One of your best videos. I need reminding of the "don't quit" rule now and then. I CrossFit and inevitably when things get really rough I quit. Then I regret it. I constantly need reminded, "one more step, one more rep." And a sense of humor. A lot of us fall back on drama instead of taking a moment to put shit in perspective. Good job.

@@BrookeBerghuis Oh wow I can't believe I made this comment way back when. I'm a 2nd semester cow right now, and overall I'm really glad I came here. The covid lockdown rules here are really strict, and today I would be leaving for spring break but that's been canceled - so that sucks. But generally speaking the opportunities for development are plentiful and I've developed a lot since coming here. Some of my biggest gripes with this place include the general workload being too much, chronic sleep deprivation affecting >90% of the corps, and the fact that higher leadership here blames cadets for everything. So as good as this place has been to me it has been equally frustrating. I'm glad I came here but I absolutely cannot wait to graduate.

Good job, Justin. Interesting and valuable how you describe Beast as a process to build-up new cadets rather than select and eliminate. btw- If you're planning on going to Ranger School- and you should, that's pretty much expected of Infantry officers- you should be working on running. The Ranger Runs are design to eliminate Ranger students who can't keep up. Work on doing wind sprints. The Ranger Runs are a four mile series of wind sprints and jogs rather than a steady pace. Practice on a track by sprinting a lap followed by jogging a lap or on the road by sprinting for a quarter to half mile followed by jogging at a moderate pace for a quarter mile. Build up the distance you can sprint. The further that you can sprint, the better. It's been quite a while since I was at Ranger School, but I suspect the Ranger Runs haven't changed.

army snipers are enlisted guys, as far as I'm aware, so the answer would be no (if I'm correct)
@ethansteingruby19826 жыл бұрын
S. Morgan But what about special forces
@s.morgan70156 жыл бұрын
I don't know the answer to that question. There is no specific sniper MOS for special forces; the SF MOSs are just things like "Special Forces Weapons Sergeant" and "Special Forces Officer" so idk the details and am not qualified to answer. But other than SF, I have to revise my answer slightly. Wikipedia says that "students [of US Army Sniper School] must be in MOS series of 11 (Infantry), 18 (Special Forces), or 19D (Cav Scout)," which implies that if you're an 11A or something then you're good to go to the school. But the B4 (Sniper) ASI can only be given to 11B guys, not 11A. If you're an officer, even if you go to sniper school, you won't be doing a sniper's job once you get back to daily life in the Army; you'll still be a regular Infantry Officer (at least, as far as I'm aware). If you have a specific hands-on job your heart is set on, go enlisted. They're the guys who get the specialized shit; commissioned officers have a much broader scope of responsibility.
