13 Google Business Profile Optimization Tips To Rank Higher

Google My Business is the best marketing opportunity for small business. In this video we're going to break down 13 Google My Business tips to optimize your listing that will help get your business to the top of Google.

When you make Product Google Posts, they will appear in GMB under the “Products” tab in mobile.
11:47 6. Optimize Google My Business Description
Utilize all characters. Include keywords (words and phrases your customers are searching for) that you would want to show for in Google.
13:32 7. Fill Out Your Attributes (and monitor)
Display information about your business in GMB Listing. Google is changing all the time so it’s good to check in every few months.
15:51 8. Review Google My Business Insights (Analytics) to compare amount of photos with competitors
Keep adding photos and encouraging customers to add photos until you’re 10x’ing your competitors!
18:44 9. Download Google My Business App

20:58 10. Upload Videos
Both professional and authentic videos!
23:52 11. Add Secondary Categories
Determine if your business could use Secondary Categories to tell Google additional information about your business.
26:45 12. Study Your Insight Queries
Little more advanced. See what type of searches your business is showing for. Type those into Google, see where you rank in the local 3 pack. Make posts about these keywords.
30:32 13. Turn On Messaging (AKA Chat)
This will fill out your Listing more on Google. And allow customers to message you throughs yours (or another employees) cell phone.

I started Using the Cartoon Name Captain America when I was doing Karate while in the Navy 50 years ago. I chose that as my fighting name because, he had no special abnormal skills (at least then). The simplest of Super Hero's. My GMB is Cadillac Sales in CNY. Take a look.

That's true, I've never thought of it like that. Personally, Wolverine is my favorite. Nice business! #1 and easiest tip is to just keep uploading pics of those happy customers with their beautiful cars. Upload as often as you can!

Since I am trying to make the site Phone friendly I am really concerned about too much content. What I am doing is deleting and replacing those pictures every week or so. I am thinking that it might be better to even use them as a Post, then Google will pull them down automatically, keeping content fresh.

@@CaptAmerica12 I would say yes to re-using the photos as Posts, including text for more context is a great idea. Regarding the Photo upload, you want to add as many photos as possible. Google My Business's Photo algorithm will show your best photos at the top based off what people click on the most. Right now, when I go to your Photos idk if you only made 5 car sales or 500. Because you're only showing a few happy customers. Adding photos of all your happy customers will blow away potential customers with your success, and they will think, "I want to do business with him!"

@@BlakeStockton here's a question that you didn't really cover. We do not have a fixed address, rather an area we work in. Because of that we cannot get a link from WhiteSpark. Not a big deal, but wondering, are we better off sticking to one area, posting our address or keeping it more general, over the area we work in. You can have a look at our listing to see what I mean, thanks.

Hey Chromer (which is a cool name btw), in regards to the Review Link, check out the directions under the numbered directions in White Spark: whitespark.ca/google-review-link-generator/ There is a work around for service areas. FYI, the Google link shortener is shut down. You can use bitly.com instead. In regards to the biz address showing or being hidden. It is better to show the address. By better, I mean that it is easier to rank in the Google Local 3 Pack with an address than without an address. Hope that helps :)

Having listen to your great content from start to finish I can verify you know your stuff regarding google business etc. Some conservative criticism which may effect people even clicking on this video is your image for the video. Infeel it puts you in the category of the 80 % of chancers out there pretending they know stuff & add f all value in their content. Just food for thought - first impression & all that.
