Also, the pedophilia jokes write themselves. Think about how funny it would be if Baby Huey walked into a To Catch a Predator sting and Chris Hansen was already talking to Cool Cat. Funny-ass story involving Baby Huey. My dad back in 79' in college did a thing with his friends where they went to an old-school burlesque show at this local strip club and saw they needed extras for the pre-show while drunkenly thinking they could do better than the regulars (plus needed gas money). This was the first time my dad ever got drunk and he was down to his underwear and blue t-shirt, so they had him come out (this was according to his friends after the fact) in a wheelbarrow as a drunk Baby Huey with a pair of panties on his head for the bonnet and drinking bottled beer instead of milk. The fact he was a crybaby drunk and wanting to go home while having shat his pants was what completed the show, with them giving him an actual hot dog like the character to cheer him up to the delight of the crowd awaiting naked ladies after. Then they gave him a joint and the next thing he actually remembered (they had to tell him the other stuff the next day) was waking up nearly 40 miles away naked in the back of his El Camino in the parking lot of a Dairy Queen "Brazier" outside Houston (this was when Dairy Queen was mostly a Texas thing, like Whataburger). He didn't remember a thing until EVERYONE remembered everything for him once he drove back naked and had to take a shower in his sister's house and borrow her fiance's clothes since his buddies were there and crashed on him in the shower. I only know this story since it came back to haunt him and amuse me when his old friends shared the shower pics and Baby Huey ones they took on their brand new Polaroid at the time while telling the tale. XD

Gotta hand it to them. They took a cartoon about a morbidly obese baby duck bumbling his way out of getting killed and eaten by a fox and somehow turned it into a Barney knockoff that no one wanted.

One plus one is? 3! 2. FUCK!!! I laughed hard at that more than I should have.

Awww - Stephen Furst is a really nice guy. :) Met him on a Babylon 5 convention in Cologne, Germany - we were sitting at the hotel bar in the evening and he joined us - even though he can't drink alcohol, because of diabetes. We chatted about everything and nothing and he even laughed about my "No beeeerrrrrrrr for Veeerrrrrrr"-joke. ^^

I've owned this movie on VHS for about a decade. It's bad in all the right ways and I'm mildly obsessed with it. I actually wrote the IMDB trivia bits for it, copied below for your convenience. 1) Baby Huey is technically part of same comic brand "universe" as the Casper the Friendly Ghost trilogy Two of the supporting characters, Little Audrey and Lotta, are loosely based on characters from Harvey Comics who published Baby Huey in comic book format during the late 50's and beyond. They compromise part of Harvey's "little girl" quartet of comedy comics: Little Audrey, Little Lotta, Little Dot and Wendy the Good Little Witch. 2) The Babylon 5 Connection Peter Jurasik and Stephen Furst have cameos as rival little league baseball coaches in one of the first scenes in this film. In the science fiction series Babylon 5 they had long running roles as alien ambassador Londo Molari and his diplomatic attaché Vir Cotto.

I don't know about anyone else, but I get the most laughs from the Snob having to watch kid's movies! He's fantastic normally, but there is something so magnificent about him screaming and cussing about kid's media!

I was at Fan Expo Canada yesterday and I met Rodger Bumpass. When I asked him about Baby Huey’s Great Easter Adventure, he surprisingly remembered it and I brought up the Cinema Snob’s review of it.

My inner child is sobbing hysterically and the rest of my brain is terrified beyond all capacity for rational thought at the sight of that suit. I can only hope the poor guy in the suit got paid well.

The girl "Audrey" in this movie who is the ONE GOOD singer in this movie is also one of the famous Harvey comic characters, "Little Audrey". She's an obvious fan shout out to the parents who got suckered into watching this crap who read the comics when they were younger. The character in the movie, of course bears no resemblance to the comic character aside from the pig tails.

I think the story should have been like this : The kid had an average day at school, but looks a bit happier than usual. He brings back a permission slip to the farm, and goes the next week. When he goes there, he finds a cluster of ducks next to...Huey! Then the other part of the movie starts.

"Sounds like a nightmare to me!" Okay I love how that kid delivered the line.

Now who was surprised, given that Brad talked about watching it with Laura in the God's Not Dead 3 midnight screenings? To be fair, I still thought it was going to be an April Fool's video. Still holding out on that Jesus, Bro! review.

I'm pretty sure Baby Huey wasn't born with those clothes on, because in the previous scene the kid said to his mother, "I guess he needs some clothes, huh?" so I assume that the mother put the clothes on him. Huh, what a coincidence. I was just watching some episodes of The Baby Huey Show today. They came from the same studio that worked on the 1st and 2nd seasons of Ren and Stimpy. While the cartoons aren't on the same level of R&S they definitely have a lot of that show's influence and style in the animation (highly detailed close up shots, expressive animation). The show can be pretty funny at times and I would even go as far as to say the show is better than the original shorts made at Famous Studios. You could make a Baby Huey film work if it was less THIS and more of a, you know, CARTOON. Heck, I read Steven Spielberg was gonna produce an animated Baby Huey film in the 80's but the project never got off the ground. Nowadays, if they wanted to actually make a movie that was more like the 90's show and the original cartoons then they should probably go for something in the vein of Hotel Transylvania or Captain Underpants where it's essentially a cartoon stretched out to an hour long feature.

And now I have to accept in my memory that something like this exists.

Howard the Duck was more obese as a child than i thought he would be. Its fun being introduced to these lesser known children characters as a european. Even if it is scary as in this case.
