Your excitement was like a kid on Christmas. That performance and barely pushing 13 amps is amazing. I have an Active 2.3 on pre-order and I hope it performs the same as in their testing. I was looking at the Washr Duo because of cost with very similar rates stats.

Great video as always. You may be the first to video for sure, though I only look at a few channels on content like this and yours is so genuine, I like that a lot. I I've watched many and didn't have a chance to comment on them, I'll go back and do so. Can't wait for the reviews on the others. I'll be looking to upgrade to a better pressure washer though weight and size are a factor. But I do like how these are serviceable and have a long warranty. That foam cannon bottle didn't have a chance. Lol

Rarely have stated numbers by any company ever been right for me and my numbers at times are lower to others. Possibly 1100 is possible I think on the right electrical circuit and water supply.

Also in the UK we don't run into the issue with current (amps). Our standard wall socket is 13amps at 240v AC. Makes sense why petrol pressure washers are so popular there when home use stuff in the UK is always electric. This machine pulls like 8amps in the UK.

Yeah, mainly because our electrical grid was largely established before the 240v started being used in Europe. Would be too expensive to redo the whole thing so they kept it at 120v.

@@CarsWithKeav You must know the old carpenters saying: Buy a cheap tool, cry every time you use it, buy a quality tool, cry once. It's frustrating that so many on the detailing channels are arguing and fighting and bad mouthing others about their personal opinion on the alleged BEST. Few talk the fun and satisfaction their setup brings to them. I have a friend with a Karcher 1900, albeit a better hose, cannon, and gun. He is happy as a clam and I envy his satisfaction and ability to refrain from upgradeitis.

@@WorldwideBeagle Totally agree, it’s about the experience and making it as enjoyable as possible. I know some might not enjoy it as much if they spent a lot on them wondering in the back of their head saying could I have spent this money somewhere else. If I’m a business such as a carpenter then better tools in the long run will be helpful, but for the homeowner will you really ever get to where they get used enough to matter? I know reviewing is tough as we see these test them brand new and with so many option will never use them enough to be able to speak on reliability. We can pick and choose product quality and specs to try and say what we think will last. That’s why sometimes it’s best to just go with what we know is good already like the Kranzle and AR, but if we don’t try out the new stuff we will never know how good they are long term. Thanks for your insight!

Man I would love to own that. I love the green color scheme as its my favorite color. Which is why I go with Flexzilla hoses. Its just a bit expensive for me so I'm going to settle with the Ryobi 1800.

Pump noise is good and is basically the same or less than the sound coming from the water pressure spray. 19x10x10

Is there a video of you testing the 3/8 vs 1/4 with the active 2.0 and 630? debating on the lighter 1/4 hose vs 3/8 with this machine. Have the 50ft kobrajet 3/8 now and its pretty damn heavy, bend restrictor isnt helping the ergonomics of things either. Thanks.

I do not have any videos comparing anything outside of the Uberflex which I would not suggest for these machines. I have used the 40ft 1/4 wire braided hose from the active 2.3 on many pressure washers including the 630 and it works great. If I didn't have the Kevlar hose which is much lighter than a Kobrajet and close to the same weight as a steel braided 1/4 hose I would probably use a 50ft 1/4 braided hose instead. If I was working in the 100 foot range for hose length then I would stick with 3/8.

Best for the money is the Active 2.0. The money you save over the 2.3 would pay for the majority of a good setup. 2.3 is one of those wants and is amazing, but it of course costs more.

Been considering the Active 2.0, but will wait to see what the counterpoint to that is in the Big Boi Lineup. You mentioned the UBERFLEX 50ft does not perform that well with the 2.0, is that because of length? Will the UBERFLEX 35ft be a better performer? Appreciate all your great content Keav !!!

Uberflex isn’t a good hose. If I were you I’d get a kobrajet hose. Yes it’s heavier but it doesn’t kink up and it’s easier to wind up when storing. Quality is also far better.

Active actually responded on another video saying since the Uberflex and Flexzilla are not braided they tend to expand with units of this type of performance causing the pressure switch to not work correctly. Braided hoses keep their inner diameter making a more consistent stream of water for the pressure switch to operate correctly.

Uberflex is a good upgrade hose for that first pressure washer like a Ryobi, but when moving up to machines of this performance you need braided heavier duty hoses and 3/8. Active actually stated the flexible hoses like Uberflex actually expand and contract due to not having any steel braiding to keep the diameter consistent. This impacts the pressure switch for the start/stop.

Just waiting on the review from you on the Active 2.3 to see which way to go. Both look great, but for me mostly about GPM, motor life, serviceability, and amperage. I know I'd be happy with this, but if the Active is even better, I'll go that way when i upgrade.

I have it in my hands right now and it’s pretty good. Active came out with a video addressing serviceability. The amps is good and the numbers is impressive. Only thing is the sound. Pro is just quieter. I’ll have all the info in my video.

Go Bigboy, I got my Active 2.3 three days ago, and it’s already purging 😢 and it is loouuud(w the stock hose, no leaks.) Already contacted customer support and processing a return. Pretty bummed about it.

@@swoldierjan5332 you must have got a bad one. I’ve only used mine once and it ran good during the time I was using it. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to mine. I don’t think it’s loud but maybe that’s because I use mine outdoors.

Keav....Any idea what the modification is that needs to be done to the Washr Pro unit to run it off of a generator? BigBoi instructs you to contact them prior to running the unit off of a generator as the unit will need to be modified. I asked that question on Josh V's channel and the BigBoi reps said they would have to check with their factory and would report right back. Unfortunately they never did! Crickets....... Potentially not to inspiring from a customer support perspective.

That is very weird I mean a generator just supplies 120 volt electricity just like a wall socket would I think. I’m no expert in generators though. It should just plug in and has a GFCI on the plug. Not sure what could be modified.

Hey Keav, after testing Ar630 and Big Boi Pro, are there any significant performance differences? I’m not concerned about weight, amps or price. Which did you like better? You seemed a little more pumped in your AR630 review. I’m getting the AR630. This one has me second guessing.

If you had to make a choice between the big boy pro or the Krenzel power washer, which one would you say? Which one wins the battle going to make a choice of which one I am going to buy. I pre-ordered the pro still have not received it. Thinking of Cancel it and just go with the Krenzel.

I have never used a Kranzle before to know. Just never bit the bullet to pay that much money. Kranzle is proven to be good and more available parts. Performance wise they are close Big Boi might be a bit better there. Big Boi is new to the market so any issues could take a bit to resolve. If you have the money you can’t go wrong with the Kranzle.

What is the best pressure washer for mostly car detailing but u can use it around the house thats on a cart? Not all of us have a garage where we can mount it on a wall. I rent my house so wall mounting is not an option.

I myself would get a tool cart and put the pressure washer on it add some hooks for my hose and power cord and go crazy if not the Big Boi does have casters as an accessory to add wheels to the bottom. For around the house and car I think the Pro models of the Ryobi and Greenworks are quite good. They don't have start stop, but they get great pressure and flow for around $350 and its built like a gas pressure washer with big wheels and a handle.

Can you run the test the opposite way to see what the numbers will be and power consumption wattage will be with 3.0 and maybe even a 2.5 orifice ? I am curious to see when it overloads the 15amp breaker and what the output etc will be at max psi and what the flow will be. I would be curious to know the same info when you test the washer duo model that you also have in the box. Thx.

I’ll work on that and see what I can do. I’ll be doing a comparison video of all the pressure washers I can update three. Big boi said 14.5 is the safe limit and gave me some suggestions to get to the 1200 psi it’s supposed to have.

@@CarsWithKeav Sweet. Might as well push the limits and see what is usable on your 20 amp circuit as well. Since you have one and have access to a good variety of nozzle types.

You would think that at these price points they could design the pressure washer to be pretty stellar at 15amps and even better at 20amps with an appropriate power unit to handle both 15 and 20amp circuits. Probably will also need to take into account the design of the pump etc. maybe more headache than necessary. Was just trying to think outside the box. like having a split personality pressure washer. :)

This design of crank type pump vibrates a lot more than a kranzle. That and the weight are the only disadvantages. Other than that those pumps are awesome and can flow a LOT of water. I run mine at 12l / minute on a uk 13amp plug.

interesting, want to know how the quality is compared to active. I was annoyed with the Active 2.0 Debacle and surging issues, then the stupid push button issues. But, Active does have good warranty however and they respond to customers.

Question did you use an Uberflex or Flexzilla hose with your 2.0? Quality is excellent and the Active 2.3 looks to be a way better build than the 2.0 for sure.

Got the US version and could not make it to work. It started for a few second and the breaker on the plug stripped. I checked and noticed it drawer close to 2800w upon start up. Even my 20amp outlet could not handle it. Did some research and found out others also had similar issues. Contacted their customer service and waiting for their response.

I know they are working on it. I have the hum issue sporadically turning on and off multiple times it will work. It spikes amps when it hums. Looks to be sure to low voltage causing the motor to work extra hard to get going. 4 pole motors take much more to get going. I don’t think they understood the American electrical grid and the inconsistent voltage we have.

Not saying you can’t use it, but it will impact machine of this type of performance. Active actually stated that Flexzilla and Uberflex are not recommended due to them being so flexible they expand and contract in size with this much flow causing the pressure switch to not work correctly. You need braided heavy duty hoses.

Did Big Boi send you the WASHR PRO USA Performance Adjustment direction? I tested mine last weekend and it did not meet specs much like yours didn't. They sent me the direction tonight but I am out of town for the week so I cannot try and see if this will work.

It worked! Video will be out at noon today! I was able to get the stated numbers on the box at 14.45 amps. 1200 PSI at 1.95 GPM. Raised the overall max GPM with a 4.5 nozzle to 2.12 GPM at 930 PSI.

Received my Pro and wall mount yesterday. The lower hose connection loose, and the wall mount shelf is severely scratched up ... And one spot where they started to drill a hole, and stopped. Disappointing since shipping alone for the wall mount was $100. I emailed them, with the order number today. Hope they step up, and replace the shelf without issue/headache.

Nothing wrong about reporting on social. I find it informative as I also ordered the pro and wall mount. I emailed them over 2 weeks to ask about ETA. No reply as of now. That kinda of worry me in regards to customer service. My FedEx account has just informed me yesterday that I have 2 shipments coming totaling 65lbs. That worries me again as the pro itself is 60lbs. Will contact them again and hope they reply.

i was interested in this but their company is so unresponsive to emails and general questions. if they cant even respond to a general email of when they expect their product to be back in stock, i cant imagine how poor their customer service would be if you ever needed to do a warranty claim. ive emailed twice now asking when they expect to be in stock and nothing. ended up just buying an active since they didnt say anything.

They are trying to solve an issue that happens in some garages where the voltage isn’t high enough for the motor to get going to it increases amps and then over amps. They are holding the 2nd shipment till they find a tested fix for it. I agree I inquired about their products multiple times over the months before their first launch and got no response. They respond to me now via text after I found these issues with their products and they saw the videos. I love my Active so far it running like a champ and I’m not hearing much in comments about any issues except the noise.

I like to use my own hoses that I like. Didn’t want to spend and find out it wasn’t what I wanted. I could tell right away based on some videos and pics the spray gun was really bulky. I like them very slim and lightweight.

It’s a way to relieve pressure on the pump, you can turn down to have less output from the machine as well.

I recently started having issues with my Pro. Used it 2 times. On the 3rd use, when I turned it on via the switch, the motor gave a hum, but never started. After toggling On/Off a few times, the motor finally started. I contacted Bigboi. Their recommendation was to try a different outlet. I actually tried it on a dedicated 20amp circuit, and it still hums. I sent Bigboi a video this morning showing the failed start. Between a damaged wall mount (still have not received the replacement), and now a defective Pro ... I would suggest folks hold off with purchasing. Not the "experience" I was expecting.

That is what sucks about new products being launched. We early adopters are the Guinea pigs. I find it hard sometimes to comment on durability as I’m just looking at the parts and assuming it’s going to do well. You also can’t wait awhile to see how it goes either as everybody is wanting that video as soon as possible. My other problem is owning 5 different of these units in this category I won’t be able to use them as much as most would. I hope they get it resolved for you quickly. Sounds like they are trying to be helpful. The outlet change some in the comments said it fixed their particular issue.

Great points. Yes, absolutely they are working with me. I know ... We are Beta testers to a certain extent. My gut is telling me there is a failed capacitor. Like when your AC condenser fails to start. Anyway, appreciate the feedback, as always! I will report back once this gets figured out.

I reponded to the support team last Thursday with more videos, etc and have not heard back. Have you heard back with a fix or resoltion? Very frustrating with the lack of response and support. I have had the machine for almost 3 weeks with no help on getting the issue corrected

They are holding future shipments until they get some issues fixed. I have parts testing now. They are having low voltage issues that they did not foresee. They didn’t do much actual research in the U.S. just lab testing based on perfect 120v which is a big miss on their part. They may be changing the listing for the changes that will be made when all testing is good.

@@CarsWithKeav Thanks for sharing. It's amazing how often companies do stuff like this in failing to test product in a real world situation before releasing them. I bought a golf simulator launch monitor a few years back from a company called Earnest Sports. The thing was absolutely useless when any natural light was present. Even in a room with windows, the thing was useless. When I called support, they essentially admitted that it was never tested in the outdoor environment. I was able to get my money back within 30 days, but many folks got screwed.

@@ILruffian Yeah, it’s a mix of not knowing the actual power grid voltage and how most homes are wired. Then they try to bring a 4 pole motor which needs all that voltage to get going if not it has to increase amps then trips the breaker or it’s own protection circuit. Nobody really has done a motor like that for this type of task in a 120v power grid. Would have been a good idea to hire a consulting group to help them launch in the U.S.

@@ILruffian Matt has a specific criteria he believes in and a line he won’t cross and it’s not the same as mine. I don’t take his word when it comes to things he has not tested or used. That’s why I prefer to try them out for myself he misses a lot of good products due to his line in the sand when it comes to Chinese manufacturing.

I have not heard anything for a few weeks now. I sent them some videos of me reproducing the problem over and over. I think they have no idea what to do right now and are being silent until they do. I did run the unit for multiple washes just to see my problems were just an annoyance with the hum I was able to fix by just turning the unit on and off a few times. Others though have not been able to use yet. They said they are holding new shipments until they can resolve this.

Its nuts that americans are just discovering hose quick disconnects. I am 32 and British and we have had quick disconnects for longer than I have been on this earth. Hozeloc where one of the first. Wait until you guys discover you can buy them with non-drip non-return valves. You can power your hose up and water won't flow until you click it into the port. Been around years, plastic and brass.

I have been using quick connects for about 20+ years now. American companies just don't supply them with just about anything they are always an add on. I have tried the ones that don't run until connected, but at least the ones we have they have smaller diameters. I get the biggest inner diameter ones I can find which are always free flowing.

Mine stop after trigger if it is going another 5 to 10 seconds there is an issue with the pressure switch. What hose are you using?

@@lachlanmacrae5560 Sounds like an issue with the spring inside the regulator. It is supposed to retract to allow the machine to build pressure to have the pressure switch kick off. I think I have seen one other comment about that and the spring was broke. It’s just inside the 3/8 quick connect area just after the regulator adjustment knob.

Spring seems good and the pressure switch is definitely activating as soon as the trigger is released, Im starting to think this might be a design choice for the Australian market, as I have noticed this on a few other videos who have the Australian version 🤔

I still am pretty much a noob when it comes to pressure washers and psi & gpm. I have a GreenWorks 1900 PSI 1.2 GPM electric pressure washer with a few of my preferred upgrades, and it works phenomenally for washing my vehicles at home. I don't know about the amps it draws but from all my time using it, I've never had it trip the breaker, most likely because my little pressure washer that could isn't the strongest, but then again, i don't see why anyone would need such a strong pressure washer for detailing vehicles. I must be missing something. As long as my pressure washer can produce thick foam with my MJJC Foam Cannon S v3.0, and rinse the vehicles off perfectly fine, my GreenWorks electric pressure washer is more than perfect. Someone please shed some knowledge on me, I'd really like to know why the fancier, higher priced pressure washers are highly sought after. Of course quality is part of it, but what other reasons?

@TheAnointedOne7, Here's the the different, all those budget PW have about a 100 hour run time, and they are done. Something like Active 2.0 will give you double the life span. at double the price and get you close to 2 gpm . Which helps you work faster For weekend warriors what you have may be all you ever want or need, while a detailer wants to get that foam off the car as fast as they can, to move onto the next step. Time is money. Your 100 hour run time could last you 10 yrs, where as a detailer could see 100 hours in a few short months to a year, depending how busy they are.

seabreezeof responded with great info on this and I just wanted to say it’s a want vs a need for most the Greenworks is fine and some of us just want the best. Some like expensive shoes and coffee I like pressure washers. 🤣 like stated as a profession time is money and not just efficiency, but down time from a broken pressure washer. Commercial units are built to last longer.

That is awesome. Anytime you have a launch like this there will be some problems. Good to know customer service is responding so quick. That quick connect is not easily replaceable either as it’s part of the pressure regulator. I took it apart just to see and put it back together after seeing all the little parts. 🤣

Hopefully, it does not take too long. Quick connect actually can screw right out. It may look like one piece, but it just threads on. I was able to remove mine and send them pictures.

I got mine on Wed and I think mine may be defective. The pump turns on but doesn't actually pump with pressure. If I fiddle with the output power knob a little, I may get one strong pressure flow but if I release the trigger and the TSS stops the pump, it won't pump at full pressure again unless I mess with the output power knob again. It's weird... the pump shuts off like it should and when I pull the trigger, it comes on but doesn't actually pump with pressure. Oil level is good and the red cap was replaced with the included breather cap, hose pressure to the unit is good, etc... Really disappointed for dropping $700 on this. Hopefully their customer service can sort things out but until then, it's back to the Active 2.0.

Biggest difference between the pro and 2.3 is noise. 2.3 has superior performance, but the pro with its overengineered motor and pump just do it so effortless it’s much quieter.

The noise of the washr seems way better, though. And the hose reel option tipped me over the edge when deciding on that unit. Might keep the hose reel regardless of whether I end up with the 2.3 vs the washr pro

Now the question is when will active sell the 2.3 without the kit? When they release on the 22nd do you think it will sell as a standalone? Otherwise I’ll just buy the 2.3 kit now and use their hose instead of my uberflex.

All depends on volume of use really. Pro is designed to be used for very long periods of time. It is not much more performance than a 2.0, but uses less electricity as well. Sound is better to me with the Pro. Video on the Active 2.3 comes out today at noon it is very good.

Also, another question, do I get the 4.0 Nozzle from McKillans or the 5.0 Oracle pack from ObsessedGarage?

@@lowtrusted 2.0 I would stick with the 4.0 nozzles. It’s a good machine to start out with then you can upgrade down the road. Verdict is still out of Big Boi and the new 2.3 as to how well they hold up over time.

4:10 Nope! 2pol vs 4pol induction motor, the rpm should be the same! The true reason for more poles is: less power is needed to make a full revolution (RPM) = less fatigue for the bearings = more reliable

Not from what I have read now I’m no expert, but research shows a 4 pole with the same electricity will have half the revolutions of a 2 pole. My Google search said this which is why I said that “Two pole AC motors operating at 60 Hz will always run at approximately 3600 rpm, and four pole AC motors will have speeds around 1800 rpm” I’m not going to argue like I said I’m no expert, but in the end the motor does less work to get the results.

RPM: revolution per minute means by definition how many times a full turn (360°) is achieved in one minute. 1 Pol has to do a fulll 360° to achieve a 360° turn, 2pol 180° for each pol to achieve a 360° turn. 4pol 90° for each pol to achieve a 360° turn. ........... It does not matter if 1pol, 2pol, 4,pol, 6pol the goal is always 360°! the work load is just beeing divided by the pols.

Should have more performance would be the only thing higher amp will get you that isn’t already being delivered. Could raise the noise level some, but would t know until actually tested. They stated before taking down off their site that the 17amp can do 2.4 gpm.
