There's an unsubstantiated rumor going around that we only did a short-barrel episode in order to make more DP jokes. To that we say, even though that rumor started here, in this comment you're reading right now, it's baseless and we don't appreciate the accusation. DP filled in the gaps within the range here as well as any other tool and deserved its spot even if it doesn't always fit in with the others.

Does DP offer other size barrels? After all, even DP can benefit from a longer stroke. If they fail to capitalize on that fact, that's their fault.

Once or twice is a joke, not even really a funny joke but it's their channel. They over-do it though which isn't funny, it just gets old, tired, infantile and crass at the same time. Like many of their immature viewers it seems from the cheerleading comments. It's like everyone here is 13 years old or something.

I actually have the walmart one. It really isn't a bad little gun for what it is. But i literally use it once or twice a year and the most intense thing I've ever done with it is remove wheel studs. That said this episode was absolute comedy gold. It makes me want to buy a DP just because.

my coworker bought a DP air hammer, this exact one cuz he needed a cheap go to and let me tell you, this little thing DOES WORK, its taken on most things that you'd need a medium or long stroke air hammer for and still come out on top which is extremely impressive. We've abused it too and its still going strong.

I’ve had a Silver Eagle (Matco budget brand) long barrel air hammer I bought for $150 with bits off the truck 7 years ago, it’s been beat badly and honestly shouldn’t work but some how it keeps removing u joints, busting ball joints loose, rocking my shake and brake, knocking out rivets and rough cutting sheet metal. I’d buy it over and over again, the only thing I could see myself using a short barrel air hammer for is rivets they’re great for that

I have been using the Campbell Hausfeld GSD (Get S**T Done) XT101000 Air Hammer for about 2 years now. supper happy with it. its 2.75 inch barrel. I have been super happy with it and i was fairly inexpensive. i think i paid around $45 for it. it also has a very good ergonomic feel to it. and it is very efficient on air. so for a guy with a small compressor it runs a very long time. I have used it to cut the heads of rusty bolts a a jeep yj. it went threw them like a hot knife threw butter. of coarse i was running top quality bits in it though. but the factory bit work well as well.

I would be REALLY interested in seeing how corded rotary-hammers compare here. About a year ago I needed an air hammer to loosen some corroded cone washers on an FJ-40 steering knuckle. I don't have an air system in my garage, so I figured the next best thing was to use a corded rotary-hammer in hammer-only mode. How much power was I giving up?? I used the Bauer 1" SDS-Plus 7.3 amp model from Harbor Freight.

Ok to make a point about price. If the shipping is high while the price is really low then its just a marketing thing they are doing, Like $4 price and $20 shipping is the same as $24 price and free shipping. So many think they are getting a deal but you are not. Since that was $4 in store then they are just trying to get arid of stock and that is a price drop just to get arid of it for new stock. I think that would normally be around $20 to $24 but I have seen the recently get as low as $15 recently. I always try and find those sell quick discounts on foods and tools. You can save a lot on most the things like that even if they are not the best.
