You should do an episode of Movie Fights where you debate interpretation of movies, like the ending to the Inception, or Ghost in the Shell, The Babadook, Pan's Labyrinth... I love when a film is open to interpretation and I think it's pretty interesting to discuss it.

I agree. Even though I loved the Dark Knight and thought it was amazing. The utter devotion and acting as if it could do no wrong, is a little bit pitiful if anything. There are other superhero films honestly that deserve a ton of praise too. Like Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man, Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, etc.

Batman Begins. it had the right Batman, the right Gotham, and a great story for Bruce Wayne. Ra's Al Ghul was great too. And I thought Scarecrow was pretty good. Other than Batman Begins, its gotta be Spider-Man 2. its so good. seriously.. and of course, The Dark Knight.

***** its my personal opinion. TDK was freaking amazing, I agree. its just that I prefer Batman Begins for personal reasons. mainly because its part of my childhood and the movie made me love Batman even more. TDK was more of a Joker movie where Batman loses and its a great movie. :)

My problem with Begins is it sets up a compelling moral/ideological conflict and most the film is driven by that thematic contrast, but it gets resolved by the protagonist fighting the antagonist. Batman should have been somehow proven right about Gotham is worth saving. It sort of goes in that direction with the climax on daddy's train but you have to squint to see that connection and it doesn't make sense if you think about it too long.

+slidey06 Pretty sure Falcon was pretty official by Civil War. Blank Panther I'm sure will be on Cap's "Secret-Avengers"-type team going forward. And Fury has been a pretty freaking integral part of the whole universe. Not to mention the badass Heimdall, or the slew of new black characters being introduced in 'Black Panther'. I just think people need to settle down about diversity - especially when there is already /plenty/ of diversity being portrayed in the property in question.

I can't believe Max won at the end. I think people get fooled by Max's passion while he's speaking into thinking that he always has a flawless argument. When Max said that the Dark Knight is a Masterpiece and said Blade was a good movie, he should have lost right then and there! At that point he dug himself into a hole where it doesn't matter how many negative things he brings up about the Dark Knight because he still thinks it's a masterpiece regardless of its flaws. Alicia should have won 100%!

Max kills every time he's in movie fights. He has the most creative, well thought arguments and pitches, and his counterarguments are solid. He actually debates. I like silliness but most of the times silly argument are just easy and lazy pitches. Max gets me thinking.

The Dark Knight Spider-Man 2 Winter Soldier Civil War Batman Begins Iron Man Avengers Spider-Man Guardians MoS Watchmen X-Men X2 DOFP First Class Deadpool All I know is, these movies vary from great to fantastic. The first 3 should be an inspiration to all filmmakers. They show what these movies can be. A lot of ppl like to scoff at the idea of superheroes bcuz it's make believe, but if you treat them like actual characters, the possibilities are endless

I really loved seeing Max smile at 13:52 The guy gets a ton of hate and crap just for being himself, as weird and as zany and as loud as that may be. But i really do think he is a good nice guy who is extremely passionate about what he does and that is why he is one of my favourite fighters and I enjoy hearing what he says every time he comes on.

Personal opinion: The best arguers on Movie Fights (not funny, just make best and most detailed arguments/ best fighters) 1. Max Landis - in depth, creative, makes up a lot of his answers on the spot 2. Dan Murrell - champ, but deservedly so 3. Chris Stuckmann 4. Alicia Malone - best female fighter and one of my favorites 5. Spencer Gilbert WORST: (worst arguments/ only attempt to be funny, rarely make intelligent arguments) 1. Max Landis has grown into one of the best fighters on the show. The Rescuers Down Under pitch was brilliant and he went into a gun fight with a butter knife (Blade isn't even in the same area code as The Dark Knight) and somehow pulled it out.

I think the problem getting with movie fights is, you can only have the same fighters fighting the same topics so many times. That's why I like it when it is a different weird or comedic fight. It's just pure entertainment instead of actually arguing for what is the best.

These live fights are always biased.You can't trust the audience's judgement,cause they'll most likely choose their fave answer based on only it being their fave or their fave person arguing it.

This was such a great time! I was there in the audience (girl dressed up as Rey in the video) and it was a lot of fun! You didn't get to hear as much of the crowd's reaction to things in the video as you could at the panel but it was a great atmosphere! Watching everyone's reactions to some of the things said (*ahem* ass to ass) was definitely half the fun :)

Windows turns around, flamethrower dangling, and goes: 'You gotta be f**king kidding!' That line perfectly summates the blue-collar horror tone of that movie. It's The Thing in one line of dialogue." Came back for the speech, and it was incredible!

For once, I disagree with Alicia. I don't think Heath Ledger's Joker is the best comic villain in the last 10 years. I'm giving that to Loki. Tom Hiddleston embodies that character with absolute perfection and as a character he's far more interesting than TDKs Joker. He has better schemes, better lines, and what's more, because he's been in multiple movies you get to see his smaller schemes, pass or fail, fold into something more grand for himself. He's been in some bad movies (not that TDK was all that great outside of Joker scenes anyway) but as an individual character, I'd give that nod to Loki over Joker any day of the week.

I dislike both but Loki actively irritates me. He makes no sense as a character; his motivations are all over the place. He just exists to serve the plot and be smug about it. Tom Hiddleston is charming, yes (irritating I find in that role) but that character is poorly written. Oh and he doesn't have an ounce of threat. I mean he causes bad things to happen but the character himself doesn't ooze the slightest bit of threat as a villain. He's just pathetic.

OJWH That pretty much defines Loki the character. He has power, yes but he doesn't have overwhelming power. He's called the Trickster God for a reason. His motivations ARE all over the place because he's manipulative. You're not supposed to understand why he's doing what he's doing comic by comic (or movie by movie). Sometimes he's not even in it to benefit himself. He's just there to instigate and make matters worse. That's the character and Marvel has done a good job embodying that.

"It's clearly split" No, Andy, it's clearly not. That's the problem with using white and black. Black is a color we ignore, while white is a color that stands out. I noticed this in one round where he said that "clearly" the white won when it actually looked split. In the last round Max clearly won. Try using different colors next time.

Best movie line for me (off the top of my head) has to be either the monologue in The Fly when Brundle says he's a fly who dreamed he was a man, but the dream is over and the insect is awake.
