Rondo is a musical form of a repeating chorus where each verse is given a different musical treatment. The song is about a repeating nightmare of being pursued by an unseen demon. In the quiet verse she resigns to her fate but bravely asks the demon to show its form. The chorus is also in 3 with an emphasis on the downbeat. A heavy metal waltz. But the rhythms in the back are quite complex even according to Takayoshi san (with gold guitar here) in one of his teaching videos.

⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 Missed seeing you guys at the BAND-MAID shows, hope I run into you for BABYMETAL at the Forum. Rondo Of Nightmare. Not bad for a 16 year old kid. : ) Su has a unique penetrating clarity to her voice that makes it perfect for metal. Without having to boost her volume she can still be heard through the drums, bass and guitars. Rondo is easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs. Su performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. That Black Night Budokan concert from March, 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL shows of all time.

Big Z looked mesmerized right from the start, and I still am after dozens of times watching this. This song is a bit of a departure from their usual uplifting messages, since it's about a person being trapped in an endless nightmare. I'm fascinated by how well the music manages to support the dark yet beautiful atmosphere these lyrics require. Even without knowing about them, you feel that there's something sinister going on. I'm a bit envious that you are going to see them this week at such a huge venue. I'll have to wait until February for a much smaller show. I'm sure you'll have a great time, and I hope you'll give a proper report afterwards. Have you checked out "Pa Pa Ya" or "Shanti, shanti, shanti" from the new album, yet? They are certainly going to play those on Friday, so you should prepare. :-) I think I remember you talking about having watched "Pa Pa Ya", but not doing a reaction. I seen them in July and can not wait untill i see them in February 2020. Four dates in the UK all within 250 miles i live in middle of the country so good chance i will book some more shows. Su has such a stage presence even at a young age she is amazing. They have a habit of looking stright at you and theres no mistaking it if they look at you and get a smile from them it will make your night . Surrgest you watch No Rain No Rainbow at legend S. Su's 20th Birthday show in her home town of Hiroshima . A truly great performance by Su and Mikio's last performance before his tragic accident and the first show Yui missed and never returned due to illness/injury . One thing that hardly anyone notices about this song. When the song cuts out and it's just su singing and it sounds like there's some sort of effect there? That ain't no fake effect. She actually pushes the mic up against her nose to achieve that nasally sound, she does this so she doesn't have to alter her voice and can keep that same level going. Absolutely insane for someone so young to be able to do something like this. She's an absolute master at her craft and it's a Shane this technique is never picked up on
