One of the true greats. Would last a lifetime even now.

Equivalent to an ATA or a Yildiz in the 80s?? Don't think so. Those Olin corp. Japanese Winchesters were quality guns to rival any of the other top manufacturers at the time. I learned to shoot on a 1981 101xtr superlight. Still shoot it every year, it is excellent.

I have a Model 501 Winchester Grand European that is 40 years old and still going strong. I have shot it 2-3 times weekly and we estimate that it has fired about 200-250,000 cartridges.

😍 Recently bought an old Winchester 101 (made in Japan) in mint condition....looks very similar to that one...

That gun is probably 40 years old from the old "Winchoke" choke tubes. I have one from when Classic Doubles took over the sales from Winchester that I bought in 1985. Still shoots like a charm

Wonderful guns! Never an issue, superb quality for the money. They have a reputation for excess recoil which I never found to be true. Best bargain on ever!

I’ve got a similar version, the Winchester XTR super grade lightweight, designed for shooting 3” Magnums. Over 30 years old, still in excellent condition and will probably last forever.

I'm sorry ... i'm sorry did you just compare an olin kodensha winchester 101 to an Ata or Yildiz??????? Take that back and quick! They were made to compete directly against brownings superposed and the citori, diamond grade is 80's and was one of the first multi chokes and led to the first sporter, the win 101 is an absolute classic and even at 40years old a good condition one will hold its own against anything in todays market upto £1500, and embarass a yildiz and ata

@@bigglesbiggles4999 i'm lucky enough to still have 2 101s and a 96- which is identical but with nikko ejector system, all great guns have seen god knows how many cartridges and still shoot and feel better than anything i have felt in todays market below say a 725

I have still got a supergrade lightweight game 101 with the winchoke system, superb guns. I bought a sportier version brand new in 1981. Ridiculous to compare to these Turkish imports.

My father passed down his diamond grade shotgun to me and it’s over 30 years old. It’s nice and smooth through out the brake and the finish is just superb. Are they worth a few dollars in this condition? I’ve been using it this last year so I’m wondering if I should put it away to keep in great nick and buy another gun to use.

Use it mate, they are made to be enjoyed and if you don't you will look back and wish you did. Plus they go on forever if you look after them and don't do what david does in slamming the gun closed that hard everytime

I had one, yes beautiful looking but, and a big but, the stocks cracked at hand really easily , mine did as well as others who owned them. The sears were made of cheese, had to have them replaced because of wear, the metal was too soft and if you took it out in the rain, you had to be quick to dry it off and re-oil or the barrels would rust at will. Would I have one again, of course they are stunning! Oh I forgot, mine also shot loose, that's why I got rid of it. lol

I've had several. And know of multiple people who also had several and still do. No such thing as a shotgun or any mass made mechanical item for that matter that doesn't have some form of failures amongst the many builds. I've never personally seen or had any issues and have shot countlessly with them. Have seen non stop issues with new 686s and brownings, the 101 holds it own against anything on todays market below 1500£

If you are selling stuff, can you ship to America? I have a browning ultra xs that somehow made it's way to this side of the pond. It seems most browning over here have ported barrels which I find utterly useless. What have you in 20 gauge with 32 inch barrels?
