Level 6 Draconic Sorcerer | Level 2 Warlock | Level 4 Thief
Feats: Dual Wielding | Spell Sniper (+1 Critical)
I was very nervous that I would make a mistake and lose my honor save, but thanks to my extensive preparation, I was able to overcome Raphael on "Solo Honor Mode!" I spent a lot of time researching ways to counter his legendary Beguiling Rebuke. Displayed in this video, you can stop Raphael from using his legendary move on you by using Hold Monster, Stun, or Prone/Frightened combo.
Using "Steeped in Bliss" from the Resonance Stone to greatly boost my damage was my plan for this fight. This allowed me to swiftly eliminate Raphael's minions. A single hit from Raphael or his minions could cost me the run, as each of his minions and Yugir's legendary action hits like a truck.

That was very good prep work, mate! I only have 1 note: when you hold monster someone, you can fly *close enough* to them (but not trigger the Threaten status) and every attack roll you do would be an auto crit.

Yes, I did indeed miss this, 😂. To be honest, seeing it again left me feeling disappointed; I wish I could go back and do it again. During this time, everything was mental, and I was too preoccupied with potential outcomes, and forgot about the 3 Meter 100% Critical from hold monster/person. 😅

Jeez, I completely forgot about the 100% Critical within 3 meter! I just realized that after viewing this video again😓. It could have been much cleaner... I think my brain just reacted to "play safe" Kite etc. There were too many things going on at once in my brain at this point during my recording😆. Next playthrough, for sure I'll remember this, thanks! :)

Thank you!! Excellent idea; I've seen that a couple commentary vids have been very popular. I'm thinking of expanding my content and include guides, honor-related commentaries and future streaming (with commentary), I'm considering getting a new microphone and updating my computer, for this. Though, perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself 😅. Since I only started a month ago, I did not anticipate my videos receiving as many views and attention as they have.

Elixir of Battle Mage grants arcane acuity for 3 turns, replacing this status with another elixir doesn't remove the arcane acuity buff. 😃

Very nice! Im sure u aware of this, but in case u are not - U can go melee range to a paralized enemy and get 100 hit chance + crit chance on them with any type of attack. (spell attack, ranged weapon attack, melee weapon attack) Not that it would change anything of course, cause a dead devil cant be more dead than he already is after what you have done to him.

Clean fight. Surprised you didnt wet them and twin chain lightning. Would have wiped 8 cambions in a single cast and like someone else said about crit and hold monster already. Too bad you cant do it again on HM lol

Haha, true. Chain Lightning would have killed these cambions instantly, similar to what I did with Viconia Devir. It's too bad Raphael is resistant to lightning, and during this time I didn't have the staff of Raid equipped.

With the dip into rogue, what was for the extra attack? I'm working on my first sorlock build but don't know what rounds it out better. Great video btw! I still haven't faced Raphael haha

four levels of thief gets you an extra bonus action and a feat. you sacrifice some spell progression but since you can cast high level spells from scrolls it doesn’t really matter and I’m assuming OP knows the ways to generate a lot of sorcery points without using high level spell slots. the extra bonus action is good because it means you can EB one more time per turn with quickened spell. You’re probably better off sticking to sorcerer/warlock until you hit level 12 and then reassigning the levels because sneak attack and cunning action are basically useless for the build and there’s no reason to take on dead weight until you can get the real benefit of the rogue levels.

@InvaderTroy I'm actually struggling with sorcery points because they use of all my spell slots, so I rely on scrolls. I do love twin spelling, but that only lasts me 2-3 turns max. But thank you so much for the helpful advice!!

Invader Troy explained it well. The amazing thing about the quickened spell in addition to subclass to thief is that you gain "fast hands," which is essentially three actions at a cost of 6 sorcery points. I gain more actions with the potion of speed and the elixir of bloodlust. An alternate version of this build would be to go 4 sorcerer (dual wielding feat) 2 warlock, 3 rogue/thief), 3 fighter/champion for action surge and more Critical. It's just a matter of preference and your playstyle, this class is versatile in that sense. :)

@@amandapearson8922 Making sorcery points is quite simple, especially when using Angelic Reprieve. This item is sold by Lucretious, the necromancer, in Act 3. You can farm this item by taking partial rests until you obtain the required quantity. Partial rests or a member leveling up resets all of the vendors stocks. Convert all of your level 1/2 spell slots to sorcery points, angelic reprieve, and repeat to efficiently gain sorcery points. :) My Ansur Video covers this, if you're interested in checking that out!

@Kukutiel40411 I am SOOO thankful for this tip! My first character is a tiefling sorcerer and I've had to play around with other builds that felt easier to work with (ranger/rogue especially!!). I will definitely watch that!

How did you retain invisibility after clicking on the exit? It knocked my character out of invisibility

That's interesting, I never encountered this issue even on my previous playthroughs. Do you use concentration invisibility or invisibility potion? I just drink the potion of invisibility as the last thing I do before interacting with the portal.
