The bent-over row is a closed chain activity, targeting the bigger global muscles, but you’ll also get some great recruitment of your trunk stabilisers.
How To Do It:
How:
1️⃣ Slightly flexed knee
2️⃣ Hinge over from hip - try this without any load first
3️⃣ Maintain a neutral spine with your hands shoulder-width apart
4️⃣ To ensure full range of motion is occurring, think about pulling your elbows behind you and hold for one second before controlling the load back down
5️⃣ Ensure the line of pull is into the belly button and not into the sternum (this isn’t an upright row)
❎ Don’t go too heavy and begin to jerk the load up
❎ Keep torso position consistent throughout, losing the hinging position will reduce range of motions.

Would be good if you touched on wrist position. A lot of people, especially under heavy loads tend to flex at the wrist

I do bent over rows without the ideal hinge kinda like the example he gave of how NOT to do it. The reason being it isnt comfortable for me. I do pendlay as part of my programming for this reason to kind of get whatever i am not while doing the bent over row. I enjoy doing them because its a good way to over load. I do limit my body english though

My lower back got hurt because I bent-over rowed right after deadlifting. At first I thought it was because of my weak lower back, but the truth is because my core was so weak that my lower back got all the weight by itself.

If you do this the wrong way you will end up with some serious back trouble I don’t think this exercise is worth the risk kind of like doing deadlifts it’s not worth the risk I know some people will argue till you’re blue in the face about that but I mean what’s the Point all I do is push-ups and pull-ups I think that’s all you need to stay in shape are there crazy weightlifting shit I don’t think that’s meant for long-term stuff it helps to build strength and you can get really strong doing it but I think it’s better left to like professional athletes and stuff they can really see the difference in performance I don’t think the average person needs to take the risk of doing certain exercises just for bragging rights

Deadlifts are good for building muscle because they basically require the use of all your muscles. The issue is when people EGO LIFT and do not use proper form.

@@RedSeraph_ Deadlifts are good if you know how to do good live the problem is most people are not taught how to do good lives and they just watch somebody in the gym do deadlifts and think that they want to be like him because everybody thinks he’s cool and then they start doing deadlifts but they’re not doing them the right way and then they end up with back problems but yeah you’re right you are right Don properly dad lives to build strength but done improperly dead lifting destroyed back’s
