I would like to say “What’s even the point of making the movie, if they’re gonna just delete it and erase it out of history for no reason”!

A lesser version of this is Roger Corman’s Fantastic Four. It was made just so Marvel retain the screen rights. They never intended to release it. Nobody who worked on it knew until just before release.

This also happened with the 90’s Fantastic Four film. It was made as a tax write off, and then leaked years later. It’s actually not that bad as a movie.

yeah, I find this practice really insulting to any kind of creative person that works in movies, it's like if your an artist that worked on a grand painting for a really long time and once you finish it your proud of it and eager to show it to the world, but then some rich asshole department head comes along and ruins your painting by splash black paint all over it. this is what deleting these movies feels like to me.

I believe the issues with the Flash movie are 99% entirely on the fact that Ezra Miller is a garbage human being. I found the movie itself to be pretty entertaining. Except for James Gunn's middle finger to the fans by replacing Michael Keaton in the final sting with George Clooney. That sucked.

I don’t presume to know how tax laws for movie studios works but what I don’t get is, if they simply want the tax write-off why not simply release the movie to the public domain? WB get the write-off and maybe some good-will from the public and people can still see the film, everyone wins. Deleting the film almost just seems like a way to spite both the people who made it but also the audiences that didn’t get a change to see it.

If this keeps practice keeps happening I’m betting directors/actors/unions are going to demand getting a copy of the film as a safeguard to prevent their work getting lost. Totally forgot about the willow series existing. I remember the first images were released then I couldn’t recall any other updates on it.

I think I've said enough here, but I'll make one more point... Zaslov very well may intentionally have not seen the film. This gives him the excuse of cancelling it without having to say it is too woke. It's impossible to believe that he doesn't have advisors that have already informed him of the content of the film.

Speaking of Sesame Street, I've heard that the introduction of Elmo into the series was its moment when it jumped the shark.
