Hi Eric, hope all is well. I’ve commented several times now on how good these Crave tutorials are and your high skill level as a clear and concise teacher. I’m not sure why you stopped making tutorials. Maybe life is too busy. I have to say that since the Crave is now part of a trilogy of synths, I’m pleading with you to do another superb tutorial on the Behringer Edge, and when it is more widely available, the Behringer Spice. I know it is a great deal of work, but it would be of such benefit to us users of the trilogy. You really are an extremely good teacher and I want to be able to "Pless Pray” (I'm so glad you left that in, after all we are all only human!) on the Edge and Spice!! The three units are definitely made to be played together and knowing how to use them to their fullest would be terrific!!

Every single one of your Crave videos has been really useful to me, I will visit them many more times (got my Crave yesterday), thank you very much sir, highly appreciated! 🙂👍🏻🥳🏆

Its a great feature of the crave, ive got a Roland system 1, which is a great synth, but no sequencer! Instead of buying a £100 step sequencer & hooking it up, i can just use the Crave! I tried this ages ago, & it worked like a charm! (I must admit, i just plugged & played, no charts were involved, i may be a little impetuous like that!) This explains it well & how to do it PROPERLY! Great video!

First off, as you may have heard, the Behringer resources for this device ain't gotten nuthin' on you, New Jack! Thanks so much for these :beyond: in-depth tutorials and dives. All of that said, now that I've become reasonably well-versed in Crave-ology, all I can think about is "...How in the great goobledee-goo did he obtain all of this information!" The fact that you seem informed at almost the assembly level makes me wonder if perhaps that's literally true... Any event, you are doing the world a service! Thank you!

These tutorials are very, very useful, thank you so much! I have a Volca Beats, Volca Keys and a Crave (last firmware on board). Since the only one that sports a tempo display is the Volca Beats, I just set the Crave to receive 2ppq from the tempo input (shift+hold+8, first led is yellow so we are already in page1 - tempo input modes, then press 2, finally press shift+hold+8 to save) and voila, patch a cable between sync out (volca) and tempo in (crave) and I have the Volca Beats as the master.

But how about syncing it to a DAW like ableton 10? I can get the Crave to recieve clock and stop start commands but it won't tempo sync like the Edge does. Seems like this would've been covered in tutorial 16? I have it setup properly to sync in Live but it wont' lock to tempo.

I wish things were the same on all gear. I am planning on getting a Crave soon and later a Roland SH-4d, it will be good to know of this behavior before I might encounter it.

great video, I am trying to sync my ARTURIA DRUMBRUTE to BEHRINGER CRAVE. MIDI OUT (Arturia) MIDI IN (BEHRINGR) but doesn't sound like the tempo is synced. do I need to change MIDI channel of arturia to the same midi channel of behringer. thanks in advance,

The weird problem with tempo changes is because of a stupid decision Korg made with the Volcas. Because the sequencer does 2 steps per pulse, they use some code to generate the timing for the "in between" steps. This means it takes a little while to respond, a bit like how tap tempo needs a few taps to calculate from. You can switch the Volca into step-per-pulse, but in my experience they do something even more stupid - instead of stepping on each pulse, it ignores every other pulse and then "recalculates" the in-between pulses again.
