destination feature, make sure the filtering is turned ON so you get requests actually heading in that direction. Otherwise it will still send you random trips away from where you want to go. It worked smoother before, now you have to finagle it.... ;-)

@@TarHeels4Ever no not until I find out more information. I was told your vehicle couldn't be over 5 years old. I am trying to get a hold of Uber now. I am in the final stage if cirrhosis and severe chronic pancreatitis, so if I have to have any type of physical that would ruin my chances anyhow. I just can't stand staying here at the house. I am not sure because I have never been in jail but I am almost certain it feels the same as this place.

Have you thought about selling your fun vehicles which are liabilities for some assets such as rental homes? It would lead to a new career that wouldn't require you to be away from your family so much and actually would be more profitable with loads of tax deductions. Grainger sells mostly industrial items ie. (motors, pumps, PPE, some tools, welding products etc.) Companies similar are Fastenal, McMaster Carr, U Line. Some Graingers have a small retail area where you can buy tools, paint, ppe, small hardware supplies...

Have you considered an RGN trailer? A lot of companies have heavy equipment they need moved but not frequently enough to justify the expense of owning a tractor/trailer combo. Some big construction companies will sub out due to volume once a job is finished even if they run trucks in-house. The nice thing is heavy equipment it's often not moved far so one day or even 1/2 day jobs and you can get back home to family.. Or you could grab heavy equipment/transformers etc out of the ports if there's one near you and use it as flatbed too.. Sell some toys (looking at you hellcat) and throw that money into another trailer that would open you up to an entire different side of trucking. Just a thought.

I used WW Grainger as a vendor. Unless you're a big company, little discount...usually higher than anyone around but they usually charge high dollar at the counter. Could have bought your capacitor there.

I like these Uber ride along's better than the trucking. Nice break from the rude, me first attitudes of truckers these days. BTW...I found you over a year ago when my tilt steering wheel cable broke on my Volvo. I googled how to fix it and your video came up. This is always the slow time of the year for most businesses. the slow time of the new year now you're seeing. many things starting to cut back here in MN Amazon is closing their biggest warehouse potential 600 to 700 cut jobs, but prices are still keep going up.

@@randylee2549 it is the place where the plant maint department buys the random motors, blowers, fastener, parts, and cleaners. because they are pre approved to buy x dollars at a time instead of setting an account with the cheaper places on the interweb. It is popular with farmers because they destroy a lot of stuff with rare use and have immediate ship today needs.

Saw one load going from Hartwell to Dacula. Thought it was Dracula🤣🤣🤣. Nice to see someone who works on aircraft. When we came over to Atlanta, at Manchester (UK) airport, our aircraft was being pushed back, then it stopped and was brought back in. Apparently, a washer needed changing in the engine as it was sticking. Can't believe that would be flagged up to be noticed. But glad it was. The repair was only about 10 minutes, didn't even have to leave the plane. When we landed in San Francisco, we took a walk down to Fisherman's Wharf thinking to visit one of the fish restaurants and ended up in Johnny Rockets. It was like stepping into a set of Happy Days🤣. It was absolutely brilliant

I like the one for 42 cents a mile .if you get 8 mpg and fuel was $4 a gal it cost .50 a mile in fuel? Your paying them to move their freight.

Hey im a uber driver as well so when you get far like that you click that search bar and type your home address or any address and turn on destination filter and it'll give you rides heading to wherever is set

If it's how it used to be, it will let you keep driving outside of your area (within your state) as long as you don't go offline. So you can take a ride heading outside your area, and keep accepting rides, but if you go offline or if you started out of area, it wouldn't let you go online.

Think part of your problem with loads is a lot more new trucker are being trained. I work a college system and we started 3 colleges across the state. Each college can train 60 student per semester.

Thank God out of the 120+ brokers I’m with I have 6 or 7 that have kept me busy and paying me well. I guess all the years of reliability I have given is paying off. Yeah flatbedding for the past 26 years has beat my body up, but it’s made me pretty wealthy. 6 loads a month and only away from home 6 to 9 days. Go SC Flatbedders. Stay safe out there y’all !!! ✌

I did a calculation on one of the loads you scrolled through. Mill spring NC to Fremont, IN. 635 miles for $1050. Gas alone would be $450. one way. What are they thinking?

The shipping containers cost on the ships have gone way down now so do not know why these shipping companies being so darn cheap. It seems you will do better with uber making more money close to home and more time with family.
