Recent application of GR6J rainfall-runoff modelling in support of water resources planning
Recording of BHS Pennines Webinar from Thursday 7th October 2021given by Tom Beskeen (Mott MacDonald).
A presentation looking at the recent application of the GR6J rainfall-runoff model across the UK in support of various water resources planning projects. The talk will look at how GR6J has been applied and how it performs as well as its advantages compared to other models and constraints. With the scale of modelling undertaken some of the pitfalls posed by hydrometric data and the relative merits of manual and automatic model calibration will be discussed.
The meeting was hosted by Tom Nurick and Chris Allman from the BHS Pennines committee.
