This build really picks up once you get the terminus est equipped. The toughest bosses are dropping faster than I ever recall, a very nice smooth build so far.

Excellent video. Thank you. Who gave thumbs down on this video? Shame on you who gave thumbs down. This is excellent build because he used minimal cost, cheap gears. That's why the character was killed by A8 Sirus but if you invest more, this build will be very tanky. The reason this is excellent video is because it is copiable. There are some amazing looking cyclone builds with mirror tier gears. That is not copiable and useless. This is actually very useful video than those useless eye candy build video.

Second character this league. Went from fully ascending (Phased Izaro!) before Kitava to T11 maps last night! Great build, Thank you! Most of what is holding me back... is me :) I'll get it straightened out. IS truly a pleasure, the moment I equipped Cyclone, it became effortless! I see most map bosses dying as fast as the mobs, can't even tell I am killing temple Architects, not even time to get my totem down or flask! Thanks for this! Just gotta fix my life (got greedy with damage) and I think I'm going to try molten shell, I don't like dropping endurance charges. Oh I am using Praxis, and it's gotta go :)

Impale cyc with foils is overpriced, but its the best phys cyc build so far Impale 2h cyc Champion: cheap, good dps but cant do phys ref mapa Impale 2h Slayer: cheap, better clearspeed and aoe, can do phys ref, less Boss damage

@@piotrrutkowski76 more phys dmg (not impale), 20% culling, massive leech. Slayer is strictly for dps, not so much for defenses. You could also do glad for max block and challenger charges, you'll be very fast and very tough, but you should really invest in a "The Surrender" shield to make the best of glad. Glad could also do some kind of off-meta bleed cyclone, and you wont need an explode chest, but I don't see many of those. Champion is really the best of both worlds. You're much tankier thanks to the taunting and fortify buffs, and you have the best impale buffs of any class so your dps will be solid. Truth be told the difference between 5mil and 50mil dps in maps won't be noticed. You're still going to one shot everything. Sirus 8 and the like will obviously die faster with more dps but you should really focus on defenses first and foremost. DPS is easy to get. I'm currently playing my champion as a facebreaker cyclone with rigwald's curse and that upgraded harbinger shield. Works very well, dps is super solid and the character is more than tanky enough. I don't use an explode chest and the clear still feels fine, but will obviously be better with one.

@@uxc-lol4185 slayer is my favorite, it have the ascendance that gives extra boss damage. it is cheap and can get you on end game. and every investment you made makes lots of difference, i change a hezmana axe with 430pDPS, for a fleshripper with 650pDPS, and man... it makes the bosses smelt. i'm actualy doing over 5m shapper DPS. btw, the fleshripper costs me 1.5ex.

Good old Cyclone Impale or BV Poison as a league starter? Never tryied the first, but thinking about why in harvest I haven't get half of the currency than in Dellirium although I am playing more I remembered how fucking fast BV Poisson maps with about 15 Ex budget (Asenath's Gentle Touch were like 13 Ex in 3.10 but when I checked them in Harvest were like 5 Ex). ED Contagion is not for me, this league I am mapping as fast, or even a bit slower than with BV, but I cannot boss at all, so the Atlas progression becomes a nuisance at some points.

Can you explain why you wouldn't take Martial Experience? I see that it doesn't have any crit based nodes, but it does give you +1.2% life leech and 54% damage increase on the short way around the node group. A great guide and really strong, At level 64 I was leveling very easily with 17 unallocated points ( I was saving them for when I swapped over to crit).

I managed to get an exlopy chest. Can you explain to me why my explosions look ... poor compared to yours? Whole mob groups explode in the video, And here's just a few next to me... i'm disapointed

My favorite build so far (and I’ve tried a ton). Currently knocking down content without any problems at level 85 doing t10 maps Question: why do u take agnostic in the skill tree? This one killed what was left of my mana and I had to back out of it

Starforge is worse than Terminus IMO because you lose frenzies and you lose crit.

thief's torment pretty much fixes your mana/health issues while leveling, in the notes of the PoB it says that you should RUN AS MANY AURAS AS YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY HANDLE WHILE KEEPING YOUR MANA SITUATION UNDER CONTROL. AURAS IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE ARE DREAD BANNER FLESH AND STONE + MAIM PRIDE BLOOD AND SAND the sword that big ducks recommended has a "+10 mana gained on killed" so you gotta check out how much mana do you actually use.. for example cyclone has a mana cost of 4, enduring cry has a mana cost of 18.. so you end up needing 22 mana gained per hit what you can do is get some "attack damage leeched as mana" in some of your items ooor get a mana leech support gem inside your cyclone setup thats what i found really helped it

also one thing i forgot to add, use mana leech support only as last resource, the synergy between the brutality + infused channeling + fortify + melee physical + impale with cyclone really gives you more dps

Great video. Question, those "Melee Strike Range" nodes in the skill tree that specifically says "Effects default attack range, NOT area of effect. Those actually do effect our cyclones AOE doesn't it? Because it's based off of strike range and weapon range. I'm assuming yes since you're picking it up, I just wanna make sure because I've always wondered.

I actually switched to Cyclone earlier than the leveling guide suggests, and it absolutely tears still. I just started playing this build yesterday, maybe about 1-2 hours and it's the fastest I've ever been able to progress through the pre-mapping part of the game, and I've played a couple Cyclone builds before.

Typically I just dont run phys reflect maps. They arent insanely common. If you're looking for immunity you can get it through a chest piece influence modifier or using the anti reflect ring + some nodes on the tree. Still suggest just skipping phys reflect.

impale WE + good weaponS (saviour + para, saviour + foil) can make this build look so much better. mana issues should be adressed with chest warlord mod. Cyclone build doesn't have a single target dps problem, unless you are using explo chest as a main source of your dmg (=dumb). Cyclone build doesn't have AoE problem, if you can clear TRASH mobs (any map tier) with sand stance (and use blood for bosses). Cyclone build can be really powerful and strong, with enough investment it can be scaled to absurd amounts of dmg.

Hey Big Ducks! This is the second build of yours that I made and I really enjoy it (the first being the Creeping Frost). I'm currently with a really decent gear with over 120% of all resistances and 4.6k HP on this Cyclone character and my problem is the bosses. I just can't stop dying to them. Some maps (t15+ or the elder ones), mainly the maps that have like 3 bosses at the end, It's just insanely stupid, i just keep getting hit kills almost instantaneously. I'm always trying to search boss mechanics to avoid this, but so far i'm really hating this game because of bossing. Would you have some tips to improve my gear or to solve my problem? With your CF build i've reached awakener 6 and sirus, but I gave up playing because of too many deaths to bosses, its just not fun to play. Keep up the good work, you're good at this!

you really only want like 80% all resists, if u use endurance charges. 4.6k hp is just way too low. lose some resists, get some more life. try stacking some defence layers like block, dodge, fortify with increased fortify effect, etc.. if all that doesnt work, then git gud :D

If you're using an abyssus, drop it. If you're using immortal call, change it with molten shell or steelskin till you get 6k life. Because you don't want to lose those endurance charges while having only 4.5k life. If you don't have fortify on at all times, you're probably not hitting enemies to proc it. You can switch to fortify ascendancy or link it to ancestral warchief to proc it from a distance. Cap the chaos resist. Make sure you have at least %1 life leech at all times. Try not to be too stingy with your flasks if the boss doesn't have some invulnerability phase, you will want to go balls deep to kill them before they kill you. And lastly, cyclone isn't suited for attrition type boss fights like all melee builds are. Make sure that when the boss is dead, you are always out of flask charges.

well, i did a slayer 2handed axe. its like you say, with hezmana 6l i clear all the game. with 2ex invest 2handed axe, the games almost fall under my feets. catarina, almost all bosses, just smelted. the point is, it works on any kind of investment.

Okay well from what big duck said the master of metal node gives you 20% more damage approximately. The headsman node from slayer does the same and more. Slayer also gives you aoe with impact and then you can get over leech or culling strike. So just on paper I think slayer seems like a better option. You do need to invest more in accuracy if you go slayer tho. Edit spelling

Cluster jewels, higher dps rare sword (ilvl 86+, buy either the 6L base and harvest craft it, or buy one with t1 phys and finish it with harvest), explode chest for QoL during maps, bottled faith, better rings, etc.

Just to expand on this, usually your build's passive tree will path near the +30 attribute nodes (str, dex, or int) and you can take one or more of them as required to reach stat requirements for your skill gems as they level/to equip certain gear pieces you need that your build will be lacking on. For example, most melee sword builds will use the Jewelled Foil type of sword as a final weapon, and those require a huge amount of Dexterity (212) that is not easy for Marauders, certain Duelists, or Templars to get. Later on, when you find better gear that gives you these base attributes, you can use an orb of regret and refund the +30 stat nodes and invest the point somewhere else. These stat nodes are on the passive tree to work as a temporary solution to solve attribute problems until you get better gear, essentially.

@@neolix9562 idk what you mean by that, i almost always get at least one ex before i reach maps, and i almost always get one before i reach yellow maps. if you start day one, exalts are like 20c, theyre not hard to buy, and its a worthy investment.

If you can get a better axe, absolutely. Reason for his sword choice is because he can get an Est for 5c that provides enough damage and frenzy charges. End game content on a budget. There's no reason to not use something else if you can make it better for your build.

You corrupt TE for Fortify and get a close combat support. It fully works withing the 15ft radius, you don't have to facesit on enemies. And you basicly get second brutality, because, well, you'll ride through enemies anyway.

Can't agree with you dude with 2ex investment for phys cyclone to start working. With 2ex investment u will have 4k hp and some basic crap gear like Terminus,Abyssus,Some crap 5 or 6 link armor with in best scenario 70+ hp and 90-100 total resistance(50-60c),Lions roar (about 30-35c in first days of the league with mid rolls), and so on. 20-25ex to start - yes,2ex - farming yellow maps and dying to 2x watchstone guardians every time. Also champ cyclone survivability is max mediocore,or even lower. Standart 75-76% resists,low hp regen(200-300,not counting enduring cry),HP pool - 5-5.5k usually.

I’ve been playing this for a few weeks(2H sword variant with crit) in SSF and it makes every other build feel terrible. Cyclone is that good. Unless they nerf it more I’m going cyclone forever from now lol. (I didn’t even bother with the taunt nodes. A vaal greatsword + war banner + precision + accuracy on various damage nodes should get you to 100% easy.)

The main reason for the taunt nodes is the damage reduction. When you eventually hit a wall and wonder why you keep getting one-shot sometimes, remember the taunt nodes!

Does anyone know how i could make this work for a league starter? i'm kind of a newbie and tried this with and without Thief's torment and it becomes immortal with it and glassy without it + i struggle with life and mana, mana could be easily solvable by using less auras but life is complicated, anyone knows a solution?

You can invest in some mana/life leech early on for sustain. There is a really nice leech cluster south and a little right of the duelist starting area.

Every build posted in this league is basically some random stuff with an explodey chest. When Harvest is over people will be experiencing a serious cold turkey in this regard. Because after this insane overuse of explodey chests GGG will almost certainly remove this again in 3.12

well as someone that plays cyclone since forever. you dont need a chest with the exploding shit on it. impale alone is so strong that you dont need it, you delet any trash mob and on bosses its useless anyway the only qol you wanna have is some aoe radius. this feels so much better. the only thing you need is the -15 mana cost of channeling skills. easy to gear easy to play. easy to find some exalted and farm sirius/any boss. Edit: note he uses a Cinderswallow wich does cost pretty much for "starter" and is not really needed. its just good to have.

@@Votexforxme Of course you don't need it. Not a single build in the game requires it, but why would you not have it.. It is literally amazing qol for clear speed and corpse destruction with ZERO impact on damage and zero correlation with whether or not I used a build guide. I also don't understand how it is part of the "retarded meta" First off its such a universal mod that can be used on practically any build and secondly explodey chests have not been a crucial part of any meta since they came out. It's like calling someone out for using blood rage to generate frenzy charges while mapping because that is too meta

@@mdsviridov there a VERY good reason not to use it. 1. Its useless against almost all bosses. 2. impale alone (not the video build) kills every enemy in a split second. there is no reason to buy a overpriced gear or craft for it. when you have no use on bosses (wich is you main focus), unless youre just a clear mapper leaving bosses but cyclone is a bad choice for that.

I feel cyclone is better with terminus if you scale more crit/crit multi this league. Way better results for not much more investment. Vaal moltenshell(instead of immortal call) + iron reflexes + abyssus scales your dmg for t16 oneshotting bosses with terminus without the massive abyssus drawback, you'd think you'll die... But you'll pretty much never die from melee unless you intentionally try to tank a slam. (you get 3k free armor from your acendancy alone if you go with ironreflexes.) Once you're getting closer to hit cap (you are playing terminus est which has a lot of acc base.) You switch to adrenaline(trigger with skitterbots + blood magic in a weapon swap, activate this before a boss fight like a conq and then warcry to get to full hp again, you literally reach stupid levels of damage for bossing.) and banner ascendancy for more acc and damage through a higher level precision. This way you keep the healthy budget build going, you're just as tanky with tons and tons of more damage. Ik ik "LOL ABYSSUS WILL GET U ONESHOT" but it really won't if you just follow those steps. Test it out please, you'll love killing conqs in a heart beat on a budget. For uber late game you can switch to a exquisite blade with high pdps for more crit multi and more pdps pref 750+ for almost double the dmg of terminus.

Thief's ring, phys damage as mana mod on ring / jewel or passive node. You could even anoint -mana cost of channel skills or get it on your chest. All else fails, socket blood magic.

Only if youre using resolute technique. if you want more potential damage, but higher investment, you go crit, and then accuracy becomes a very important stat, as critical hits check accuracy twice. generally, id advise going against crit for a league start for any attack based build because it is far more expensive, but it is worth it if you got teh time/money/standard league items for it.

It's pretty easy to craft your own explody chest with harvest and the physical modifier seeds. I believe big ducks has a guide on it too. If you need help I don't mind lending a hand

@@itsshow710 i always do the oppsite and try to craft everything myself:) just run low tier beachheadmaps, sell the ancientorbs in bulk (like 10+ or more) and try to upgrade harbinger pieces into infused beachheadmaps in your garden, that u can sell then for 1.5 ex aswel. i thought of it cause white beachhead maps are actually not too expensive or hard :) 4-5 ex for the awakener orb and like up to 1 ex on the bases. and some alts for rolling your 2 mods. that should be doable when u not waste too much currency in the meantime ( like i would ) :) if u dont know any of those stuff i can help u aswel. this league is perfect to learn for everybody and thats the reason it exists :)

As a casual it often makes sense to farm up currency instead of gambling. Some people burn thousands of alts and seed crafts without getting the explode mod anyway so the cost is tied to how lucky you are.

I will never understand why players with descent to huge currency stashes keep collecting trash of the ground like silver coins, blessed orbs, chaos orbs and such. Is it some sort of addiction or they just really enjoy wasting their time?
