@@fluidfix it's the least I could do, without this video I'd be lost. Customer care told me I can either try to renew the factory settings or to send the laptop to have it fixed by them, since I have the latest version of the driver 🤦‍♀️

What is unacceptable by me is exactly this approach by big corporations and they are able to get away with it - they even are proud of so called customer support! Ridicules a specially when small business is being held to completely different standards than them. This world is going crazy!

Hi. I use adobe but on my pc not on this and to be honest I did not try it. This fixed the issue with screenpad+ completely so I see no reason this control panel would not work after that. Hope that helps.

Hi I would try to back-roll the update first as it might be easier and if it will work you will know not to install it. Only then I would do this as it is more time consuming. Hope you can fix it

I was about to do a full re-install of windows 11 but then saw your comment. I was getting so frustrated that my 2 hour old laptop screen wasn't working. Just had to turn it on. lol

Hi. Thank you for reaching out as it tells me you felt like you could and that is important. First I would try to re calibrate touch, and there is a video on that I think somewhere if not then probably they have it in user manual or on Microsoft pages. Then if that wont work I would uninstall the driver and re instal it and if that fails and it is always in the same place then I would say 90% touch failed 10% screen cable or connector that carries this data. Hope that helps. Take it to store you purchased it from and describe what you did so far and that they have to replace it. Stay safe and positive.

I have a new ux8402 and it came out of the box not working. All the troubleshooting didn't work. But this worked! It failed the first time when I chose to keep apps, but doing a fresh install did the trick!

Hi. If I understood you correctly after you perform second shut down it works and shuts down properly without backlight on pad+. If that is the case then it looks to me like a software issue - something is stopping and holding on to backlight (Like a software that you installed is still running.) If it was hardware then it would be constant and you would not be able to get backlight to turn off. Knowing that please remind yourself what software did you install right before you noticed that issue - then uninstall this software - follow the steps in my video to instal windows fresh and it should be back to normal.

omg, always the real answer is in the comments. disabling ASUS ScreenXpert service and rebooting fixed it for me. windows reinstall made no difference.

ok. Can you see backlight initiating with start-up on screen pad or no backlight present? did you try uninstalling from device manager screen pad drivers and reinstalling them? What did you do last when it worked? Installed something new? Firstly I would do I bios reset then if that wont help You can try UEFI upgrade but do both of them things only if you know what you are doing as if you fail you brick your laptop and will need professional help.

Just send it in and ask for exchange you are covered with normal consumer protection.

Hi. Thank you for reaching out. Is you unit exactly same model as mine? Do you see Screenpad plus initialising? It is when it is switched off (laptop) then the screen is just empty black when you press power button you will see it slightly changing the shade of black - but that must be when you press power button. If you can please try again paying attention to every step and doing it exactly like I did. This will help if it is same issue if it is not then it wont. Did you try reinstalling driver for the screenpad first? It is very hard to diagnose anything over internet like that so if those methods wont help I cant really help you further my friend as I would have to have it Infront of me to fiddle with it. I really hope you can get it to work.

Try shining a flashlight into it at an angle and closely looking for image of anything that should be the like a bar on the left etc as it looks like touch is recognised by system and works but there is no picture or backlight. I would do that first if I see picture then I know backlight issue if not then I know that connector might have unplug (if I bumped it or something) or the screen just gave up but before I would do that I would check on that screen on you video what happens if I press on no 2 screen will it com up as screenpad? Even if it would I would reinstall driver - look for KZfaq videos about how to, then see if no luck then attempt my method again and then if no luck Bios update (you should only do it if you know how I take no responsibility and I have no video about it to show you ), next in line would be copy all data then fresh install, and if no luck then it must be hardware issue. I cant help you anymore than I did now. I wish you good luck my friend and I do hope you can fix it. Stay safe.

Those should not take up so much from the start. some of mine are 0 to 29 mb and some I don't even have closest is manager at 160mb but i have many things running atm. I would not waste time and perform what I show in this video to eliminate those issues. Remember that you need to have some knowledge to do it and I think you do but be sure you do before you start. I understand you have windows 11 so this should be a breeze tbh I just did that on my pc as it did have some issues and it worked a charm. Hope that helps - get back and let me know. Stay safe.

Did you try to restart your unit not switch off then on a proper restart of all applications - it just occurred to me that I simply assumed you did but idk to be honest so please try doing that as it might help.

I just realised you said it is NOT BOOTING! Have you got any signs of life? Did your battery died? did you try to connect it to charger? is your charger working? did you install anything last time you use it? was it behaving different when you used it last?

@@fluidfix everything is doing great but my system is not booting and it got stuck in the starting page it self

create install media on usb for windows 11 then go in to uefi and set it up to boot from usb, then restart your system, let it boot from usb. go to repair start-up and let it do its thing that should help

Screenpad + did not work at all no matter what I did like in bio, and this fixed as this is the way to install windows fully without loosing all software and settings. Merry Christmas

@@warrenlee6847 Hmm... I don't think they consider this an issue - I did not check TBH as this fixed my issue and it never came back. So no I have no clue.
