Battery testing and diagnosis of my Wright 36i stander mower

In this video, I will show you how to do a few quick checks on your battery if your mower won't start. I will show you how to check the battery voltage and how many volts the charging system is putting out to charge the battery.

This exact same thing happened to me. I was in the middle of disassembling the electric harness connecting the ignition switch to the starter when I stumbled across this video and tried jumping the mower (I had previously tested the battery and got 12V). It started right up. How bizarre. Perhaps the current wasn't there? Anyway thanks for posting!

That a nice 36 inch Wright stander with floating deck I want the 32 inch Wright stander with floating deck for cutting low and tall grass or the 32 scag stand on mower.

Also a loose cable would have caused this too. Russell how many lawns do you service and do you work alone. I started dabbling into lawn care this year and love it. I hope you dont mind if I ask questions.

Yep I am solo. in the summer I do about 6-8 a day. I go after the higher profit ones so I dont kill myself with more than that. It would be nice to have help, but I would have to have like 15 a day to justify another person and what happens when they lay out? Then you are trying to do that many by yourself and cant creating angry customers. I also have one day that I dont schedule work so I can do estimates and use it as a rain make up day.

FYI 12v is way too low. If the battery is any good it needs a minimum of 12.2v-12.3v to be considered any good.
