Barney's Cafe Review- Mt. Airy, NC (Andy Griffith's Mayberry)

Come along with us as we try out Barney's Cafe for the first time. It is located in Mt. Airy, NC aka Mayberry. We will also show you a few of the sights in the town of Mt. Airy. You might even see Andy, Barney, and Opie.

Great video. Really enjoyed it! I’ve been there one time and ate at Snappys Lunch. Did not know about Barney’s. Another thing I learned from your video is the a tour in the police car. Have to go back and do that.

The line at Snappy' was long as you may have seen in the video. The porkchop sandwiches are what Snappy is known for. You would definitely enjoy the squad car tour. It was fun and informative.

Well, now you all have us wanting to make another trip to Mayberry. Last time we were there, we said we are gonna try Barney's Cafe next time. It used to be the Bluebird Diner, I believe. We have done Snappy Lunch many times, so Barney's is next. Did you all go for the day, or did you stay overnight? Also, where were those stones in the sidewalk, that had the character names on them? I don't remember seeing those.

We went for the day. Got there about mid-day which was later than what we wanted but still had a good time. The stones were outside of the jail on the right side of the building. We are wanting to go back soon and take in the museum and see more. This was not our first trip but it had been awhile since our last visit. David has eaten at Snappy Lunch before. I have fixed the famous porkchop according to the recipe in the cookbook but did not make it a sandwich. How far are y'all from Mt. Airy?

@@vafunseekers If you ever go down for a night, there is an awesome place to eat supper, called The Depot, in Dobson. Its not far from Mt. Airy. Great steaks and ribs, among other things.

It’s not that bad of a ride. It’s a good day trip and you can eat and check out the other sites. I would recommend you going and checking it out. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I visited Mt. Airy 4 years ago and didn't remember seeing Barney's, Did this recently open? Its definitely doing the business!

Yes this was a busy little restaurant. Most places are busy here on the weekends. This place opened back in 2004 according to Barney’s Facebook page. We enjoyed our lunch here. @@vafunseekers Thanks, Ive been to Snappy Lunch and Opie's candy store and visited Wallys but somehow I missed Barneys, Gives me a reason to return, I love Mt. Airy NC.

@@JayDogTitan-he6wo it is a great town. We have been there a few times and always enjoy visiting here. Barney’s Cafe is on the opposite side of the street and just down the street a little from where Snappy Lunch is located. Hope you get to visit soon and have a great time! @@vafunseekers Thank you very much, To be quite honest I wouldn't mind moving there one day, We visited in 2018 and I was immediately hooked on the area, Oh I'm coming back and I'll give you my review on Barneys. Citizens arrest! Citizens arrest!
