As basketball player, I’m used to being the least aesthetically pleasing, in terms of pure muscle size, at the gym, so it’s nice to see bodybuilders exposing themselves to areas they’re not as proficient in, like speed and agility, for a change. 😂 My man Obi was looking like a baby deer first learning how to walk on those ladder drills. All and all, Great video.

@Teringventje being able to dunk a basketball is sorta genetic. The whole point of that statement was virtually nobody wants a Black man whom can't move fast with a ball in his hand nor isn't musically inclined. 🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

A lot of people vastly underestimate how difficult actual sprints are. I'm glad that was one of the first things he said, that sprints are a completely different animal from other "sprints" and that's why most team sports athletes are so lean, because they have to move fast. They may not have as much pure strength as a bodybuilder, but they usually have 70-80% of the strength but with vastly more speed, making them way more powerful. Hence the difference between visually in shape, and track/basketball/football/rugby etc shape.

There are some elite sprinters that look like bodybuilders 😂
@dbstewart86
@dbstewart86 4 жыл бұрын
@@user-ki4xw2rb8q there is no elite sprinter that is as big or heavy as a bodybuilder relative to their height. They're lean like how a bodybuilder looks when they cut down, but they absolutely are not that size. Even the greatest sprinter and tallest one Bolt ran at a weight of under 210 at 6'5"; a bodybuilder that size would weigh 250-260 easy.

dbstewart86 strength is time under tension and that is straight strength training. But so is body building, powerlifting etc. it’s just a different kind of strength. I wouldn’t say one is stronger than the other, just in a different way. But I promise pound for pound, his legs are stronger than a marathon runners or a sprinters.

You can always look super smart if you compare to someone who's never done it.
