Yes the p1 can print faster i reran the test again after this seperately to see how fast i could push it and it goes quicker than the plastic is able to keep up with (had the rocket down to about 6 mins but it looked shit) point of the test i suppose was to see how it compared bed slinger vs core xy using same speeds etc the max speeds on both machines are the same but also higher than what your average user will enable via a stock profile for generic pla etc

@@Kenprints max travel speed is the same, but accel is twice as fast on the p1. Accel speed arguably has a much greater influence on print speed than travel speed. This is also where core xy defeats bed slingers in speed. Try to speed the a1 up to what the p1s is comfortable with. Results will be very different.

Currently running volumetric tests on the A1 to see how that affects print speed and quality as the generic pla profile has a very low volumetric rate and I think that's one of the biggest things new users need to account for

dont over think it p1s is pretty quiet to be fair id go for p1s over the a1 if i had the money for it and felt i would need an enclosed printer for printing abs etc and the p1s over the x1c unless money was no object as i dont really see any need for the lidar unless for spagetti detection- the 3 p1s printers im running have been pretty much flawless apart from failed extruder gears but all have been upgraded now and no issues since the choice is yours but the extra money in the difference between p1s with ams vs x1c and ams means you could have 2 ams units with your p1s ?

The A1 is going to suit 60% of peoples needs its only when you get to printing plastics that require better cooling or an enclosure that the P1S comes into its own

If all you want to print is PLA the A1 won’t disappoint you, but my P1S has been great.

@3vlogs487 if the A1 was a first printer or you are coming from something like an ender 3 etc then the A1 is a no brainer it will blow your mind i guess its a bit like someone having an old mobile phone and it did most of what you wanted and then you moved to apple or android device and had so much more functionality over what you had previously but you could have bought the flagship model instead - does almost exact same stuff only slightly better but more expensive for what you get

@3vlogs487 i went from ender 5 pro to ender 3 s1 pros x 2 to having a p1p then another p1p then i added enclosures to both and changed to p1s and added 2 ams units 1 per machine then i picked up another p1s and the A1 i got for free from bambu by uploading models to their website

2 of my p1s models were p1ps and i installed the official enclosures
