Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this Bakies The Sims 4 Custom Content Series, I will show you everything I made for the Sims 4.
I will show you where to find it in game and give some tips and tricks on how to use them.
- Animated - Small Waterfall -
My second animated waterfall! This time a lot smaller so better useable on small lots too and in more different ways.
There're two version, one for on terrain only and one for both on terrain as on the water surface.
The terrain only version also has multiple interactions attached to it.

This totally rocks! I'm putting these things everywhere! No sarcasm. All my sims have the lowest level basement floor with fishing, ponds, rivers and now waterfalls. THIS IS FREAKN AWESOME MAN! Btw, if you place when on lot of sim household while sim is home in the middle anywhere not where you want, then hit play for a second, then it will animate and when you switch back to build mode it is still visible and moveable. So you can see what it will look like while lining it up. This is now my fav object awesome job.

Thanks, happy to read you like it that much. Have you also seen my Animated Wall light waterfall? Maybe that one go's very well with your ponds too, you can attach it to short walls for example and also works with the live mode to build mode trick. ;) (Wall Light Waterfall: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7J5fK-lvby4n3U.html) And I have a huge waterfall, but maybe only usable for in parks: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mr11nKxn3banimg.html For your rivers, you might like my Animated stream to place behind some rocks: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mq6Glsqj0ry7p4k.html I probably have more suitable content for you, but I don't know what you already have in game. ;)

This is AMAZING! I love it! Thank you so much! I will have to find a use for both versions. Do you have any waterfall items that have a little bit of horizontal run before they go down vertically to look like a waterfall flowing from a river? Similar to water emitters but not going upward. What I really want to do is to have a pool down low with another pool directly next to it but above ground and have a water wheel. I want the waterfall to pour down on the waterwheel. Someone did something like that in a build but didn't have instructions on how to do it or with what water emitters they used.

Funny you're talking about needing a waterwheel when I'm busy making a pack of multiple waterwheels... :) It's far from finished though, so a bit of patience is needed. In the meantime, you can use the debug animated rotating waterwheels that don't have any water vfx attached to them by using the cheatcode “bb.showhiddenobjects" and then set packs to Cottage Living as they came with that EP. As for horizontal running water, I only have my Animated Stream object right now: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mq6Glsqj0ry7p4k.html I will probably make some more waterfall-ish objects in the future. ;)

You'll never cease to disappoint me 😉💖 Also since Snowy Escape has come out, is it possible to rip the animated train from the game and make it an animated object? I would love it to see it done 😍

I haven't looked at the animations from the new EP yet. I did saw that the train itself, but then non-animated, can be found in the debug menu. I want to make some sort of train-pack some time, but my list of things-to-do keeps getting longer and longer. I think we should vote for longer days around the globe with more time in them 😜

🚨IMPORTANT INFO 🚨, These objects can now be found in the Pond VFX section in build mode and are placeable on ponds too. The Terrain-Only version, can also be placed on Ponds and Oceans as Sims will still be able to interact wit the object when it's placed on shallow waters. I've also added invisible search tags, this way the item can now also be found by typing Bakie, Small, Water, Waterfall, Falls or Cascade into the search bar.

Bakies, I am coming to you, the miracle worker! I've been looking for some alternate bathing items for my sims; ponds, hotsprings, in ground tubs and the like. The closest I could find is ohmysims functional in-ground hot tub, which is not enabled for bathing, and idk if it can be placed on platforms. If you have the time or desire, I think it would be really cool to have something like that enabled for bathing,. Just, historical/natural style baths functional off-grid. Or maybe an invisible object/plant which can be placed in pools/other bodies of water that enables bathing in that area, similar to the waterfalls...? If you're too busy or don't have an interest in something like this I totally understand, but I'm still hoping haha. Have a nice day!

Hello, have you also looked at Snowy Escape's hot springs? They already look quite natural. I'm not sure if it's possible to add an interaction like that to a pool or pond as most of the time these interactions include taking stairs to go in. I did thought once about making the hot spring invisible so you can add your own rocks and plants around it, but I'm not sure if that's what you ment with a bathing option? Now with the new Cottage Living EP, I probably will be spending the upcoming time to fixing older mods and making new ones related to the new EP. But who knows, maybe I will make something like what you ment eventually. ;)

@@bakiegaming I’m mostly looking into something that will actually affect my sims cleanliness, which so far as I’m aware the hot springs don’t do (rather the other way around, since you bathe before entering the spring to not get it dirty). Generally it’s just the idea of a washing animation (shower or bath) combined with the sim becoming clean, just associated with other objects. If that makes sense? Again, no worries, I’m looking forward to the other projects you’re working on.:)

You're welcome! This waterfall doesn't include the Woohoo interaction as it's too small for that. ;)

Wow! Your custom content is amazing! I found your animated wallpaper tutorial the other day and I was wondering if it's possible to create animated pictures as well. I couldn't find any tutorials about it. I wanted to take of of those game billboards and make a animated one. Like, the pictures would change. Add maybe 3 different pictures in a billboard. It's so difficult to find tutorials. Since I'm beginner, I'm very lost hah Anyway, thanks for your content. Good job! :)

Thanks Dani! If there's another object in game that switches textures, it should be possible. I'm not sure about that though. Maybe something from the City Living Expansion pack...? It can't be done in the same way as with the animated wallpapers, that's for sure..

AIRC, Spooky Stuff has a purchasable painting that changes appearance from time to time You probably can't put an animated texture for the painting, but it be possible to clone this painting and put other textures as a replacement.

I've took a look at this painting recently, but it works with a vissual effects (VFX). Which can't be created yet, or at least not that easy as I tried to do it, but failed. 😅

@@BWorthTownFM Yes I have, but so far I only succeeded once in making a recolor of something. I've spend several hours a few weeks back on testing things, but it made me incredibly frustrated back then 😁 I won't give up on it though!

Would it be possible to do an invisible wallpaper? With the new update and the possibility of using platforms in complex structures, it would be awesome to erase the platform sides to see true them and only keep the platform itself! I'm trying to build a tree house on different levels, and because of the mandatory walls, it blocks me a lot of creative possibilities. Your mods are really usefull! Thank you!

Thanks Marie! About the invisible wallpaper, I don't think it's possible as there's always the mesh from the wall of the platform underneath it. As for your problem with the different levels, maybe you can try to lower your rooms into the ground to create different heights and after that delete the walls and only keep the ceilings/floors. You can add stairs in between those I think without any problems. (Though I'm not sure, but it's worth a try) ;)

Wanneer ik deze waterval plaats krijg ik in live modus alleen druppels op de grond zien, de waterval zelf is helaas niet zichtbaar. Enig idee waar dit aan kan liggen? Ik heb wel de Island Living EP.

Hey Deffgy, het enige wat ik kan bedenken nu is dat of je game niet up-to-date is en dus de code van de waterval niet herkent of het ligt aan je instellingen. De grafische instellingen moeten minimaal op medium staan voor de meeste effecten. Ik heb tot nu toe deze melding nog niet van andere gehad... Het effect zelf komt van de Star Wars Game pack, maar aangezien dit soort codes via patches worden toegevoegd, zou dit geen probleem moeten geven bij een up-to-date versie van het spel.

Het zou inderdaad kunnen liggen aan het feit dat mijn game niet up-to-date is. Ik moet namelijk de legacy edition spelen en heb de laatste toevoegingen met de update ook niet gekregen. Helaas! Toch bedankt👍🏻

You can make a wish, but I can't make it come true unfortunately. ;) All animals and other visual effects I make placeable in game are already some where to be found in the Sims worlds. (Although I did made this waterfall by combining multiple different effects) But as long as EA/Maxis doesn't add bunnies to their worlds, I can't make them placeable for the community. So let's hope they eventually add them in a farming Expansion. ;)

In what way? As it doesn't show the waterfall itself after going into live mode? And your game is fully up-to-date?

I've just tested my game with only Base Game enabled and they were still showing and working in my game. But... With your "litterally download it" you ment downloading The Sims 4 or my mods? If it's the first, then be sure to go to your Option menu > Game Options > Other and in there, check the boxes in front of "Enable Custom Content and Mods". For other mods by other people, checking the "Script Mods Allowed" checkbox is recommended too, but you don't need it for my mods. ;)
