Cindy was in the movie. When he went to London, there was a white woman in the background while he was on the phone with Rita. His children did not leave her out. They just did not make her place prominent in the movie. That was all she deserved. The movie was about his music and not his women. Who cares about her feelings. At the end of the day, she decided to have an affair with a married man. She deserves no recognition.

Growing up in my island home (not JA), I was well aware of the musical legacy of Bob Marley and clearly remember at the age of 5yrs hearing of his death. So like many, I couldn't wait to see the movie after seeing all the publicity. As a mother and divorced woman, the movie and You Tube stories intrigued me to learn more about Rita and her story. I saw the movie Friday 16th and purchased her book the next evening. I just finished the book and I all I can say is WOW - the heart and love of a woman ❤! Rita Marley is a phenomenal woman - A true Queen! God Bless her and shield her from all evil and negativity! And as Bob would say “who Jah bless, no men curse”!

Clapton who was very popular at the time, also gave Bob a lot of props in the media helping him to gain popularity. When Bob met Cindy it's not like she was rich or anything like that ... she was working at a night club and Bob financed her trip to the Miss World pageant, put money into her Craft Company and bought her a house. She on the other hand gave him a place in higher society and lots of publicity in the international news after she won Miss World. It seems as if he had a special love for her. All the ray ray about her relationship with Marley yet 4 months after he passed she got married to Senator Tom Tavares Finson. Where was the morning there? If you want to know more there are 2 books written one by Rita Marley herself and the other by Bob's Manager, Don Taylor called Marley and Me.

Social media comments recently on Instagram about Cindy are just horrible. What's done is done but the comments are disturbing. I truly loved the documentary movie from 2012 'Marley'. I remember the various interviews & Cindy's was just gut wrenching. I believe she truly, truly loved him & respected him.

the movie not only neglected Cindy but ignored the importance that his bredrin had on him, the reasoning etc. It was only slightly addressed but these men in my opinion were way more important than any of his women, Rita and Cindy included. I wanted to love this movie but kind of feel it lacked a lot and was more about promoting Rita as his main muse when she was a part of it but not all of it. Just my opinion. Bob was just too big for this movie

At the end of the day, Cindy was side chick… She has to respect Rita and play her position. If the shoe was on the other foot she would want the side chick to play her position.

The movie did not go in depth into all Bob Marley’s life.. So leave all those extras out. If they mention Cindy they will have to open a can of worms. It people want to know more go and research his life.. People always want cofusion.

Cindy is charismatic, Bob is charismatic...and Junior Gong get his charisma from both sides.

I love how so many people in the comments blame Cindy for the affair, and also act like they know how Bob Marley felt about Cindy. At the end of the day, it was Bob who CHOSE to have affairs and it was Rita who CHOSE to stay married to him anyway, facts. Also I'd wager that Cindy was more than a side chick and more like a girlfriend than someone insignificant. And maybe a couple of other women were more significant to him than we'd assume. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Judging from the comments it seems like the general consensus is the affair was all Cindy’a fault and Bob was an innocent bystander. Am I missing something?

Actually let me fix my statement marriage does have a meaning if you marry and the man is a success. Marriage is about assets and generational wealth. So you eaither have the man who intentionally sets up a woman and their child/ren with a legacy or woman gambles and wins with a potential man but still if she doesnt get married thats not a testiment of not gaining exclusive love and commitment from a man.
