Behringer Crave: Filter and its Colors. Tips and Tricks, Tutorial, Patch ideas.

Wide palette of colors may be generated with Behringer Crave filter: from simple things to complex modulations via patch bay. In this video I'm showing patching examples.

I've been extremely close to getting a crave several times but I always get something else instead. I think this video is gonna push me to get it. Fantastic video. A lot of people assume the person watching the video knows everything that the person making the video knows. Certainly in my case that's not true. I really appreciate how you explain everything you're doing. Great job!

It is a very satisfying experience to fiddle with synths. I'm sure I have hundreds of hours of my life spent just fiddling knobs....I wouldn't have it any other way. Have fun!!!

Absolutely brilliant! I have never seen anyone explain a patchbay in any real depth before. This video has persuaded me to get a crave as my first synth (it waa going through be a model D - I guess that will be my second!) Make more videos!

I'm not sure about the voltages between eurorack cv and pedal. Ideally, there are third party modules that convert voltages in a proper way so you may integrate line-signal devices

Great demo! I am really torn between getting a K2 and a Model D, because I like the grit and versatility of the K2, but just can't leave the fat creamy Moog sound. Do you think I could get that Minimoog-like sound routing the K2 through the Crave filter?

Yes. But the sound will be mono anyway

It only has a Low pass filter but it doesn't have Hi-Pass filter. It has what is called High Pass filter Mode which is something very different.

@@AntonAnru What I meant was that in your videos you say 'High pass filter' but it isn't a HP filter. It only has a Low Pass filter, the HP mode isn't the same thing and doesn't act in the same way. It's an effect caused by phase cancellation.

@@gr4phic3r To be fair to Moog the build quality is a lot higher. Moog has things like surface-mounted controls and Behringers are board mounted. The components used are of higher quality. I look at it like buying baked beans. You can get Heinz or a supermarket own brand. They are both baked beans but there is a difference. I know if I had enough money for the Moog I would spend it on a pair of Craves.

@@rexterrocks i got me a crave, a really nice synth, but my next ones will be subharmonicon, dfam, mother-32 and maybe one from erica synth - so i´m sure you are right, but price compared what you get is crave awesome
