The google scenario is me all day. I do overthink a lot and let my thoughts ruin my life. I was told to "Let It Go" many times when I try to talk to people about the problem Im having. Every time something stress me, I go into this complete cycle.

Sitting, allowing, and ignoring anxiety is not the solution. That's part of it, but we need to understand what is happening scientifically. Our minds are designed and wired for love and optimism. Whenever there's a toxic thought or memory that has entered or been stored in the mind, your brain sends warning signals (anxiety, panick, symptoms, etc) because it needs to be reprocessed. The answer is stop resisting, stop ignoring...pay attention, embrace, gather awareness of the issue (which weakens the thought), then reconceptualize and reprocess it into the healthy thought that serves you. That is where you find real peace. Simply "allowing" these thoughts and trauma responses or anxiety signals to be there without being reprocessed will only worsen it because it's a warning signal from your brain that there is something toxic that needs to be addressed and your brain is protecting you from the toxic thought. Believe me or not Shaan, but this is backed by neuroscience.

I'm a bit curious. How to reprocess these negative thoughts?. I have tried allowing, accepted, indifference, but the anxious sensation is still following me
@dominik7206
@dominik7206 17 күн бұрын
So, shaans description is backed by neuroscience as well. He doesn't state that you should just accept the thought and not process it with more intrusive thoughts. Thats basically the same you state. Or as Dr. Weekes stated: the worst effect of anxiety is worrying that it might become worse if you have an anxiety sensation. Knowing that it won't is key to recover

Wow, a key concept which I am only now beginning to comprehend, after over a year of constantly listening to Shaan and reading Claire Weekes... It won't be possible in the very beginning with all the panic attacks etc, but as we begin to recover, we see our negative ruminating habits and we can ignore them better.

I think what if I get a heart attack or what if I get a stroke I just turned 18 3 days ago I'm not overweight or do I have any history of chronic illness it's just 15 days ago I got a panic attack and since then I've been really focusing on every symtoms the scariest symtom is the sharp chest pain which go away when I don't focus on it if I keep focusing on it progresses into a panic attack. Thanks shaan for sharing your videos you are a true angel you've helped me so much. Times are really tough rn and I'm in this box which I cannot come out of it's like a really negative time rn

Hahaha, I can totally relate to it. I do think it is due to helath anxiety. Hypochdria is not only about being afraid of physical ailments, but mental as well. Those who are bipolar or major depressed CAN'T control their high's and low's without meds or on their own will power, I guess (?!). And yeah anxiety comaped to these conditions is ''peanuts''.

Some people might ask. What about the thoughts about works or anything else. According to my experience that thought is fine you can think about project and finish it since it is a real issue unlike panic or irrational thoughts which is not an issue to begin with. When i stop engaging irrational thoughts i have experience brautifull days. It become easier over time and good days come a lot more often. Slowly i start thinking about holidays or another stuff . Shaan is right the brain slowly forget about it.

I honestly ruined myself.. I felt this video . I get numbness, tingling sweating all day in my hands.. Chest pains, dizzyness, weakness, alternating bowel movements, bad sleep, high heart rate and daily panic attacks, weight loss.. I have looked up so many serious medical issues that when ever I get a symptom I convince myself something is really wrong and then a panic attack.. Doctors say I'm fine.. I have tried methods of coping but I think it's time for medication 😩

Hi. Well, it highly depends on what key symptoms you are struggling with. I had panic disorder with somatic issues. As for now I feel much better. The panic attacks are gone for good and the strong fear of having another one as well. Anyway, no mood disorder (depression etc.) In my case. I only had panic attacks and mild health anxiety (because of them). CBT cured my fear of them. So panic attacks disorder is CURABLE. Not sure about the other anxiety disorders.
