NJ got a huge amount to special treatment and Hybe practicly catered to them. BTS didn't get a huge penthouse appt or large sums of money upfront. They worked there asses off for everything they got. They had to come up with ways to get themselves seen and to build up interest in them. As adults, they know the value of working hard and conviction to further themselves. This is absolutely, not the case with NJ. MHJ expects Hybe to do everything for NJ. NJ needs to learn how to actually work for what they want and work for their achievements.

Not just BTS, do a boy of the other Hybe artists get what NJ’s get. I’m thinking TXT, Enhypen, Lesserrafim, Illit etc I don’t remember the, getting plush apartments and 3million pay packets.

@snowleopard8588 you are so right. Engenes remember Enhypen all sharing 1 bedroom during their debut. After that they had roommates and even drew straws to see who would get the only tiny single room. They are always so surprised and grateful when senior members from other labels offer advice or acknowledge them. They are busy trying to improve and grow as artists. Maybe having all this plush entitles treatment is doing more harm than good to New Jeans. Struggle is part of what makes a good artist great. I feel sorry for the girls. It might look like they have it good but at what cost. They are being mentored by a person bent on controlling them. When this is over, they are in for a lot of harsh realities.

@@lindas5511 The sharing of rooms/apartments is normal in Idol groups. It's supposed to foster closeness. (some labels also don't have money or don't want to spend money on the artists...) Sometimes it works and sometimes it creates more problems. 2 a room is pretty normal. But with BTS it worked pretty well to put them in one room so at least for a time putting their other groups also in one (bigger than BTS) room can be helpful. (I think they are also watching how their mental health reacts to that and may change it if the impact is too negative) I think Soobin was interviewing Enhypen and they told him how they decide who gets the first shower and he told them with an expression that butter would not melt in his mouth why they do not share the shower - because that is what his members told him BTS did and therefore TXT also did. The way the Enhypen members looked at him was very funny. Personally I believe he was pranking them. But it is a fact that BTS members came into the bathroom when members showered because that was also the only WC in the apartment. It did help lowering their inhibitions to be nude in each others company. Which is helpfull because it helps when you quickly have to change clothes during concerts/shows.

Respect is earned not easily given. That's what MHJ should understand. BTS had earned that trust for a decade of hard work and loyalty. Am sorry to say NJ hasn't even earned that yet, you need to know what it's like to be humble. How entitled can you get? If you want the CEO to give his attention to you. Everything was handed down to you because it was already available and can be easily given. BTS had to fight tooth and nail to get what they are enjoying now. MHJ needs to be brought down a peg or two, the sense of entitlement is astounding to me. The worse of it all is that people believe she is the "victim". The way I see it she is showing the general public of her being the one who is wronged and justice should be served to her. She needs to be humbled to be honest.

Since MHJ was appointed as CEO of Ador for about 3 years ago, she had been negotiating for her compensation/salary/stock options, etc. and also NJ members were very well compensated in millions compared to other groups as well as BTS who had worked very hard to financially support BigHit and later on Hybe.

@emilyl1094 I agree. She had an extremely generous compensation package. She thinks that's because of her unmatched excellency. Her ego got inflated, and she kept pushing for more. Greed always brings the end at some point. She was clever, but not enough to win in her game. There are always smarter people, and she unfortunately forgot that.

Ive said this before… i see the tell tell signs of narcissistic personality disorder… I’m not a clinician…but I am a victim of the damage they do. They have a whole different way of viewing the world. Can’t reason with em. Nothing anybody says goes in. Cause they’re smarter than everybody else. They are their own entity & make their own rules. And singularly focused on getting what they want. Dangerous. I know.

Czytałam na temat ciemnych stron Kpopu i byłam przerażona tym jak traktuje się stażystów i podopiecznych.,jak niewolników.! New jeans it is true are talented and hardwork but just like all other groups within this kpop industry. But what made New jeans so successful like they are now despite only few years in the industry is simply because they are under hybe, which is connected to BTS and so they get free exposure. All five girls petitioned the court to block MHJ's dismissal. It is the same court that is dealing with MHJ's request to ban Hybe from exercising its right to vote as largest shareholder at the May 31 shareholders' meeting.

She used the connections built through BTS's fame. Think about it, will a one-year old group get those brand deals, perform at those stages, get the market exposure that NJ's got? Their Nike deal was signed even before their debut. Without a doubt, HYBE gave Ador the tools and the machinery.

I think only one member was already a trainee under Source when she began searching for members. The rest were found later in auditions and are her choice... but that was still under Source. This situation reminds many people of last year and Fifty Fifty.

Yep it’s gets clearer and clearer that her plan is to take control of Ador. And how convenient that it all started to come out as soon as BTS went into the military and before Jin and JHope come back. She knew BTS’s presence would mean the Hybe stock would not devalue with all the rumours and leaks she put out. She probably didn’t realise that BTS are still releasing content while they are away, so that will disrupt her plans as well.

Thank you (Asian Entertainment & Culture) for doing this. It was needed to counter balance the other side. Basically, MHJ is saying that what she wants SHE MUST GET and everyone has to step out of the way. Diva or DIVA! Clearly not a team player. Best thing for would be for her to resign, get the golden handshake take a holiday and then create her own label with all the investors she has been talking to, after all if she is that great at creating a gg then she should have absolutely no problem in creating more than one. Of course she won’t be able to use BTS in the new job.

To be honest, when MHJ claimed Illit copied NJ, I rolled my eyes. Because a lot of what NJ did was inspired by other artists. Especially the animated images of NJ. They are the exact same as Power Puff Girls. My point is 95 to 90 percent of what we see is inspired by someone. Heck, even Michael Jackson said he saw young kids dancing on the street doing what we call moonwalking. Yes, he made it famous, but he didn't original it. Also, when he saw others doing because of him, he was proud. Others thought it was cool enough to repeat. I don't know what or why MHJ insists on her claims without receipts. Showing personal texts about a private conversation is a low blow, especially since the tone is mostly flat. Talking face to face can have a definitely different meaning than a text or even a phone call. Asking her if her group can crush another group should be a normal conversation given the fact that she herself is eluding to the same thing with NJ. But that's my opinion. I think you are doing a great job breaking down what's going on for the layman. Thank you.

And I loved that Michael Jackson never claimed to invent the moonwalk, he always gave credit where credit was due. Even to the greats who came before him and inspired him like James Brown and Jackie Wilson

Thank you for presenting information from both sides. This is a legal issue and should not be determined by the court of public opinion. I really hope the law is enforced and HYBE is able to make the decisions needed to move on from this. ADOR is OWNED by HYBE, and as such, there are laws and operating procedures that govern how such disputes are to be handled, legally.

Thanks for the updates again! There's a lot to take in, but I would like to react to the advance purchase as a marketing strategy to boost sales. After hearing Hybe's process, I find nothing wrong with it because even book publishers do a similar thing! We can all purchase books in advance of the book's release, bookstores encouraged to purchase in bulk to stock in their shelves, especially if the book is written by a highly anticipated author. Wow, MHJ benefitted from the same Hybe marketing machine but she doesn't want other groups to use it?!

This was my exact thought! Going to book festivals and events to purchase books is a part of the lore but of course its also marketing and a reasonable behavior. Concerts too! Grocery stores do the same thing, like what is she on???

Sounds like she wants to be CEO of her own company without paying for it. She should quit in accordance with her contract and New Jeans should cancel their contracts and pay the penalties but that would cost their money not Hybe's.

Oh, please. I've been a fan of one of the historically biggest global artists for decades and once worked with what was his only social media platform in the early days. At the time, he didn't want an official website... and we were called by HIM his "Official... UN-Official" website and messageboard. Advance purchases and offering different versions of albums was a thing even back then. Actually, HE was among the first to do it on a large scale. On one occasion, this artist even had a big limited edition LP/CD set that was numbered and let fans pre-order so that we could choose the SPECIFIC numbers we wanted on our set. As the numbers had to be unique... no two the same... there was quite a race for certain numbers. The number "7" is also important to that artist, so any with lots of 7's in the ID number were gone immediately. I can't imagine how crazy that was logistically at the time.... but that's probably why there was a limit on that part of the offer. Only so many special numbers were offered, and they were only offered on a SINGLE DAY for a set amount of time. I picked three numbers special to me. My kids (now grown) know the significance of that artist to me and those specific numbers. I still have them protected in the shipping box because a copy will eventually be given to each of my kids as a remembrance. The rest of this set was sold exclusively through Walmart. Of course, you didn't get to pick your number with those. The artist did do some special promotions with Walmart for that set. So, pre-orders and different versions of albums are nothing new or unethical.

I just wish mhj would go away. She’s trying to push these girls to be more than what they are. They need to grow gradually. To me these girls sounds like your average Kpop girl group you hear one you’ve heard them all. She did not invent big jeans and tims go back to TLC. @@bqantook since nj members filed that petition which works in MHJ's favor that means that these girls are on her side. I think the answer is clear to me now which i didn't have for these past few weeks. All this while i wasn't sure whether they were really on her side like she claims and was giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are innocent and MHJ is probably using them against their will but now i can see that's not the case. I will delete any NJ song that i had in my playlist and delete every views given from my yt account to their music videos. I hope bighit also gets hybe to delete the highest viewed tiktok challenges on NJ channel which was by the way all thanks to BTS collab presence in those clips 🙂. It hurts my eyes to even look at NJ now. Because they saw all that MHJ said about BTS to the shaman and still support her? Even the bad things that MHJ said about those girls behind their backs and bodyshamed them but still they lover her? There's a saying in korean called "꼴도 보기 싫어" and That’s exactly how I'm feeling about them rn after their petition

massive multi-national contract negotiations are always done at the corporate level for a number of reasons. They have the contracts and legal dept to ensure the company is protected, they will always be able to negotiate the best rates b/c of bulk, they have the resources to do supply chain/QA auditing and billing/financial management AND they can ensure that subsidiaries aren't competing against each other for uneven rates/charges and customer service (if 6 labels are duplicating work especially smaller labels that don't have the staff, it's overall just a high risk AND high use of resources). She knows this, she's counting on most people not understanding how things work.

The complaints are very petty at this point. Before all of this I saw New Jeans as the most successful recent girl group (not only hybe but overall) successful music and setting a new standard, they got many music videos for just one song, even famous actors in their music videos, brand deals including make up, lollapalooza, the whole powerpuff girls theme album, videos, and merch, luxury living, got paid millions.And not only for one of the girls but every new jeans member had it all. Even Disney! It’s so petty to have it all and yet want everyone else to have the bare minimum! And to make it worst now she acts with a victim mentality and as if they didn’t accomplish anything because evil Hybe?

Imho I believe she had a bigger plan in her mind and I believe it could well have been to get rid of BTS and other out performing artists in Hybe/ BTS. To think for a minute that she could extort her wants from Big Hits/ Hybe is ludicrous. That company all began and was successful due to Bang P.D. the hardworking blood, sweat and tears BTS gave of themselves in the hopes and dreams of being successful, forthright and open this music to us all. These members made so many sacrifices and the world has watched the humble beginnings. It’s sad that someone may think that they could ever get away with this. We who have been here from the beginning will never forget or be persuaded to ever step away from BTS, never ever! We love our members and will always support them, will continue onward to protect the future and legacy of BTS/ Bighit. Advanced purchases only bother people who don't have a system as efficient. Buying early lets fans not worry as much about stores running out of stock quickly on release day. It's just making sure your customers get what they want after years of us complaining about everyone under estimating Army and not preparing enough albums for releases. Having the same set up for the rest of Hybe lets them grow in a smoother process without the same problems Army had. It is just good customer service given to every group's fans. That's not bad. It does lead to higher 1st week sales when they finally send the albums out after official release but it is not cheating to know your shipping and stock needs early as a global distributor. If they don't run out of pre-sales, those albums can be bought after release the normal way with no special events held by UMG. Smaller independent resellers do those things. I think what Min doesn't like about UMG's set up is that is the same template for every group so it will show Hybe and other brands an accurate view of the buying power for each group's fans and they could make decisions that don't favor NJ off popularity alone. Many groups are popular, but their fans don't always have the best purchasing power.

Not saying it doesn't provide correct rulings sometimes but that is like a occasional blessing, especially with a case like this where the majority of the country suddenly decided to go blind on the facts just because they believe in media play rumors spread by MHJ. The judge would want to make a decision that doesn't make him/her look like a person who went against the public so that he can keep his/her job intact and not lose public trust. Unfortunately a lot of judges in korea do this. This is very bizarre to me. And even in the cases where they do give guilty verdict to the actual criminals, they still don't give accurate punishments! This is the most annoying and frustrating thing for me to watch. If you look at the burning sun scandal, most of the bad guys there just got a slap on the wrist compared to the graveness of the crimes they committed(harmful acts done against other people) and when you look at drug abuse cases(harmful acts done against one's own self) they get soooo many years. The court also let off that ex president woman(Park Geun Hye is her name spelling if I'm right) who did SO MUCH damage to SO MANY people, all that corruption and deaths that was caused by her but she got out of prison so easily in a few years only. Sexual offenders get off the hook easily too. Even the ones commited against children. It's like even when they correctly catch the criminal they just wanna let them off easily and instead focus on petty crimes instead

Does the idea of k-pop artists/idols against the larger system sound familiar? Yes, that's because we have seen it genuinely happen in the most authentic manner with BTS and Bang Shi Hyuk. Since she realised there is no group that has managed to surpass BTS, it seems like she decided to copy their "rags to riches" story by posing New Jeans as the oppressed and exploted group! That's, according to me, the biggest form of plagiarism or copying! This would explain her obsession with BTS and Bang PD! At this point I hope they get what they deserve and I genuinely want them out of HYBE so that things get back in order withour such disruptive forces! Do you remember when BTS said BangPD and even some workers at Bighit did not remember their names and sometimes even confuse one by another? Do you remember when they so politely say hi to everybody and many people just ignore them?...imagine them complaining about that with their parents or anyone else. Regarding UMG partnership. Hybe is the biggest entertainment company in Korea, and BTS is signed up with them. Given this Hybe would have gotten the best deal from a distributor. If Ador were set loose, and tried to negotiate with a distributor , I doubt they would’ve gotten a better deal because they’re a small company with only one artist. They would probably have gotten a worse deal, because they don’t have the industry clout of Hybe and of course NJ doesn’t have the global status of BTS. MHJ is really stretching it trying to put Hybe in a bad light. Unfortunately in this case she just looks really stupid. She’s really a crazy woman.

Now I understand some of the noise that went on around BTS members Jimin (Face album) and Jungkook (Golden album). When people was claiming HYBE was deleting Jimin album sales and stream reviews/ not restocking his album and that BangPD did not support him and that he only supported Jungkook. That Jungkook song 3D was misogynistic. The noise about BangPD/HYBE and Scooter. It seams like she was trying to generate complaints about them to show that people do not true them (the wreaths at HYBE during Jimin promotional of his album)ect. Thank you for the video you did about BTS members solo album promotions. What I realized is that MHJ is smart because she has convince a lot of people to buy into her plan. She used ADOR employees, some of HYBE employees, outside investors, media, fans and now she's trying to use the court's. The sad part is some people is going to lose their job/pay a fine or go to jail. If they are certified or licensed they are going to lose them or can not practice in that field for awhile.

There's this Korean youtuber who explains the law in Korea about conglomerates that the state do take side with the conglomerate in regards to similar cases due to the fact that the state considers the thousands of jobs they created. What will happen if they will hurt the conglomerate? They might fall down and lose a lot of jobs for their citizen so there's this law that protects conglomerates. He also pointed out the timing of event that HYBE recently turned into a conglomerate. So now, it has become more difficult for MHJ to win this case. Maybe that's the reason why NJ wrote a letter (allegedly written by them but I doubt) to the court to express support to MHJ. I don't think it will bear weight in any way tho. All I see now the end of this drama and probably, NJ's career.

I do believe BangPD/HYBE, the girls and their parents needs to talk and go over their contracts with lawyers on both side so there's no misunderstanding.

I just want to thank you for giving updates and keeping youtube army informed while trying to remain professional about all this. I've been seeing other channels cover this but it's mostly full of drama and many don't like Hybe. I really don't understand the hate because the labels control their own groups and I don't think many even understand how business works, I don't think people know that if you work under a company your artistic concepts are the companies concepts they own those even legally speaking. If you wanna debate this on a bigger scale sure by all means but that would be entertainment business as a whole. And I thought the Audit came before MHJ formally submitted these claims about plagiarism to the company maybe I'm wrong but in that case it would be a reaction to the audit as if she was actually concerned she would have filed the claim with the company before that.

A survey showed 64% ppl in sk are not interested in mhj hybe feud. Only 10-15% (in their 20s) are defending mhj (known as knetz) . You know what this means? She paid some jobless looosers to talk sht, exactly the way she paid someone to act like yoongi n tae to steal info, the way she paid to spread rumours about many hybe artists. So I don't think it's the entire knetz that supports her. But a few can create havoc.

The problem with this woman is that she seemed to be really aiming to be the ceo of hybe. Questioning all the decisions that hybe make, critiquing all their moves. Woman that is not your job. Your job is branding improvement, do that. Then maybe after 10 years , after all the hardwork of NJ , you'll be a ceo of your conglomerate, but work hard first, not complain.

Gracias por la información tan detallada, el mundo empresarial es muy complejo, el marketing se aplica en los negocios donde su objetivo es vender y obtener ganancia, lamentable pero así pasa a veces ser confrontado por su propio equipo de trabajo es desleal, si no estás de acuerdo con la política de trabajo te vas de la empresa y continuas tu vida en paz, pero criticar un sistema e igual beneficiarse del mismo es mucha hipocresía.

Min just shows how inexperienced she is by the request to shop around. She acts like UMG isn’t one of the biggest distributors in the world and she has to know that discounts only exist if you are loyal or have a contract to bring them big business. Both companies win, a win-win in business. Some companies will try and get your business upfront by undercutting other businesses for a short period of time to get you in the door but then they will have to increase it above that for years to come to recoup their losses. Every business needs to make a profit or else they will be out of business.

I love your approach on how the industry works, I'm into numbers and how the organizarions work into development plans for the mid long term future, I can't describe it here Hybe's mentallity since is a big organization...anyways... thanks 💜
