Enjoyed this - I checked out the Billy Bob - cool. Will definitely need to consider. I was looking for something like this. Your videos are educational and fun! Your wife looks great! I am sure the twins are coming soon. Hoping delivery goes smoothly for everyone. Fun little "slamm'in thing at the end of your videos!

Great review. I love it. I bought the campmaid kit you reviewed but this would also come in handy. Thanks. Tony

Could you do a review on the nature hike sleeping bag or maybe something like it? It’s basically a super tiny and light sleeping bag. Thanks!

How long is the stake that goes in the ground?

Actually, that is a pretty cool setup.

Should try fruit parcels. Diced fruit wrapped in tin foil and a dash of whiskey and brown sugar. Heat up slightly until fruit juice is warm and then you a nice desert. A Scottish thing.

Ben. How long did you cook that steak for it to become nighttime? Lol
@lancelenoir28756 жыл бұрын
I graduated with Billy Bob. But I doubt he's the one who it's named after because it would have had Roll Tide stamped on it somewhere. And that would have been a breakfast you were cooking instead of dinner.

Something a boy scout troop could use to teach firecraft or cooking

Why does the grill slope too much but the other ones stay relatively level
@stevekitella4781 Жыл бұрын
Always use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness, 125f and let rest gives you perfect medium well, 120 med. rare
@LogicBob6 жыл бұрын
It would be cool if you could order an additional main pole/stake so you could leave one in the ground at home.
@livingsurvival6 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you could work something out with Jerry and get an additional one.
@Lapeerphoto6 жыл бұрын
It looks like about 3/4". A Steel Concrete-Form stake would probably work. You can get them as long as 3' from HD for around 7 bucks.

I can see the grill likes to slip a lot. Maybe a lock screw and re-engineering will perfect it, or a vise grip

At $110 for something I made out of scrap. Small diameter stake won't hold up weight in soft soil

I like it...but...why didn't they bend the bar at the edge of the grate so the grate sits flat?
@livingsurvival6 жыл бұрын
it's flat, but pounding in the stake without a level will throw it off. works either way though.
@joelbenoitthewanderingbiso49766 жыл бұрын
from video how can you tell it's not flat?
@randyyeager6 жыл бұрын
doesn't look flat to me...

I purchased a Billy Bob grill and it arrived today. The simplicity of the design was promising, but I am extremely disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship of this product. The cutting and welding is horribly done. Multiple broken welds, and gaps. It looks worse than a middle school trades class did it. Not to mention it arrived rusty like it's been sitting around for a while in the elements.
@livingsurvival5 жыл бұрын
Hand made, mines still working great.
@basicinfo55045 жыл бұрын
I understand hand made. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a minimum level of quality on something I spend $200 on. Broken welds and melted metal don't meet that standard. Glad your's still works great, mine is borderline unusable with the grilling surface unattached from crappy welding job.

Thanks for the vid I'm just going make mine at work though...gives me something to do
