Seeing Chris Adler here makes me miss him even more in LOG

I really liked how Chris' second piece felt very composed. he wasn't just playing a sick solo with blastbeats (which Dherryck did majestically) but he was composing a piece for drum. and it worked so well. I liked his stuff a bit more but i totally get why, for a metal competition, this had to go to Dherryck. but boy, watching chris work his way back to that central rhythm again and again, that was neeeaatt. he would have had my vote.

Dherryk only stopped short of lighting his kit on fire.

Chris plays and I think, "It's over". Then Dherryk comes in and kills it! This competition has been crazy so far.

This was a tough one to decide. Dherryk's execution was slightly better and then if we add the speed, power and accuracy that he has, it is no wonder he won this round, however it feels like he played it "safer" than Chris. Chris tried more complex and creative stuff, more technical as well, but the execution was not on point (don't get me wrong it was sick, but we hear some mistakes here and there when he hits the rims for instance), the cross fill with the floor tom and the open hi-hat was impressive. He took more risks, but it led him to make a couple of mistakes. Really impressive round 2 and the level was far higher than the first one. Can't wait for round 3 tomorrow!

can we please get Season 4: Bassists, Season 5: Vocalists and finally Season 6: Battle of the Bands!

Dherrick is a power house! Couldn't find a band with him, if someone knows any record with him please share!

I would’ve gone with Chris. His improvised drum solo sounded like a well thought out song.

Day 1 was impressive, but these two were next level good. Kind of a shame they got matched head to head in round 1, they both have the talent to win the whole thing.

I 100% agree with what each of the judges said, which is rare for me. Again, Chris' style is more in tune with my tastes, and his frequent tempo change on the kicks in round 2 was amazing! But Derrick's raw speed, technical ability, and precision were off the charts in both rounds. Even though his style is not what I generally prefer, I too would pick him as the winner.

Might be the best round of shredders in all the series so far, excellent.

Seeing this level of playing makes me excited for the rest of the drummers in the season

Wow. I stepped out of the drumming world for a few years, thinking I could step right back in. Absolutely no chance after seeing this.

I am LOVING the drum edition so far, IMO all the rounds have been close, great stuff!

Chris lost but he got complimented by one of the greatest drummers ever. Honestly he won just for that, regardless of his sick playing.

Wow, kind of a shame like having the final in round one! Chris particularly impressed me in his second set, Dherryk is insane though!!

So far these two are the best out of the 6 so far this season. Chris just had sooo much groove. Unfortunately they had to be against each other.

I saw Chris playing whit Skull Fist here in my town in Brazil and the guy it's really great! That was an awesome battle, two amazing drummers!

Holy hell. I've never heard that many quads in my life ;) Both Chris and Dherrick rule and their styles were refreshingly different from each other. Too bad they had to square off against each other. With Dherrick, I knew what I was getting - the fury of the gods at breakneck speed...and I love that. I chose Chris for the win. Chris played a bit outside the norm and that's what I am hungry to see/hear this season. I didn't know what he would come up with next but I knew I wanted more.

This season has been tough! I can't seem to choose favorites. Both of these guys are BEASTS!

As a guitar player, I am enjoying season 3 so much more than the first 2. I think that the caliber of musicianship is just next level this season.

WOW!! That was a tough call! They both were amazing.

Not to be rude, but god damn the quality of all of these drummers so far has significantly surpassed many of the other guitarists from season one and two. They are all MAD sick. So much to the point to where it’s sad to make a choice!

Talent level in S3 is mindblowing. You'd have no argument from me if any combination of the 4 drummers so far made it to the next round. The precision and speed of Dherryk was undeniable but I just felt Chris' groove and creativity more. GJ fellas!

That was TOUGH! I agree with Sam though that Dherryk was just a little tighter. He sounded more fluid to me overall and that's only made better by how fast he could go and keep the fluidity. Chris was definitely innovative, I could hear the progressive elements coming through. Loved this round.

Saw Chris once with Skull Fist and... what a drummer! The songs got better live especially bc of his drumming style and sound. Chris is really one of a kind, a unique drummer. This was too hard to choose. I don’t think I would have been able to pick one. I love both styles of playing. One was more fierce and one was more innovative. I wish the guitar version of this competition was more like this one! These guys are so accurate!

This should be such a tough call, both are very good & professional - they're so different. Dherryk's a powerhouse, that double bass drum wowwww; Chris is technical, you could hear the influence of the different genres

Dherryk's pair of legs looked like they are made out of a Titanium-based Nokia 3310. While Chris looked like he have more than 2 arms (similar to Goro in Mortal Kombat) hammering just around everywhere. But anyway, great showmanship from both musicians.

It would be nice to see more challenges, especially elements of writing or interpreting parts like in the guitar version of the show. It would be nice to see more from the drummers. Imo

This is awesome. Wish these two would haven't had to face off. Both of these drummers seemed to outmatch the first video's drummers by great lengths. Would have been great to see these drummers square off in a further round. Still awesome video as always.

Incredibly difficult to decide between these two beats -- almost impossible! So very apples-v-oranges here, but ultimately I'd have chosen Chris due to the innovative, complex, and incredibly unconventional things he was doing - and with such precision! Adler and I agree once again, and our choice loses once again. Could this be a theme? On to Round 3!

If fastest is best, then good choice, but I like thought out licks, on the tubbs a little more, like Chris delivered. Friggan rights Metal Sonn! 🤘😲🤘
