I can not tell you how happy I am that I saw this video. I get so tired of people trying to make bodybuilding so confusing and intimidating to people. It really is exactly what you say, eat small meals throughout the day, eat clean, cheat once a week, drink water, train hard, set goals, and monitor your progress. Thank you for not trying to sugar coat the amount of work that goes into building a 'bodybuilder' physique. This was incredibly refreshing.

+Flamur Ihp Yes but it can be done pretty cheap too. Tuna on can, oatmeal, frozen chickenbreast, rice, eggs. These foods are all cheap. It will still cost you more than what an regular person spends on food, but not that much more and it's worth it :)

Appreciate this video and in my limited experience, I tend to agree that real food is the best thing. Keeping a clean diet is the key. Bodybuilding is not just about having big muscles, but it's also a state of mind. It's about health on all levels and connecting your mind with your body on an implicit level. In order to do that, you've got to have a clear head about yourself, because you're going to have to welcome the pain. High quality food is the only way to withstand those grueling work outs in my opinion.

The most difficult part of bodybuilding is eating. I can only eat six times a day and literally have to force myself into eating. But if you want to be 268 pounds at 10 percent body fat, like me, then whatever it takes. You have to be hungry to achieve your goal, pun intended, hah! I still can’t really explain this but in my 40’s, I said fuck it, I wanna get up to 270 (natural), I’m 6’-3”. I ate dozens of chicken wings, Chinese food feasts twice a week, beef, GOMAD, just going nuts and have myself like two months. I also trained 5-7 times per week heavy. I fucking LOST WEIGHT and my personal training clients proved I wasn’t crazy because they all complimented me on getting leaner! Frustrating in a way but also a real eye opener

I'm a really big dude so I can carry a high body fat percentage and not "look fat" to your average yutz in the street but by bodybuilding standards I'm a regular Beluga whale in a wife beater right now. So about a month ago I went on a ketogenic diet to lean the fuck out . So far I've dropped from 280 to 263 with moderate impact cardio twice a week with low volume/ high frequency heavy weight training and I've not lost any strength. I had relatively little trouble with the sudden absence of carbs in my diet and I sailed into ketosis in just a few days. It's clear my metabolism does well on this diet. So well in fact I may just stay on it permanently. Once I get close to where I want to be lean wise I'll re-evaluate my physique and decide what needs to be built up. I'm not going for any particular weight nor am I going for contest prep ripped. I just want to see my abs and obliques again. So far as ab work goes I'm not doing shit with them until I'm lean enough to see what in the hell they're doing. My abs tend to bulge out quite a bit if I train them to much and when they're hidden under a layer of blubber as mine are now I just look pregnant. Seriously not the aesthetic look I'm going for.
