People seem to have a really tough time understanding that the innovation here isn't just "Hey, I made a tiny house for cheap." It's the assembly-line mass production and shipping process applied to housing. Once that is in place and working well, you can make small houses or big houses by adding modular units. Boxabl isn't a tiny home business. It's a business for mass production of housing, and the implications of that are staggering.

@@rozinant1237 Because you can't ship them for any reasonable cost. If you build a modular house and it costs me half again the cost of the house to get it to me, I'm not going to buy it. Boxabl shipping is reasonable, especially once they get factories all over. Within 1000 miles it already is. Also, assembly lines can be reworked so that it's not one particular design, just like a car assembly line can make different kinds of cars. All of that is true for Boxabl and not for existing manufactured homes.

@@rozinant1237 Sure, if you want to go from Las Vegas to New York, it'll cost a lot. But that's not the plan. Price it as Las Vegas to L.A., let's see that number. The simple economics of it are that if you have a modular home on a specialized truck with a couple of follow vehicles, that costs much more than towing with a sturdy pickup truck.

@@rozinant1237 Shipping is an issue. You will not find a photo of these being shipped on anything but a $15 per mile "Double Drop Lowboy" heavy equipment trailer, behind a semi-truck with WIDE LOAD signs on the front and back. These types of trailers are in short supply. The homes are too tall (12') when packed up. They only fit on one type of trailer. The father and son running the show have zero experience in anything but filing patents on luggage and cosmetic cases and licensing the patents, along with running a cannabis operation (illegally). For the people on here hyping the company, in order for your $200 investment to turn into $800, the company will have to be legitimately worth $13bl dollars with actual revenue. The two owners came up with the valuation, real investors laughed at it so they turned to crowdfunding and are hyping this thing to the moon. They even went so far as releasing a video of a Tesla towing one on a small trailer, which will never happen. There is a big difference between a first and last lease payment on an empty building shell and a "Megafactory".

Agree 100% with Asher! ✅ Since we’re spit balling… Hope #elonmusk gets free of “old has been twitter” so he can scale this baby aaalll the way to Mars!!! In my opinion…Whatever archetype/ ‘s that can bring this to the billion dollar mega factory. It’ll have to be someone who is thinking humanitarian in three part…Practical, sustainable, and badass..Not many are rich enough to afford this business model…so for that, most of us are out by default. But nonetheless on the bright, what brings most change in the world is collective drivers & riders… Go #BOXBL!!! Stay encouraged and sending good vibes to all :))

He evaded the questions surrounding utilities infrastructure. As a builder, land has to be developed for power, water, and sewage before you can place a dwelling on top of it. Not to mention the cost of zoning and permits. Who is the real target audience? I can see the federal government and military applications, but the general consumer will be better off just buying a tiny home from a builder like Lennar.

There's another huge benefit to Boxabl's factory process that I haven't seen named, but is incredibly important. On-site construction is INCREDIBLY DISRUPTIVE. A remodel or new ADU or home can mean six months of intense noise, of trucks coming and going, porta potties on site, the family the pets the neighborhood all trying to cope. To remove all that and just pour a slab and drop down a house is of immense value.

The opportunity cost of waiting for something to be built goes down dramatically, too. It can make biz ventures esp more viable at the outset by reducing the upfront time to build.

The Founders have the skillset to pull this off. They execute and produce results on or before timeline. They market and fundraise excellently. They innovate relentlessly and learn quickly from mistakes. This skillet package is not common. They’re not just a couple of guys with a cool idea and maybe a prototype.

Not that transparent when it came to the reason for the nebulous pricing. The real reason is that they have a waiting list, so they can jack up the price. It's not because of inflation.

Like I told my friend months ago, DON'T COUNT BOXABL OUT! Wait until this third factory is built and people make the common sense decision that it is better to have a Boxabl in their backyard over an entry level luxury car in their driveway.

We recently completed our first order; 156 units for the US government. We are now awaiting regulatory approvals so that we can begin to sell to the general public. Once we receive the approvals needed, we will reach out with next steps.
