If this was the NFL, he'd been cut years ago. I love guaranteed contracts and all but, there has to be some provisions for players like Ben Simmons so that the team can get out of the contract. The fact that you think of him as a guard is actually the problem. The 76ers tried to make him a PG for some reason despite the fact that he couldn't shoot in an era where guards NEED to be able to shoot. Ben should have been a forward. He WAS a forward and the 76ers inexplicably took the fact that he had decent ball handling and passing ability and used that to justify sticking his 6'10" ass permanently in the PG position. His career was killed in the crib.
