Balloon Kisses, but not a lot of love. Acrylic Pouring Balloon Smash

Not gonna lie, I do not love this balloon smash acrylic pouring technique. But, I wanted to participate in the FLUID ARTIST COLLECTIVE group collaboration this month, so I decided to try Balloon Kisses on a bright neon acrylic pour painting. There is a lot that goes wrong with this pour painting... I smashed down two hours worth of video into five minutes to provide you with a brief (and hopefully entertaining) overview. Probably won't be another balloon smash painting on my channel, but let me know what you think! Do you like this kind of technique in acrylic pouring? Should I try again on a different pour painting?

Acrylic Paint Pouring Recipe:
3 parts paint
1 part pouring medium (1/2 Liquitex pouring medium, 1/2 GAC 800)
About 1.5 parts thinning solution (1/4 pouring medium, 3/4 water) - this varied, I thin to the correct consistency.

I think it turned out awesome, I love michelle's pieces too. This piece reminds me of the golden afternoon from the Disney movie alice and Wonderland. I love that scene all the flowers are so pretty 💐🌸💮🏵🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘

I must say I don’t like to swipe. Don’t know why, but it’s not my thing. Smashing with a 🎈 I haven’t done yet, i must say this looks good Jenny. I think you should make this technique more yours. Have fun and thanks for the lovely vid. ✨❤️

I wish I could do balloon work like that. My first balloon smash was beautiful. Ever since, then, not so much! This is a gorgeous painting!

Thank you Carrie! I was POSITIVE it was going to need to be scraped!! It ended up working out though :-) I think that having the paint thicker and partially dry helps... next time I won't do a swipe first! LOL

Paint was too thick chica.... no worries. It happend to me 4EVA until the chameleon cells. I still think the color choices are amazing❤

hi LH! I am so sorry for being absent. I have bipolar disorder, and I have been in a major depression for a couple of months... have not had the energy to paint or film. I am feeling way better though!!! I hope to have a video completed this week!!! It is so kind of you to check in and leave the kind words. I really appreciate your support!!

Hey dear Diane - You are SO sweet!! I have been sick with major depression, but I am feeling better!! This is part and parcel of bipolar disorder, which makes being a good youtuber pretty impossible for me. I am going to talk a bit about it in my next video. It is so very kind of you to check in and hang with me all these years.

So happy you replied ❣️ I have times of depression also even though I take medication for it. Not fun!!! It’s hard to find people that truly understand & that makes these “times” even harder. I ‘m just delighted to know you’re still here. No pressure, no worries....when you feel like painting again, I’ll absolutely be here.
