I think people really underestimate how important it is to train your visualization skills. In my opinion, it's the difference between a gi and a joe that knows how to construct.

Your content is unlike that of any other. Nobody really takes the time to explain how form relates to perspective, which is weird because there's a direct correlation between the two. Very good videos!

I think it's just that some of us have a harder time wrapping our heads around how to apply the knowledge. I know perspective, up until I have to draw certain things. The way he teaches makes it a lot easier to understand than other teachers because he applies it and explaining the small details is really key. After watching these I've drawn things I never knew I could.

Your videos directly helped me a lot drawing with ink more since you got this pre-line thing with colored ballpoint going on. That is actually pretty awesome to transition from pencil to direct ink even more since it can still be told apart. Keep at it, providing a lot of value here :)

You’re hella good at rendering shadows. I have read both Scott Robertson’s H2D and and H2R ( may need to re-read this one), but struggle with shadowing with only black, the most critical locations in the picture plane that imply full shadow or shadow with some reflected light. Maybe that’d be a good future video idea lol.

I was at a Point where i could draw all Major perspectives of the human Body and Head Close Up. Now what i Like to do is, make weird Angles and draw the figures as dynamic as possible. I also Experiment with mixing Western Comic Art with Manga Styles. It failed for a really long time but i think that i discovered my preferred artstyle that way since i also allways tried to put some semi realism in. I am a detail Lover after all. But jeah i agree that perspective Takes a lot of practice and your way of doing it is pretty cool but i am more shocked at how good you can draw that Bike. I struggle with consisntency, its somehow hard for me to draw the Same Person again and again and be consisntent with it.

in the grid of motorcycles i didn't really feel the fish eye lens type perspective. the bikes look like they were just following the standard 3 point vanishing points. i dont get the feel of any curvature in their perspective.

Brother, why we are using fisheye lens? to show multiple object in one frame ?
@ModernDayJames
@ModernDayJames 6 жыл бұрын
The fisheye lens helps show convergence both above and below the horizon. The exercise can be performed without vertical convergence, however, KJG tends to use distorted perspectives so I tried to emulate that
