Every time I go outside and look around, I see trees and bushes, and lakes and rivers that makes me think of Bob. I sometimes think that God gives him the sky and land for a canvas to paint those beautiful clouds, trees, bushes, and water. I am sure it makes him very happy.

Ross's life truly was cut short. He was an angel. I wish he was still alive so he could've seen how his legacy has continued. I would've loved to meet him. He seems like such a nice man.

I love this man....he is a magnificent soul, and his love for innocent animals is tremendous. Bob is one of a kind. No wonder people go to sleep LISTENING to his program...lol.... His kind voice is relaxing, and anxiety/stress relieving. So sad what happened. I wish he could have lived "HAPPILY" forever. Les King the painting yeah but he didn't record before, he just practiced. So whatever mistake he made on camera, it was made. I like that. He actually made 3 copies, 1 before during and after. After being for the photographer to take close up pictures of it lol

I think painting on wood would give you much more control than on a canvas.

StringStorm ‌ control? Not really. Control is in the brush sizes and such. The canvas just changes the effect of the paint. On wood its actually a struggle because it soaks up the paint and gives it less effect

This wet on wet oil painting looks a lot easier than other forms of art. As someone who can't draw, trying portraits or water colour or anything like that is pointless, but this looks manageable.

Hi everyone! A little help over here, please? I am happy I received, as a Mother's day gift, a painting kit! So, I already have my paint, brushes, a few knives, liquid white, canvases, easel, and a palette. I still need to get me odorless paint thinner, is there anything else I am missing before I start??? Something sturdy to beat the devil out of your brush. Can't forget that. That's is where you let out all of your anger and frustration. Plus you get to spray to whole living room with the paint so your husband would get upset at you.

A knife doesn't hurt, nor do a few throw-away towels. Ross explains how he cleans his brushes in a video by buying a small waste basket, placing a wire basket or stand of sorts inside, adds paint thinner and scrapes it inside. He then beats the brushes (optional), though just running them under water works too, but I recommend buying paint thinner. Other than that, I believe you're ready to begin. Good luck, look at the world, and best wishes..!

Oh, and yes he always uses a gesso on his canvases. Though there are different colours, so try experimenting. However, be wary of clear gesso; some brands will stay wet for extended periods of time and may distort your painting slightly. But, that's all trial and error.

at 21:11 you can see that bobs brush is repaired with some duct tape. wonder how many painting that brush saw.

In another video he said that he covers the metal part of a brush with tape to keep it from reflecting into the camera.
