The plaintiff says he sold a canoe to the defendant, and the guy stopped making payments, so the plaintiff is suing for the money he says he is owed. The defendant claims he canceled payments on the canoe because it wasn’t safe for his kids. There were patched holes in the canoe, and the defendant wasn’t going to allow his children to drown.

The defendant tried to act like he didn't know how to work his laptop and go outside. When he kept giving excuses about why he couldnt show the canoe, I knew then something was fishy. First, he said 'oh, I'm on my laptop. I don't know how to do that". Judge Milan asked him to turn around and look out the window and he said "oh I'm too far." He really didn't wat to go outside

The defendant looks like Bubble Bass from SpongeBob. His character spends the entire episode getting free burgers from the restaurant because he claims every burger is missing an ingredient. By the end of the episode SpongeBob figures out how to bust the Bass at his own game. How ironic is that this defendant is just like the Bass trying to get something for nothing. Smh

I don't get the defendant at all. Does he really think that he can take the boat and keep the money? I feel like once the transaction has taken place on Craigslist, u take ur losses. If he cares about his kids' safety so much, buy them a new canoe, not one off of craiglist! I find it funny when these people think she will wait for them to find the evidence. This is why lawyers get paid the big bucks. The good ones know all the angles and will prepare evidence to support their side.

After The Verdict Dear Judge Milian, For those who've seen the t.v. show Girlfriends, we call this our 'Never Going Back to Fresno Fund.' 🤣 Toni was willing to let her hubby go to jail rather than to dip into her savings. I think a lot of ppl who grew up underprivileged have a place/situation they vow never to return.
