@@factshunter187 Enjoyed all of it. Coach Red Pill has become more than a lolcow, he is lore. His videos and his advice are now a legacy passed onto his viewers. What I like most about him is that he looks exactly like the kind of person that would listen to a red pill "coach", after all, was Lira not the manager of a company called 'Echo Box Media?' Watching him self-destruct the way he did is going to be hard for any other youtuber to beat.

Hope you finish this series, it's amazing how he is being spun as this heroic boots on the ground journalist. People need to know the truth. How easy it is to manipulate people about Coach makes me question all news now. Also, I always felt it was a misstep for CRP to be relying on the USA to get him out of jail. Most americans have no idea how much we are disliked in much of the world and the US really doesn't care about citizens abroad unless you are wealthy or famous. Chile, like Ukraine, is a small country, and I think they would have maybe had more success getting him out and probably care more about their citizens, esp as Coach was from such an influential family.

I don’t know about some of the memes & sound FX in this video, but the investigative journalism and attention to detail here is incredible, subbed. This is what real journalism is, not posting demonstrable lies from the Kremlin such as “Ukraine killed 16,000 people in Donbas” like Gonzalo did. I wish I could give you my subs, you deserve them more, and should be the #1 source for info on this grifter. I’d like to see you do video on Ganzo’s criminal record like the wire fraud conviction, and maybe investigate videos on other western vatniks like Jackson Hinkle.

The youtuber Conor Clyne made a video called "Gonzalo Lira has a deathwish in Ukraine". I think what we've seen is not far from that. He said (I think) several times even before the war that he had some serious health problem that was potentially life threatening. Might have been lung cancer or "Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)". But he didn't cough much or at all in his videos pre-war, and even during the war he didn't couch suspiciously much either. Anyway, he was a fool to stay in Ukraine after the outbreak of the war. His ex-wife and kids are probably in the west part of the country. And as another youtuber recently stated - what "healthcare" is there to be had in Kharkiv since the Russians has probably bombed most of it? Why would the health centers in Kharkiv prioritize him in a time of war? He should have thought about all that before. Now he will become a martyr and "ad-hoc" icon of pro-russians and anti-westerners. In fact, he already is one. I'm not happy that he died (and we still don't have proof of that) but ultimately he was responsible for his own situation. Not much more to say.

It was part of his patreon grift. He has been telling people since before covid he only had a year or two to live. No details on the illness. But he kept going, smoking, riding a motorcycle, looking healthy, not losing weight or becoming friail, etc etc.
@son193
@son193 4 ай бұрын
@@gauloise6442 Clearly it wasn't a grift if he died of the illness he said he would die of, don't you see that? We never knew what he was dying of, but it seems like he suffered from a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) that would swell and the pneumonia (most likely COVID) was enough to kill him. Constant smoking doesn't help either when you literally have a collapsed lung. He also started to gain excessive weight starting 2020 when he was in fact quite thin in 2019 and the fact that he had oedema would explain why he gained weight since it was most likely fluid retention. His hair also began to be thinning in 2020 around the same time as his weight gain, which I doubt was a total coincidence and probably due to worsening health. Even back in 2018 he would often say he's making his videos as a legacy for his children as he didn't seem to think he would be alive by the time they would be grown up and in need of that kind of advice. He went through a midlife crisis in 2020 perhaps because he found out he was dying, so he ended up neglecting his appearance, bought a motorcycle and skydived (and injured himself in the process). It seems like he was either manic or hypomanic at this time period. This could have been due to quarantine fatigue, but I think it's likely more due to his illness. Once the war started, he may have thought world war was inevitable and thought his own demise due to illness would coincide with the demise of the entire world as well. He might have developed a messiah complex around this time. It didn't help that Russian news actually took him seriously and frequently reported about him, convincing him even more of his own self-importance. The arrests made him develop what seemed to be untreated paranoid schizotypy, which is a step away from schizophrenia. I don't know if he ended up becoming psychotic, but he very well could have been in the time we didn't hear from him. Furthermore, he was a narcissist who never admits he was wrong (he was ironically the exact thing he criticised Nassim Nicholas Taleb in what I suspect was projection) and the fact he was so clearly wrong about Ukraine losing within a few weeks after 2 years of war made him so embarrassed that he only began to double down. I doubt he ever was a Russia supporter. He was a typical anti-woke Republican. He became a Russia supporter out of refusal to admit he was wrong. And he once said in that Taleb video, "arrogance kills everybody." In the end he became so arrogant that it ended up killing him. That's what I choose to believe.

I'm about three quarters way through this video so I don't know if you cover this, but in one of his earlier videos, Coach Red Pill mentions that he was suspended from Dartmouth for a year because of something he did to a woman. I don't remember the exact allegations, but he denied any type of abuse/violence in his video (which, I believed was filmed in London with the yellow, blue and red background art). At the time that I watched ~ circa 2018 ~ I gave him the benefit of the doubt - that this woman who accused him was a liar, etc. Now, I've revised my view on the situation and I believe she told the truth. I would love to speak with Gonzalo Lira's Ukranian (ex) wife. She can truly tell you the type of person he was. So sad that most of his facade was a scam. With tat said, he did make some good points, especially in his earlier videos. But, ultimately, I believe he was a scammer. Thanks for this deep dive and all the best to you. Edit: Thank you for covering this. I really do believe he s$xually assaulted this woman, although this is my gut reaction based on the lengthy article he wrote. This is a gut feeling on my part and I have no proof to back this up. I would love to speak with his Ukrainian ex wife. She knows the true story. IMO, this guy is a farce.

Well that alleged assault was in the early 90s so it's definitely prescribed by now. With todays woke standards it's considered rape to put your hand on someones butt. Things were a bit different pre-2000s. Maybe he tried to kiss her or something, which I think he said was the allegation, but seriously? We'll never know what actually happened so it's all speculation. If there are some people who were there, 30+ years ago, they haven't come forward to talk about it and give testimony. My belief is that he didn't do anything that serious. People do stupid sexual shit all the time when they're drunk for example. If touching someones butt with your hand is rape, then what is a real rape?

His wife left him many years ago. The simple fact that she never appeared in court to advocate for him it shows that she wanted nothing to do with him. He couldn’t take criticism and had no respect for the craft, therefore he couldn’t get better with his prose the way successful writers do. It’d be like a bourgeoning actor going to Stella Adler or Lee Strasberg’s workshops and declaring they know better than them. Lira is a textbook narcissist whose grandiose ego prevented his personal growth. He may also have been on the spectrum, he had a nephew in Chile with autism (which Gonzalo was charged with beating, BTW). If that was his sister’s kid, I’m more interested in what she has to say about him than his father.

Well, if we consider how a true journalist operates, focusing on ethics, morality, and the honest, objective reporting of what they witness, It's not something you can claim our own press engages in nowadays. Gonzalo always changed his opinion if he realized he was mistaken, backed by evidence and logical reasoning-a trait that is rare for many. He wasn't "on anyone's side" or loyal to any "team." His goal was to describe the reality he found himself in as logically as possible. Being true to himself, others trusted him. He wasn't seeking to build trust capital but spoke to the audience in the same way you talk to someone you know. It's always easier to be an open-minded and spontaneous person for those who are honest. They don't need to think about what to say or remember what they said before. The reason Gonzalo stayed "too long" was that he wanted to be close to his children. They meant everything to him. A single call from his own government, whose job it is to protect its citizens in distress abroad, is all that was needed, but they simply didn't want him to survive. Loyalty to the nation all the time; loyalty to the government when it deserves it. -Mark Twain

You do great works Facts hunter, CRP was a jerk, but he also did some respectable work, which is overshadowed by him screwing a lot of decent people over. It's sad that he never out grow his ego. Just don't let your self righteousness turn you into one and ruin all your hard work Facts Hunter.

@yandayixia I understand and thanks for the advice. The ego is a simple thing that can ruin someone's life. I'm not proud to say it, but I've made that mistake before. Thanks again. 😇

This isn't something to get torn over. It's either one or the other. If he screwed over lots of decent people, then that cancels out his "respectable work."

@@davidthevoyagerI used to think the same way my friend. But now I firmly believe every person is a million shade of grey, and should be judged for their flaws, and remember for their contribution equally.

@@yandayixia No, that would be excusing fraud and stealing money. Once you do that, you're through. You won't be remembered for your contribution, only for being a lying sack of horse manure.

The Wilshire Blvd Curse. Bad times befall all who read the book. Nick Rekieta becomes lolcow of the year, JF becomes the main suspect in the alleged murder of his wife and CRP dies as a political prisoner in a Ukrainian jail. Now it is just Godwinson and PPP left.
