In this video we look at my goldfish tanks and my barb tanks.
A lot of changes have been made and there is a lot more coming.
We tour some of my beautiful Barb and my Shubunkin Goldfish tanks. There have been so many changes and I had to say goodbye to some fish to make room for more..... I hope

Lol... Yup but soon it will be mainly koi and some shubunkin with the odd Barb video. I sure appreciate your comments and support. How did the freezing work on your koi or em I just going to have to wait like everyone else. Looking good Chris, both the aquatic plants and the RIPARIUM plants. Have you noticed any difference when having the sponge in the plant holder?

Thanks Gill. I have added more sponges and got a few more cuttings. As far as it acting like a filter it seems to be drawing in debris .. I actually just attempted my first parlor palm in one of those holders today... I am hoping I don't kill it.

When I do parlour palms (and most other houseplants), I wash the dirt off the roots and place the plant in a jar of water. The brown dirt roots will rot away, and when the white water roots appear it is time to put in your tank.

Really enjoyed the tour! Glad you were able to keep one of the white shubunkins. The fish at 4:27 are BEAUTIES! The hi utsuri Koi really pops in your pond. Love the barb city tank. Have you heard of Platinum Green tigers? I just saw some of those over the weekend for the first time. Still keeping my fingers crossed for you on breeding the arulius barbs! Your tanks look awesome 🙂👍

The barbs look good, I used to have a tank just full of odessa barbs. I went off barbs in general due to not being able to keep anything slow or with finnage with them.

Your videos of really interesting. I like the way you speak and show your fish. It's easy for me to understand why you breed so many fish. Your dedication is pretty bracing. We have two Shaban can goldfish that live in the 66 gallon tank at the moment and we build a 400gallon high pond in the backyard. I dont really know how big they can grow. How big is your biggest Shubunkin? And how old? I would love to see a video about your most grown Shubunkin 🌸

Thanks so much for watching and commenting on my channel. I too love shubunkin goldfish. They can grow up to about 12 inches plus length of fins. My biggest is about 10-11 inches. They live up to 12 years... Common goldfish live longer I plan on doing a more up to date video very soon. In fact I am picking up new brood stock today to add to my existing line. Hopefully you will like them. I would be interested to see the pond you build and your fish Stay tuned and thanks again for your kindness

Love your plants. I have 1 Female Shubinkin and 3 males i didn't know i had a female and one day i saw them chasing her and luckily i had another 3 gallon tank. My question is at what age do they stop spawning? I oly had her about a year and half.

Goldfish live between 10-15 years . So it really depends on the fish.. Some of my females stopped producing eggs around 8 but others continued. Most males will keep trying to breed. I hope that helps

Hi Magnus. I actually don't. I have never been one to take readings .. even when we had a hot tub and above ground pool after I got into routines

@@stubbsaquatics6080 I thought so mate. Please make some tests for me. It looks to me like the barb tanks need aditional nitrate, not nitrate removal. BTW, I started an aquarium this week. My first for 10 years or so.🙂👍

I probably only have 150 right now.. culled a lot... I plan on breeding 4-6 females... Each female will have two boys ... Hmm a lot lol
