We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version kzfaq.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

We were deciding between local video storage on the sync 2 module vs cloud storage with subscription plan and went with cloud storage. The main reason why is that if someone breaks into your home and sees your cameras they can steal or destroy your sync 2 module if they find it and then your video clips are gone. But if the clips are automatically uploaded to cloud then there's no way they can destroy the video even if they destroy the cameras and sync 2 module.

HELP RYAN! My doorbell is to the left of our front door., barely shoulder height, if I hard-wire it, won't I lose much of a view looking at the guest's left shoulder? I got two of the extra cameras so that will be enough view, is there any benefit I lose by not hard wiring it besides the "home" camera not having a good view? If so, I'm fine with mounting it to the door frame. I'm a disabled dad so sitting through 20 vids isnt an option, thanks Ry

You can hear an electrical noise during the videos, even if the surrounding area is completely silent. This happens with both cameras and on Echo Show and Cube. It's not usable like that.

These are non rechargeable batteries

Rechargeable batteries are not ideal for long-term, low drain. A single charge does not last long.

To save battery life you want to set up motion detection on the cameras through the blink app. That way it only records video if it detects motion.

No it doesn't because when the power goes out your internet service will go put as well.

In a nutshell: subscription lets you live view AND record at the same time. The module/usb without subscription allows live view but does NOT record at the same time. I’m sure there are other minor differences however this is usually the deal maker or breaker for most people.

When I scan the QR code it shows a suzuki gearbox !!! also I can't identify which of the many numbers is the serial Number also you didn't show how to fit the mounts to the cameras

A single sync 2 module can handle up to 10 cameras. It serves as the link between the cameras and your local WiFi and internet.

Probably for the subscription of $3 a month for keeping files on cloud. It tries to automatically start it.

Best investment I ever made. I have them internally and externally in both of my homes. Having the ability to always be connected and see what is happening is such a piece of mind. We had a break in a couple of years ago and we saw the burglars jumping into the property before the security system alarm went off. Highly recommend it.

Don't buy these cameras. Amazon has no problem pulling a bait and switch by removing features. They made my cameras useless unless I pay for a subscription fee, which wasn't a thing when I bought the cameras. Or I can buy the new sync module, so store video locally. The sync module 1 has the same USB port to back up on, but Amazon makes you buy the new version. They'll do it again, I'm warning you. The cameras are also not that reliable. They go offline for no reason sometimes.

It doesn't work. I have it and I'm sending it back. I added the sync module first. That went fine. No other cameras will add. I selected the correct camera on the list. Scanned the code. And it just errors out. I have uninstalled everything and started over 3 times. What's the secret to make this work? I can't imagine it being difficult. But none of my outdoor cameras are able to be scanned and found.

JUst got one . The app is ok and zones are ok . The night vision is awful. Cannot recognise face from 3 meters away . Day is fine but if you have an intruder at night good luck with it is useless. Invest in 8 mpx camera with night vision. I have old Reaolink 4 mpx cameras and they are perfect at night but WIFI is not so good as Blink and Tapo for example. If you like to use power cable instead battery which i prefer by Blink instructions says if you remove the silicone to plug USB cable this will distract the waterproof which is odd. I want to fix the camera higher and not low someone to steal it and no need to claim with latter to change battery. If I am away and battery gone then no used of it.

Grateful for your making this as I'm trying to make sure the Blink is right for me, but, dude, why oh why do you show _yourself_ talking throughout the whole dang video? A voice over would do the job and then we could see the product, which is why we are here. Also, for a camera, the image is the most important factor. There was just like one short clip off to the side.

This brand new blink outdoor system came with ZERO instructions and absolutely no indication on the box about 'connecting to a phone'. When you said you just select something on your phone.....what in the world are you talking about? I hope this video gets more clear as we go......

Not the greatest but it should work. I did get a message about a 30 Day "Trial Subscription" has been activated. This guy said nothing about that. As Peter Breitenmoser noted below-there are lots of KZfaqr sales people though, like this guy, they keep it on the down-low until the end. We'll see.............

Don’t waste your money on this Blink garbage system! I’ve had it for about two years and have on and off issues with it and calling in Blink’s technicians is a joke can’t understand most of them and it sounds like they’re reading out of a book trying to figure it out as well!
