my husband is from smaller cities I'm from the capital, nice part but still, it's East Europe. one night I think I hear ppl moving in the living room so I wake up, think I see a shadow through the door and I just jump out in my underware looking for a fight. I woke up angry. fortunately my husband immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me back, took out his fake airsoft gun (we don't have guns here since the 89' revolution, they abolished the death penalty too) and goes in the living room instead of me. tells me to stay put in the bedroom. turns out I just dreamt it. my dad had passed away the day before, and my mom kept talking all day about his stupid ass ghost visiting us and so I dreamt a home invasion.

My daughter had to rescue a baby bat who got caught in her boyfriends tub. Her bf stayed in bed yelling “You’re the best, Laura”! My daughter is a girl from the suburbs who went to nature camp every summer and her bf lived in a not great part of a city. She was also fearless. And yes, we joked about that for years and years!
