The next couple of episodes are great. I think MD does a great job at establishing the miracle in the first 4 episodes, and setting up the new team. But from here on, things get pretty damn dark.

Danes story line is a joke. I understand what they were going for but they went to such an extreme to make Danes the most disgusting human being in the show at that moment, any attempt at making him seem likeable after Miracle day was just hilarious and 100% disrespectful to that poor little girl and her family.

"Torchwood: Miracle Day" suffers from the same writing problems as Doctor Who did when Davies was in charge. The entire story "arc" is just filler, except for the final two episodes, where you suddenly have everything revealed, with things that were never known, barely remotely referenced, and absolutely never hinted. There aren't even subtle clues for you to notice on a second viewing once you know what's happening. It's as if the writers are just having their fun with various mini-stories until the end, when they're suddenly like "Oh, shit! We need to wrap this thing up, because the season is ending! Quick, we need explanations and a solution!"
