Really enjoy the information provided by your videos. Question on the front squat portion of the workout. Would a safety squat bar have the same effect/result.

One thought I had for your skater/hip squat exercise to make it safer for your knees is that, to prevent you from slamming your back knee down onto the pad as you drop back, you could set your back foot for support as you go down. Then, once your knee is safely on the ground, lift that back foot up again to force your front leg to work explosively as you drive your body out of the hole. Even with a pad it looked like your knee was smashing into the ground pretty hard. Interesting exercise you came up with though! I'll have to try it soon.

Great content. Been subscribed for a while and love your tips. But why do you let your athletes knees cave in when then squat? Doesn’t that lead to more knee injuries? Just wondering thanks.

Zercher Squats are also good if you have shoulder and/or wrist mobility issues

my life. I spent most of my time just developing my hamstring that now I realize the importance of quad strength as my start is weak and can't maintain low angle. I cant squat deep as it aggrevates my hip all the time and end up straining it which takes weeks for it to heal.

Work on your mobility so that you can squat ATG, it’ll make a very noticeable difference in athletic capability over time.

Hey coach! First of all, great video. Second, I'd like to ask a question. Do you guys do dead lifts and why? I never see you guys do dead lifts; it's either I see snatches, cleans, and clean and jerks.

It's funny you mention that. In short, I'm not the biggest fan of deadlifts due to the lack of acceleration on the bar which I think correlates better to athletics and I think there are more benefits to O Lifts. Yo coach Miller, I just started Olympic lifting but I had 2 knee surgeries on (tore both ACLs and patella) do you have any specific prehab drills and mobility to keep my knees healthy and get more gains on my lifts?

The leg extension is not a good exercise for sprinters, do multi joint movements instead.

There are better movements for Quads than leg extensions, single leg, front and back squats as well as step ups are better alternatives. Leg extensions don't really have a good carry over to specific activities, but if your quads are very underdeveloped in the Quads they are good because they don't tax anything but the quads

@@edo2465 I'm surprised but context is everything. They're usually used if one has a specific weakness. USA track and field's certification programs believes they are useless for runners and doesn't recommend it.

@@edo2465 Leg extensions are a good exercise, I have seen a lot of sprinters using It (including Usain Bolt). But It shouldn't be the main exercice, use It as a supplementary exercise.

What's difference between zercher and front squat? Wouldn't you benefit from zercher more since your mobility is diminished?

I have problems with the front rack position (poor wrist mobility, as well as upper arms that are short relative to my lower arms), so usually I do Zerchers instead. In my opinion they have basically the same benefits as the front squat and work the core muscles even more. Of course heavy Zerchers can be uncomfortable on the arms, but the tradeoff is worth it to me. Also, pulling them from the floor is a great way to work on powerful concentrics from a dead stop.

If you want to improve your speed, sprint. And sprint fast. Focus on the psoas, and medius and minimums. People do not get faster by lifting weights unless you’re producing more Newtons of force in your weight session and that’s couple with PAP. Do the research son.
